It is also possible to recommend courses to be added to those available. Relevant quality courses do generally get accepted to be added. The support through online chat is generally prompt and helpful. **What do you dislike about Learnerbly?** Recommendations to add courses seem to sometimes fall through the cracks. On various occasions, there was no clear response for a lengthy period (sometimes weeks) on whether recommended courses were accepted or rejected. When escalating this to the online chat one would get referred to another email address from which however one rarely receives a reply. Sometimes a different course than the one requested was added by mistake. To be fair, most requests were accepted but only after a fair amount of chasing. There is a sense that these requests are not being tracked in a structured manner. Another annoyance is the way that the pricing for courses for which there are regular discounts, such as Udemy, is managed. Udemy has frequent discounts seeing their courses offered for around EUR 12 or so. However, the pricing for the same courses in Learnably would reflect non-discounted pricing, say EUR 70. This means that if you currently have, say, EUR 50 budget available and want to apply for a course currently on discount, you would require approval for exceeding the budget whereas, in reality, you wouldn't be exceeding the budget at all. Adding to the frustration, it might happen that by the time approval is granted the course is no longer on discount. A better way would be to get a more real-time check on the price and whether the budget is going to be exceeded and only enforce an approval in that case. To be fair, I appreciate that the technical implementation of this use case can be a bit tricky. **Recommendations to others considering Learnerbly:** It is a simple and effective mechanism to provide self-directed training for personnel. **What problems is Learnerbly solving and how is that benefiting you?** Learnerbly provides employers the means to provide training for employees with a set budget whilst allowing a degree of freedom on choice of training taken. For me I love the number of books on here (as I'm a big reader), but also have enhoyed access to The School of Life resources. **What do you dislike about Learnerbly?** My only dislike is that it's not very easy to search by topic and medium at the same time. For example, I'd like to look for management but only courses - the searchability element could be improved. **What problems is Learnerbly solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's solving the obstacle of having to ask for a) a budget to help you develop and b) the process of requesting what you'd like and having to talk it through with your manager. It's very easy to go on the platform, find what you want and request it straight away. The platform is easy to use. Customer support was good! The interface is simple and nice, and looks friendly too! **What do you dislike about Learnerbly?** Not dislike... just things to think about! 1) That my manager has to approve stuff. 2) For kindel books, it would be better if there was an instruction on how to better redeem the books - re-sent the email to your personal email and open the amazon link from there. 3) I'd like to have Grammarly subscription on the Learnerbly. 4) Free articles are strange. If they are free, I don't need Learnerbly for them. 5) I have spent all my Learnerbly allowance (£7 left the initial from £500) and yet Learnerbly sends me emails about what should I learn next - there is no point... I have no company money in my account. For further education I will pay with my own money, so I don't need Learnerbly for that = the emails don't work. But feel free to spam my manager saying my account can be refilled! I have used a couple from King around Data Science and Game Design. That not all the content is paid, having more free content would be great. **What do you dislike about Learnerbly?** Requesting new content doesn't create a ticket for following up on what happened with the suggestion. I'm in charge of the UX and UI craft in my team and I'm constantly suggesting stuff in Learnerbly but I have no way to see how that is going on, is it approved/rejected/in progress? it would be good to add that. You have removed a lot of content that previously it was in the platform, it would be great if you can fight for having it back. **What problems is Learnerbly solving and how is that benefiting you?** Previously requesting for learning budget was case to case, you have to create a business case why you need this specific class/course online or going to a conference or just buying a book. Company-specific learning resources also gives you the ability to learn together as teams. Varied resources - books, subscriptions to other learning resources, training courses, etc. means you can almost always find what you want, and it doesn't take too long to request something that's outside of learnerbly. **What do you dislike about Learnerbly?** The actual purchase process is not automated, so when you request a resource, it may take a variable amount of time to actually receive what you have requested - if you want something urgently (i.e. a kindle book) you may still be waiting a while from approval to receipt. I like the feature of being able to see what other people have bought. Aswell as having the option not to share if it is sensitive. I am quite impressed with the different topics to pick from. **What do you dislike about Learnerbly?** As great as the recommendations are there are a lot of hidden gems that I have only found out through colleagues that they bought the book and found it useful, but these have only been found by searching, rather than reccomendations. Also not sure where I can track my items, maybe this is in an email but it doesn't say once you have placed an order on the site. When searching for a book or course your engine brings back lots of recommendations for similar resources that may be more appropriate for my needs. **What do you dislike about Learnerbly?** The main issue I've encountered recently was down to a funding block from my company where they took time to top up the account balance. This meant that some colleagues placed orders pre-budget reset which were not resolved until after the budget was reset.
