There is no classroom based options available which doesn't always support all learning styles. The totara based platform is so comprehensive it takes a while to learn fully, although this is what makes it so configurable. **Recommendations to others considering Learning Pool - Platform:** Understand all of the solutions available and which best fits your organisation need. Consider your organisation structure, how you might want to create reports and push out learning as this will impact the data in the LMS. They made appropriate suggestions, and developed a creative and visually appealing product, with a good understanding of the content and the underlying values. **What do you dislike about Learning Pool - Platform?** The time frame was difficult to manage, because the organisation is very complex ( NHS). Also, there were a lot of stakeholders who needed to be consulted. What might be a quick change for ourselves to make will turn into an extended back and forth describing to another person what changes we would like them to make for us. The team are always happy to help, however this isn't always the most agile way to work. **What problems is Learning Pool - Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** Over 50 Career Pathway programmes guiding colleagues through every step of their career developnent. Extensive reporting dashboards which we're able to demonstrate through the Learning Locker platform as well as Power BI. Onboarding programmes with automated email campaigns using their Waves platform in combination with Learning Locker. The suite of systems working together gives us the ability to maintain a very large platform with minimal manual maintenance. We've had zero downtime since using Learning Pool and using their innovative systems and features we're able to create new and exciting ways to help our colleagues grow. ### 7. It enables us to ensure training is available at the right time and in the right place to the 15,000 current active users. Support now being available 24/7 is extremely beneficial given the flexibility of working patterns within our organisation – we average 688 learners per day over a 24 hour period. Due to the ease of using the LMS we can support our Subject Matter Experts to develop engaging courses for the learner. We recently carried out a feedback survey and 94% of learners indicated that they found the system easy to use and rated it, on average, 4 out of 5. **What do you dislike about Learning Pool - Platform?** It is a shame that with budget constraints we are not always able to fully utilise some good, snazzy features on the LMS due to additional charges. Unfortunately, over the last couple of years, we have experienced a lot of changes to our account manager which has resulted in us “retelling” our history a few times. This can result in a lack of communication to the customer, however, this is being actively attempted to rectify. **What problems is Learning Pool - Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** With such a diverse workforce and large geographical area, face to face learning always had it’s challenges. Online learning has been invaluable not only ensuring training is delivered at the right time, the cost/time saving has been huge (not to mention the reduction in our carbon footprint). During COVID our online learning was critical in that a large amount of employees were mobilised into the Health and Social Care Service and all had to complete a suite of 11 courses prior to taking up post to ensure they had the skills and knowledge required to work with vulnerable clients. In the absence of an LMS this would have been impossible in the short timeframe available. ### 8. The system has completely revolutionised how we record compliance training, which has had huge benefits for safety across the company as well as use in audit situations. As well as focusing on cross-company compliance training we have also used the content provided by Learning pool to focus on the culture we have among our employees. The fantastic Adapt has also enabled us to create our own bespoke content to apply to the business. The functionalities on this system allow for interactive and relevant content to be created and amended at any stage. Lastly one of the huge benefits has been the support team within Learning Pool who have been brilliant in resolving any queries or issues we have come across. **What do you dislike about Learning Pool - Platform?** It is difficult to dislike anything on the Learning Pool system due to just how easy and simple it has been to mould and use. Any complaints we have raised have been resolved via the support team, or have been changed through updates that Learning Pool have introduced to improve the system. **What problems is Learning Pool - Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** The largest problem it has resolved for us is the ability to easily record all of our compliance-based training regarding health and safety. This has been a huge asset especially as we are regularly audited as a manufacturing business. We have then been able to further develop this into creating on the job-based training courses which can be signed off to record competency levels for various on the job-based processes. We have then used this to create a dashboard for employee training levels, allowing shift managers to continue training their team and allocate the correct personnel to the role required. ### 11. We are able to offer seminar bookings (both face to face and virtual) as well eLearning content meaning we can cater to the vaied needs of our workforce. **What do you dislike about Learning Pool - Platform?** The one downside of the Learning Pool LMS is that it is so vast with so much potential that it does take time to fully learn the system from an administative point of view. The training on offer is via 'The Academy' which is an online training resource which does not always suit a person's preferred learning style. **Recommendations to others considering Learning Pool - Platform:** Learning Pool can be configured to reflect your organisation with regard to branding/name/etc. We have named our version 'ILEARN' and our site looks very bespoke to our organisation. Being a large organisation with over 3000 members of staff it is vital that we can provide mandatory training (GDPR, Cyber Security, etc) to a wide audience and Learning Pool have enabled us to do this. Another major challenge was the recent shift to 'virutal classroom training' due to Covid restrictions. The Learning Pool system has allowed us to overcome this challenge and still offer face to face trianing to our staff via the use of virtual learning. ### 14. With options to create your own content or purchase Learning Pool course catalogues, all bases are covered depending on requirements. As a multi-brand business the LMS also meets our requirements, ensuring each brand maintains its identity with our learners. Plenty of online resources and support is provided and when this fails to deliver, a quick connection with the Customer Services Team is simple and effective. Everyone at Learning Pool seems to care about the company and would recommend attending Learning Pool events, such as Learning Pool Live which provide great opportunities to network and learn new things. We have worked with several other LMS providers in the past and know from first hand experience that the post-sale support provided by Learning Pool is exceptional. We have total support and I can use this to call up or email a question and consult with a member of the team who is an expert and can answer my questions and suggest further options to achieve my goals. I have never had this before with any other competitor in this market. Also, the roadmap that Learning Pool has is truly based on the needs of the customer - they listen to what their customers needs and you can see that in their future plans. This means that the LMS solution is one you know you can grow with as an organization.
