I like being able to leverage Zapier to customize variables in my campaign. I found and use Lemlist (even with the issues we've run into) because I can customize the first line of each email by leveraging a Google Sheet to customize fields. As an early-stage SaaS founder, I've found the content on their blog and tutorials incredibly helpful, and I'll always appreciate Lemlist because of that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The first time we used the Zapier integration to populate a field from a Google Sheet, the line pulled in dynamically was a different font than the rest of the message, ruining our campaign. Because of this, we stopped using Lemlist and just used Lemwarm.
Used Lemwarm for over a year but ran into issues when they transitioned Lemwarm to its own product/website. Warming stopped working, but our account was still being billed. I reached out to support to see if I could get a refund for the month things weren't running, and overall have had a pretty demoralizing experience. Their support process is purposely complicated: almost as if to make you abandon all hopes of retribution.
In our scenario, I requested a refund for the period Lemwarm wasn't running after their move to a new domain, and the support team has been anything but helpful. First, they asked me to confirm the transaction occurred by sending over CC details and a screenshot of the statement in my bank account. Next, they said it would take 7 days to hear back from the finance team to verify the information I sent over. After 7 days, they asked me for "proof" that Lemwarm wasn't working during the period I requested a refund for (a screenshot of my inbox was proof enough). Finally, after all that, they told me it was my fault I didn't go in and fix the warming feature after they made the domain change. After more back and forth, I asked if I could just get a credit towards a future subscription, and support is telling me it'll take another 2 days to be reviewed and approved by a supervisor.
As you can tell, their support process is purposely set up to be complicated. As a fellow SaaS founder, it's demoralizing to run into such a terrible support process, especially over such a small amount of money. Unfortunately, I will need to continue using Lemlist until I find an alternative that handles the first-line customization. While I will remain a customer, I will not remain an advocate. A warming tool is great, mailing tools just work(sometimes...) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hubspot manual task synchronization does not exist, tasks sometimes can be absent(yes, you can create a campaign, and tasks can be absent for some prospects), UX isn't intuitive, and reports don't look nice with all those stupid emojis. But all that is nothing the worst thing is numerous bugs. The system can be down during your working process and you can do nothing but sit and wait till your ticket is done. It's inappropriate for such expensive software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Does the job of sending out emails but has a terrible UI Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Their refund policy is not to refund any money back to you. So, if we buy into their yearly plan and want to cancel, you will not get anything back. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I liked the dashboard, it was aesthetic and a nice way to see your cold email stats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
their support and billing practices. I had my account disabled for months when I was not using the service, when I reactivated the service the billed me for the months that my account was not active as well as the current month. They were extremely rude when I questioned them and asked for a refund. I never got a refund and they just kept the money even though my account was not active. Was recommended this to try to help my team. We even paid for a year membership right off the bat without testing. When started testing they didn't even have a button to send an email.
After we won the credit card dispute they wanted to be fair and "Give us our refund" then blocked our account.
Poor experience went with a competitor that actually has the ability to send emails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Poor customer experience and head of customer success is problem-oriented. Could be solution-oriented but would rather move just refund after they lost disputes. Would not recommend to anyone. Told my recommendation and they had no problem but they feel uneasy after reading the messages as it seems how they handle problems is not fixing them but hiding behind a terms and conditions.
Did not use the product at all and they argued with me on how I shouldn't receive a refund do the terms and conditions. Not because the service did not work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Intuitive to use, simple and clean UX, easy to onboard new people Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Our team needs to deal with Lemlist's bug on weekly basis. In short, new week - new bug. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I seriously can't find one thing that I like about Lemlist. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This tool with an "extremely complex and advanced algorithm" simply does not work!!! I've never seen a campaign completed within the given schedule. Not mine, not one of my colleagues. With their latest "improvements" it turned into a quagmire.
This Monday I was supposed to send only 92 emails to my leads. Just to be safe, I set my campaign schedule from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm with 2 minutes intervals on Monday. So supposedly it can send 120 emails within 4 hours. I'm not talking about a 2-3 hours delay here. On Tuesday at 4:30 pm only half of the emails were sent. I tried to get help from their robotic customer support. I simply asked what can we do to complete this campaign today before midnight. Their answer was something like this as always: "Please understand that our algorithm is extremely complex. We have such an advanced sending algorithm to help our users. This is what happened in your campaign."
Long story short my campaign was completed in 48 hours with only 92 emails to go. The thing is my teammate also uses the same account after I'm done. But since it's never done on time, he can't start work on his campaign, and our whole plan is delayed. And constantly we'll have to explain to our supervisor why our tasks are not complete yet.
Whatever you ask they reply by stating that they have an ADVANCED ALGORITHM that depends on MANY FACTORS. It is what it is and from what I've understood their users have to accept this.
My advice to your customer support is maybe it'd be better if they spend more time analyzing what kinds of issues their users are having and try to solve them instead of sending heart emojis at the end of every sentence.
I'd ditch this tool in a heartbeat if it were my choice but unfortunately, due to company decision, I have to live through this torture on a monthly basis.
I've tried a lot of tools that don't deliver their promises in the past however I've never felt like writing a bad review because somehow they've managed to really explain what's going on and tried to solve the problem. But definitely not Lemlist!
Don't even bother trying out Lemlist. Find yourself a tool with a less advanced algorithm. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There was very little to comment on anything remotely positive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We were double charged and placed on two subscriptions. After numerous attempts to contact support and emails exchanged, they eventually reluctantly gave us a refund (again this was a technical issue on their end). Shortly after, Lemlist increased the cost of our plan without any warning or acknowledgment. We stopped using their product and were continued to be charged for several months. After speaking with the head of business development, who was extremely unprofessional in communication, we were unable to get a refund on the increased plan they sneakily put us on. We chose lemlist while building an outbound sales function because we could quickly integrate with our existing systems and get started with low-cost and effort.
We are pretty voracious and understanding software consumers, so we expected using lemlist would be a breeze. However, we were quickly disappointed by a UI overhaul that made things difficult to navigate.
Support was often slow o unable to resolve our technincal questions. We felt the support agents we interacted with lacked knowledge about the application and did not take time to understand the concerns we raised... and, most importantly, how they impacted our business. Frustratingly, every interaction was coupled with a slew of emojis which feels tone-deaf when a reported bug is causing your sales team to burn valuable leads.
Finally, we've been trying to downgrade our usage for 2 months like another review cites. But due to either a bug in their billing infrastructure or support's inability to help us, have not yet been able to reduce our usage or cost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The lemwarm feature warms up email domain Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Coming from a small business, lemlist was good for initially warming up my email domain, however, I would not recommend them due to an overall clunky UI and just very poor customer service.
Poor customer service - I've had several experiences with the customer service that were not ideal. The support reps I messaged took several hours to respond to me (10+ for some responses) and were never able to resolve issues, they only confirmed to me that the problems do exist. I decreased the number of subscriptions from my team and they refused to refund me for the unused subscription, which was a huge red flag to me.
Email tracking - Their email tracking is inaccurate and counts your own clicks as an "open."
Reviewing emails - There is no way to review your drafted emails after you queue them, even if you want to go back in to make an edit, nor can you even look at the email after queuing it.
UI - A lot of the features are clunky and have to be figured out on your own. I had to make a separate email address to experiment and figure out how the sending works, and I've had experiences where I fill in a variable field for a template and the sent email never fills in the blank space.
