Our team is international, and we usually liase with investors from different countries and timezones. We didn't yet have an employee equity plan when we invested in Ledgy and it was 100% the right thing to do to get a tool before attempting to set up the plan, as we got so much input, support and advice on the plan structure as part of the onboarding process. The absolute best thing about Ledgy is how much time and trouble it takes out of the administration of an employee equity plan, from granting shares, getting documentation signed, making changes to grants, terminating grants and all the while knowing exactly what is left in the pool. Ledgy is insanely simple to use. I haven't had to refer to any documentation whilst using or setting it up. I wish that they offered a generic employee share participation plan instead of the country-specific ones as the UK does not have a company-specific share participation plan. I initially used ledgy to simply manage shareholders as I had all of the details spread across multiple excel spreadsheets.
