Crunchafi, formerly known as LeaseCrunch, is a highly effective solution for managing lease accounting under both FASB and GASB standards. The platform generates accurate accounting entries and comprehensive amortization schedules, supporting a clean and compliant workflow. Its interface is intuitive and user-friendly, making navigation and implementation straightforward for accounting teams.

What do you dislike about Crunchafi Lease Accounting (formerly LeaseCrunch)?

This is not a dislike but rather a concern based on a prior experience. When I updated the Accounting Unit, the system processed the change correctly; however, the original Accounting Unit was overwritten, making the historical record untraceable. Crunchafi addresses the challenge of managing a high volume of leases and the significant time required to create accurate monthly journal entries. Manually preparing these entries would be cumbersome and difficult to sustain, especially with tight monthly close deadlines. With Crunchafi, the process is streamlined - generating the necessary entries takes only a few clicks, which greatly improves efficiency for the accounting team. In addition, the system produces all essential lease-related reports quickly, ensuring we have complete, reliable information available within a very short timeframe. What do you like best about Crunchafi Lease Accounting (formerly LeaseCrunch)?

What I like best about Crunchafi Lease Accounting is how simple and accurate it makes compliance with the new lease accounting standards. As a non-profit with a single capital lease, the software takes what could be a complex and time-consuming process and automates it. It clearly tracks the lease details, calculates the amortization, and generates the monthly journal entries, which saves time and reduces the risk of errors. It also provides confidence that our lease is being accounted for correctly and consistently, which has been especially helpful from an audit standpoint. What problems is Crunchafi Lease Accounting (formerly LeaseCrunch) solving and how is that benefiting you?

Most accountants can use a spreadsheet to keep track of leases, but by using this tool, our external auditors can easily verify the accuracy of the journal entries relating to leases. It also takes care of difficult calculation like the discount rate that can cause potential wrong formulas in a spreadsheet. What do you like best about Crunchafi Lease Accounting (formerly LeaseCrunch)?

Crunchafi has greatly reduced the amount of time we spend on our operational lease accounting. We manage over 150 vehicle leases and around 20 property leases, and before using Crunchafi, we relied on Excel spreadsheets. That approach was not only cumbersome but also led to frequent errors. Although the initial setup with Crunchafi was somewhat challenging, once we entered all our leases into the system, the process became much more efficient. Now, everything runs smoothly.
