What makes Leafpad great is that its simplicity, It only has the basic functionalities. we can take notes easily with Leafpad. There is nothing complicated about Leafpad Text Editor. What I really liked about it is its simplicity. While using Leafpad we get options like text wrap and line numbers, and also we get an Auto Intent option. It can be installed very easily, can edit any text files , opens really fast and there is an option to jump to a specific line number with a keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+J), which always comes in very useful. It lacks customisation options , like changing colours of background and the colours of the font. When I search for a word in Leafpad, it will highlight all the matching words , but the highlighted background will just stay there forever until we close and reopen the file.
