  ### 6. Great software that is effective and user friendly.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pasu C. | Assistant Controller, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2021

**What do you like best about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery?**

How easy it is to upload leases and run reports. .

**What do you dislike about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery?**

I would like to see a function to download amortization tables for multiple leases at once. .

**Recommendations to others considering LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery:**

If you are looking for a lease accounting software, I would add LQ to your list to review.

**What problems is LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We adopted ASC 842 in a short time frame with all required reporting for the auditors with the help of LQ. .

**Official Response from Harris Kiefer:**

> Hi Pasu! Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are glad to hear LeaseQuery has made your transition to ASC 842 easier. We also appreciate your product feedback and have passed it along to your CSM.

  ### 7. FinQuery has been amazing!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sara C. | Assistant Controller, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2024

**What do you like best about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery?**

What I like most about LeaseQuery is the robust amount of resources we have for the system. If you have a question about how to change a lease, ASC 842 in general, or any other lease related questions there is almost always a post about it. If your situation is very specific then you can always reach out to a team member with your question and they are always super knowledgeable and quick to respond.

**What do you dislike about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery?**

The only dislike I can think of is when a change is made in Leasequery, sometimes the approvals can be a little tricky to complete submit the lease for approval. But that is a small item.

**What problems is LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Leasequery does all of the technical accounting for our leases. If we were to do this manually, it would be extremely time consuming to build amortization tables and the various journal entries. It would also be very prone to error. LQ is very accurate and robust. LQ is also great with changes that need to be made for leases. If were to do this manually, we would have to redo all of the amorization tables and JEs and it would be very time consuming.

**Official Response from Nat Bucsko:**

>
We're delighted to hear that LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery has been such a valuable resource for your lease accounting needs, offering comprehensive support and knowledgeable assistance. We've passed your feedback on the approval process on to our product development team. We're pleased that LeaseQuery's accuracy and efficiency in handling technical accounting tasks have significantly streamlined your operations, saving time and minimizing errors!

  ### 8. Year-End Reporting Made Effortless with FinQuery

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery?**

I love the journals that FinQuery creates for year end and all of the year end reports. It makes GASB 87 and 96 much easier.

**What do you dislike about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery?**

I dislike that journal entry screen is not very "smart". When I choose to get a journal based on an actual lease ID, the screen should know if it is GASB 87, or 96 and it should know if it is landlord or tenant all based on the lease id. Also, we should be able to go get a journal entry straight from the lease screens. If i am reviewing a lease contract, there should be an option to create a journal for that lease.

**What problems is LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps by producing the journals I need and the reports that reconcile to the amortization schedules.

  ### 9. Exceptionally User-Friendly with Fast, Effective Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ani G. | Controller, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery?**

This software is extremely user-friendly and intuitive, making it easy to collect and store data for creating downloads that can be effortlessly converted into journal entries. Whenever I reached out to customer support, my requests were handled promptly and resolved quickly.

**What do you dislike about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery?**

I honestly can't find anything negative to say, as this has been a significant improvement over our previous process.

**What problems is LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before switching to this software, we relied on a spreadsheet. Now, this solution has taken over, providing better data security and managing our approval processes directly within its platform.

  ### 10. Overall, highly recommend Leasquery powered by Finquery for all your lease accounting needs!

This flexibility has been extremely helpful when responding to requests from leadership. Additionally, I really enjoy how seamlessly the Leasquery/Finquery integrations work with our accounting software, making it much simpler to complete monthly journal entries.

**What do you dislike about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery?**

At times, the bulk update process can be somewhat cumbersome to use, especially when it comes to identifying and correcting errors that occur during bulk updates.

**What problems is LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Leasequery powered by Finquery has made it easier and more efficient for us to manage our lease portfolio. Whenever I have questions, their customer service and Help Center have been valuable resources, with the Help Center in particular being especially helpful to me.

  ### 11. Review for Lease Query

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brittany C. | Staff Accountant II, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you dislike about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery?**

There can be confusion during implementation, especially when leases are complex with amendments, renewals, modifications. While customer support may be available, in urgent situations responses can be slower than ideal.

**What problems is LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

High volume of lease agreements with varying terms, amendment's and compliance needs.

  ### 12. LeaseQuery: User-Friendly, Time-Saving, and Exceptional Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angie D. | Director of Financial Contracts, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2025

**What do you like best about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery?**

LeaseQuery was strongly recommended to us by our CPA firm, and it has effectively addressed our compliance needs for ASC842. I have found the platform to be user-friendly, making the process much smoother. The customer service team consistently goes above and beyond, making LeaseQuery a valuable business partner.

**What do you dislike about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery?**

I haven't found any downsides. This product has saved me countless hours of work.

**What problems is LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ASC 842 is a standard that has significantly changed the way leases are accounted for. It requires companies to recognize most leases on their balance sheets, which has made the process more transparent but also more complex. Adapting to ASC 842 can be challenging, especially for organizations with a large number of leases, as it demands careful tracking and updated systems. Overall, while the standard increases clarity in financial reporting, it also introduces additional work and complexity for those responsible for compliance.

  ### 13. Enhancing Software Over Time

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2025

**What do you like best about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery?**

Since then, LeaseQuery has made meaningful improvements. The AI-driven lease entry feature is a standout enhancement—streamlining the onboarding of new leases with impressive efficiency and accuracy. This has significantly reduced manual data entry and the risk of errors.
Another welcome update is the introduction of locked period entries, which appears to have resolved many of the prior period modification issues. By preventing unintended changes to closed reporting periods, this feature has added a layer of control and auditability that was previously missing.
Overall, LeaseQuery has evolved from a reactive solution to a more robust and user-friendly platform. While the early implementation had its growing pains, the recent updates demonstrate a clear commitment to improving functionality and user experience.

**What do you dislike about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery?**

When ASC 842 was first introduced, LeaseQuery emerged as one of the early software solutions specifically designed to address the new lease accounting requirements. As a first-generation tool in this space, it provided a much-needed framework for managing lease data and ensuring compliance. However, like many systems launched in response to new regulations, the initial implementation came with challenges.
One of the most notable hurdles during the first year of adoption was handling modifications to prior period entries. The system lacked flexibility in this area, making it difficult to adjust leases retroactively without impacting reporting integrity. This created complications for teams trying to reconcile historical data while maintaining compliance.

**What problems is LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking Lease Accounting, ease of audit tracking.

  ### 14. It perfectly balances quality and efficiency for lease related needs.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ethan K. | Accountant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2025

**What do you like best about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery?**

LeaseQuery utilizes a dynamic, user-friendly interface that enables people of all backgrounds to safely navigate and understand key details of their leases. This enables better detail oriented financial reporting and seamless organization provided for all documentation stored within. As a result, LeaseQuery is a useful tool that can be relied on by all financial professionals.

**What do you dislike about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery?**

The company is struggling to integrate LeaseQuery with 3rd party software like Okta. Okta is used as a space to organize software applications and websites, customized for professional or personal use. It is essential from a professional standpoint to use 3rd party applications like Okta, because it allows for multi-factor authentication. It would be nice to have this multifactor authentication so that system admins could assist in IT related issues. As of now, we have to log in through LeaseQuery portal without any multi-factor authentication.

**What problems is LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is organizing and giving notice about leases that need approval at a high level. It helps generate reports necessary for account reconciliation and for generating journal entries to amortize leases.

  ### 15. From manual to automated, LeaseQuery made us efficient and accurate!

I like the peace of mind that everything is automated and all in one place. I can customize nearly anything I want, including eliminating intercompany leases. Creating, renewing, and modifying leases is really simple. I was manually tracking and calculating ASC 842 leases before using LeaseQuery and it was a daunting task. With multiple entities in our consolidation, it was complicating and time consuming. Now I spend roughly 30 minutes a month on it and it couldn't be easier.

**What do you dislike about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery?**

Some of the page views could be improved for ease of navigation.

**What problems is LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It calculated our lease obligation and consolidated everything into simple reports that are easy to read and manage.

Sometimes the system runs slower than I would like especially when making reports and it feels a bit pricey, but fixing the speed issues would make it almost perfect.

**What problems is LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LeaseQuery helps me avoid messy spreadsheets and slow manual tracking. It keeps all lease info clean, accurate, and easy to review with my team. Because of this, I get my work done quicker and with fewer errors.

  ### 17. Effortless Setup and Seamless Integrations Across Countries

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** tarun B. | Network Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2025

We use it regularly because uploading and managing leases is straightforward, and the screens are clearly laid out. It has plenty of helpful features and connects smoothly with tools like Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, NetSuite, and others. The support team is quick to respond and always open to feedback, which makes the whole experience even better.

**What do you dislike about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery?**

Updates are helpful, but sometimes they change the layout slightly and take time to get used to. More consistent design would make transitions easier.

**What problems is LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The system makes it easy to understand what we owe, what is upcoming, and what needs attention. Having everything organized in one dashboard helps us make better decisions.

  ### 18. Great Leas Accounting Software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Allyssa S. | Senior Accountant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2025

**What do you like best about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery?**

The best part of LeaseQuery are the individual lease amortization tables. So easy to reconcile to the GL and check what the balances are supposed to be. Anytime I have needed help the support team is extremely helpful in solving the issue. I use LQ on a dialy basis and it is just easy.

**What do you dislike about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery?**

I have ran into a few one off items that are quirks in the system. Some items are so unique it may not be the easiest to account for. Just because of how my company handles certain lease aspects.

**What problems is LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easily calculates the journal entries for the month to export and post into the GL. Keeping a database of leased properties.

  ### 19. LeaseQuery understands Accountants

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2025

**What do you like best about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery?**

LeaseQuery is a very easy to use tool when it comes to keeping track of our leases. The system is spelled out nicely to figure out exactly what needs to be entered. Our support staff is friendly, timely, and willing to go the extra mile to help make sure that any issues are dealt with quickly, as to not leave us with outstanding items at month or quarter end. Implementation was pretty flawless in that LeaseQuery entered our current leases for us, saving us valuable time. Once we were given access to the system, we were met with great support as we integrated into using the platform and all its features. We are in the system on a daily basis, so having the pages easy to use and the system work fast is very helpful for us.

**What do you dislike about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery?**

The one thing I have found that I don't like about LeaseQuery is the new way to enter leases. I go back to the legacy format every time as the information stays exactly how I entered it. And AI doesn't work for all of our lease information we receive so manual entering is necessary.

**What problems is LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keep up with all the renewal dates and when payments change is easier with LeaseQuery since it notifies us of changes coming up, or items getting ready to expire. We can be more proactive knowing we get information all the time.

  ### 20. From Implementation to Today: A Great Experience with LeaseQuery

**What do you like best about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery?**

The platform is highly intuitive and user-friendly, which has made lease accounting much easier for our team. The implementation process went smoothly, and we received support at every stage. Our internal accounting system is Microsoft Dynamics, and the LeaseQuery implementation team guided us throughout to ensure the integration was not only seamless but also efficient. Sending monthly journal entries from LeaseQuery to Microsoft Dynamics is straightforward and quick—just a few clicks each month, and the journal entries are ready to post. This process helps eliminate manual errors and ensures accuracy in our reporting. Additionally, it gives us confidence in our compliance with ASC 842 and other relevant standards. The support team is always responsive and knowledgeable, truly feeling like an extension of our own staff. Overall, LeaseQuery has saved us countless hours by automating calculations and reporting.

**What do you dislike about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery?**

Initially, the learning curve was somewhat steep, but thanks to the support team, we were able to overcome it quickly.

**What problems is LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery has addressed the challenges of lease compliance and reporting under ASC 842 by automating complex calculations, consolidating all our lease data, and minimizing the risk of manual errors. I love that LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery makes 842 lease accounting an efficient process and keeps all of our data organized. It's really a valuable tool in simplifying complex accounting tasks and enhancing productivity.

  ### 22. Using LeaseQuery has made tracking our leases and completing our month-end journal entries simple.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2025

**What do you like best about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery?**

Using LeaseQuery helps to keep track of all of our leases in one area and generate all necessary entries painlessly at the end of the month. LeaseQuery helps ease the worry and time consuming task of making sure all our lease accounting methods are up to date with current standards. We recently had a call with Michael to discuss how we are liking the system and he informed us of possible integration with our ERP system that we are intrigued to look into. Michael was very informative and professional and we look forward to communicating with him in the future.

**What do you dislike about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery?**

In using LeaseQuery we have noticed that the different ways to make updates to and amend leases whether from an amended lease, extended lease, or an import error are not always straightforward and simple to determine. We have tried using the help center articles, but many of the articles seem to conflict with each other and we typically end up using a "guess and check" type method when we have to make any changes.

**What problems is LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping track of our leases and all associated dates, creating month-end and catch-up journal entries, creating amortization schedules, and producing month and year end reports that help with our financial reporting. LeaseQuery taking care of these tasks for us helps simplify our close and reporting processes and is very beneficial in saving our time.

  ### 23. Self-Sufficient with LeaseQuery’s Help Center

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hemalini P. | Senior Corporate Accountant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2025

**What do you like best about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery?**

At my current company, I am the sole person responsible for working in LeaseQuery, which means that when I encounter a task, I'm unfamiliar with, there's no internal resource I can turn to for help. In those situations, the LeaseQuery Help Center has become my lifeline. I’ve found their support team to be highly responsive and knowledgeable, always providing clear answers to my questions. What I value most, however, are the self-help guides. These resources are not only detailed and aligned with ASC 842 standards, but they also provide easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions that make applying changes in LeaseQuery straightforward and efficient.

**What do you dislike about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery?**

One challenge I’ve encountered is that when navigating between tabs, it's necessary to click 'Save'—if you forget, any unsaved data is lost. Additionally, I think it would be incredibly helpful to have the option to save templates, specifically with pre-filled GL Account details for different lease types. This would save a significant amount of time and reduce manual entry when using the legacy forms for lease additions.
In addition, it would be extremely beneficial if LeaseQuery allowed for larger file sizes to be uploaded within the Documents tab. Given the volume and size of our lease-related documents—especially in project accounting—this enhancement would significantly streamline our workflow and ensure all critical files are stored in one centralized location.

**What problems is LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LeaseQuery provides accurate support in distinguishing between operating and finance lease classifications. It serves as a single source of truth for all our company’s ASC 842 leases, especially when it comes to organizing and storing our lease contracts. In project accounting, we manage a large volume of land lease documents, and the ability to attach all relevant files directly to each lease within the system is incredibly helpful. Additionally, LeaseQuery ensures accurate monthly journal entries for amortization, right-of-use (ROU) assets, and lease liability balances."

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Barbara S. | Accounting Supervisor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2025

The most helpful feature of LeaseQuery is the Complete Disclosures report to assist with footnote preparation. The most beneficial time-saving feature is the journal entry report.

I find that the screen format changes when in entry, approval, or update mode. A consistent look and feel of the application would be helpful.

**What problems is LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 29. LeaseQuery removes the constant audit uncertainty, making our lease disclosures incredibly robust

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniele A. | Resource Management Analyst, Real Estate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2025

**What do you like best about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery?**

The one thing that I found appreciate about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery is the extensive audit trail options. All changes in a lease, be it a renewal or a partial termination are all carefully recorded, something that has made our external audit exercises considerably easier. The other most significant advantage is the ease with which the system separates our numerous real estate operating leases and the few finance leases on equipment. It has been clarity that has facilitated proper financial reporting.

**What do you dislike about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery?**

The integration of new lease schedules also sometimes comes in with a slightly less user friendly first-time setup process. Slower load times on creating a very large summary report that crosses multiple entities are also encountered at times. Finally, I would prefer to have greater control over the authorizations of individual users to particular reporting views as opposed to general authorization.

**What problems is LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reconciliation of lease changes and staying in conformity with new leasing accounting standards on dozens of store leases was a continuous manual exercise that we most readily solved. During quarter close we used to be always in a rush to update spreadsheets and verify journal entries. Ever since the adoption of LeaseQuery, all of that stress was eliminated. On any modification or renewal of store lease, the system automatically changes the schedules and entries. This has changed our month end close entirely that was a mad hunt to get the data now we have a confident, smooth process where we believe our numbers.

The function of explaining how to enter IFRS16 is simply worded and educational. The initial setup was also quite easy.

**What do you dislike about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery?**

When changing the effective date, the payments entered before gets reset, that is inconvenient.

Additionally, customer support has been excellent in addressing issues in a timely manner.

**What do you dislike about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery?**

One of the only drawbacks of the software is that the catch-up feature available when adding new leases is not available for existing leases that are remeasured or renewed. This feature would be very useful when such changes are not found until after the period they went into effect.

**What problems is LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2025

**What do you like best about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery?**

As a Sr. Practice Accountant, I’ve worked extensively with LeaseQuery to manage lease accounting under ASC 842. Here are the best things I have noticed with LeaseQuery:

Compliance Confidence: LeaseQuery makes it easy to stay compliant with ASC 842. The built-in validations and audit trails help ensure accuracy and transparency.
Automated Journal Entries: The automation of journal entries saves significant time and reduces manual errors, especially during month-end close.
Reporting Tools: The reporting capabilities are robust and customizable, which is helpful for both internal analysis and external audit support.
User-Friendly Interface: The layout is intuitive, making it easier to onboard new team members and navigate lease data efficiently.

**What do you dislike about LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery?**

The least favorite things I have noticed with leaseQuery are:

Limited Flexibility for Complex Leases: For leases with non-standard terms or multiple components, the system can feel rigid and sometimes requires workarounds.
Integration Challenges: While journal entries are automated, syncing with our ERP system occasionally requires manual intervention or support tickets.
Bulk Upload Limitations: Importing large volumes of lease data can be cumbersome, especially when dealing with legacy leases or mid-term modifications.
Customer Support Wait Times: While the support team is knowledgeable, response times can vary, which can be frustrating during time-sensitive periods like year-end.

**What problems is LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LeaseQuery has addressed several key challenges in our lease accounting process, and the impact has been significant:

Problems Solved:

Manual Lease Tracking: Before LeaseQuery, we relied heavily on spreadsheets to track lease terms, payments, and modifications. This was time-consuming and prone to errors.
ASC 842 Compliance: Navigating the complexities of the new lease accounting standards was difficult without a centralized system. LeaseQuery simplified the transition and ongoing compliance.
Month-End Close Delays: Generating accurate journal entries and amortization schedules used to slow down our close process.
Audit Readiness: Gathering documentation and support for audits was scattered and inefficient.

How That Benefits Me:

Increased Accuracy: LeaseQuery’s automation reduces the risk of manual errors and ensures consistent calculations across all leases.
Time Savings: Month-end close is faster thanks to automated journal entries and built-in reporting tools.
Better Visibility: I can easily access lease data, run reports, and analyze impacts on the balance sheet and P&L in real time.
Audit Confidence: Having a centralized system with audit trails and documentation makes audit prep smoother and less stressful.
Overall, LeaseQuery has streamlined our lease accounting process, improved compliance, and freed up time for more strategic work.

Occasionally, generating reports takes longer than expected, and I wish the performance speed was more consistent during peak usage. If those areas were improved, it would make the experience close to perfect for me.

**What problems is LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LeaseQuery powered by FinQuery is helping solve the challenge of staying compliant with lease accounting standards while also keeping all lease information organized in one system. Before using it, managing leases across multiple locations and contracts felt messy and time-consuming, with a high risk of errors. Now, the platform streamlines the process by centralizing lease data, automating calculations, and providing clear reporting tools. This not only saves time but also improves accuracy and transparency for audits and financial reporting. It has reduced manual work, given me more confidence in the numbers, and ultimately allowed me to focus on more strategic tasks instead of chasing down lease details
