It's simple to learn--it just always made sense to me. My projects can be as simple or complex as I want. I can take advantage of built-in functions or create my own programming. What problems is Lectora solving and how is that benefiting you? Most recently, it was necessary to develop training for multiple audiences, each with their own unique requirements. The use of variables allowed me to identify the audience a user belonged to at the start of the course, and then let the programming guide the user through that audience-specific content. The output works flawlessly with each and every LMS I've had to push it out to. Captivate and Articulate have never worked without further editing to the manifest or Javascript . It leaves enough open for me to add custom code, and takes out a lot of the repetitive actions most other tools don't address. The options to publish are great! Always have been...and generally the published modules work, as published, with any LMS. I like that security, especially when you're on a deadline. The benefits is that I know it will work on our LMS every time so there's less worry about the published outcomes. Testing is more about content issues than courseware issues. Lectora is valuable to me because it provides me the ability to create conditions and variables. I've come across few limitations and overall appreciate the power that the software provides. Even on their website, most of the entries are minimal and dated plus there is very little information that I found to be helpful. On occasion I've used the search engines to find other Lectora user groups and communities but they all circle back to the Trivantis website which once again I did no not think it is helpful at all. The flexibility to design without any restrictions. I like that I can incorporate almost anything into my training such as videos, audio, social media, etc. The interface is friendly and easy to use. It doesn't take long to learn Lectora and get yourself rolling. You can have no design background and use the custom design features or use outside software to make yourself a really nice looking course. LMS integration is easy. Adding external HTML is easy. Developers have told me the output code is a bit sloppy. The updates are sometimes not so much about features, but about improved UI and buttons.
