Between dynamic variables, custom intro lines and personalized images, every email lands like it was written one to one, even when I'm sending hundreds a day. I regularly get prospects replying to ask how the message felt so tailored. The other standout is the waterfall enrichment: instead of juggling separate data tools, lemlist runs multiple providers in sequence to find verified emails and phone numbers, so my coverage of valid contact data jumped, my bounce rate dropped, and it consolidated a big chunk of my stack into one platform. My main wish is a single per-prospect activity timeline, so I could click one contact and see every email, LinkedIn touch and call in one unified view. For example, it would be really helpful to enter a custom range for employee counts. The personalization is the standout for us. Being able to insert custom variables, personalized images, and dynamic snippets means our cold emails actually read like they were written for one person rather than blasted to a list, and that's made a real difference in reply rates. On top of that the interface is genuinely easy to work with — we can build and launch a campaign without needing a specialist to run it, and new team members get up to speed quickly. The built-in deliverability tools (warm-up and inbox management) give us confidence that our emails are actually landing in the inbox, and having email plus LinkedIn steps in a single multichannel sequence keeps our whole outreach motion in one place instead of stitching together separate tools. The main thing is that the more advanced features come with a bit of a learning curve — things like the more sophisticated conditional sequencing and personalization logic take some time to really master, and we didn't unlock their full value until we'd put in a few weeks of trial and error. At Expirio we use Lemlist for cold email outreach and lead generation/prospecting. It's become the backbone of how we find prospects and run personalized outreach campaigns at scale. The biggest benefit is that it lets a lean team run outreach that still feels personal — we get the volume of an automated tool with the response quality of hand-written emails, and the deliverability features mean that effort isn't wasted landing in spam. As a legal growth consultant doing simultaneous email and LinkedIn outreach to law firms across the United States, managing everything manually was a constant struggle. Spacing out emails sporadically throughout the day, tracking follow-up timing, finding verified emails, and keeping tabs on lead engagement were all separate challenges with no central system tying them together. Lemlist solved all of that under one roof. The automation is where Lemlist really shines. Being able to set up multi-step campaigns that space out emails and LinkedIn actions automatically has saved me hours every week. I no longer have to think about when to follow up because the sequence handles it. The automatic lead pausing when someone replies is a game-changer. Before Lemlist, I had to manually monitor every conversation to make sure automated messages did not keep going out to someone I was already talking to. While Lemlist has been an excellent tool overall, there are a few areas where I would love to see improvements. The campaign analytics could be more granular. For example, when running A/B tested subject lines, it would be helpful to see a clear side-by-side breakdown of open rates per variation rather than having to manually calculate the difference. The current reporting makes it harder than it should be to draw quick conclusions from split tests. I would also love the ability to rename individual campaign steps. Right now, steps are labeled by subject line or a generic label like "send automated email," which makes it difficult to navigate longer sequences at a glance. Being able to label steps as Email 1, Email 2, LinkedIn Follow Up 1, and so on would make campaign management significantly cleaner, especially when running multiple campaigns simultaneously. The same goes for being able to see what steps a lead is in, such as what step the lead has gone through and what steps it is yet to take. One more analytics improvement I would suggest is showing reply rate based on total contacts in a campaign, in addition to total messages sent. The current calculation can be misleading when a contact receives multiple follow-ups. A contact-based reply rate would give a more accurate picture of how your outreach is actually performing. The LinkedIn extension occasionally takes a moment to load, but this is a minor inconvenience and not a dealbreaker given everything else the platform delivers.
