Any minor technical feature or data capability this tool has is completely overshadowed by a toxic, predatory business model. You cannot evaluate a software product purely on its code while ignoring the fact that its leadership has a proven track record of treating customers like disposable capital. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about LeadMagic? The absolute lack of ethics and the deceptive corporate loophole used by the leadership. The founder originally bootstrapped his previous software, Uptics and LeadEngine, using the Lifetime Deal (LTD) community for early cash flow, product validation, and data testing. Once the product was fully built off the backs of those early investors, they orchestrated a convenient "acquisition" to shut down the legacy platforms. This legally wiped out all lifetime user accounts, leaving early adopters completely stranded and locking up their data with zero real warning. Immediately after dropping those liabilities, the founder popped up as an executive here at LeadMagic. If you look at LeadMagic’s user workflows, landing pages, and UI/UX design, the DNA of the abandoned software is copy-pasted all over it. They essentially sunsetted their promises to early backers to launch a "new" brand flag in the exact same niche, completely free of lifetime users so they can maximize monthly recurring revenue. It is a wildly unprofessional and manipulative playbook. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is LeadMagic solving and how is that benefiting you? It solves nothing because using a tool run by people who operate this way is an active business liability. If a company's leadership is willing to use corporate restructuring as a legal shield to ghost the foundational user base that funded them, there is absolutely zero guarantee they won't pull the rug on their monthly subscribers the exact same way the moment a new exit or pivot opportunity shows up. We canceled in July and received a refund, but importantly, I had to confirm with support that the subscription was actually canceled because the process/status was not fully clear. Later we reactivated in August and used the product briefly. After that, we stopped using it (credits kept accumulating), and I clearly remember canceling again in September, but billing continued for several months. The cancellation flow is not transparent enough, and it’s too easy to stay subscribed without realizing it. Their Terms say “no refunds,” but their Help Center also says refund requests may be reviewed case-by-case, especially when credits were not used. I contacted support with billing and usage evidence and I’m still in correspondence, unfortunately, no refund has been processed yet. Maybe I’m old-fashioned, but charging customers for months when the product is clearly not being used doesn’t feel like a sustainable long-term strategy, it erodes trust. A clearer cancellation confirmation and a fairer “unused months” resolution would go a long way. I’m still hoping this gets resolved as a goodwill refund for the unused months, based on the account usage records. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about LeadMagic? I am extremely dissatisfied with LeadMagic due to several issues. Firstly, the setup process, while easy, was misleading. They claimed to offer 100 free credits, but these were never provided, even after contacting their support team. The promised credits did not materialize, and the support's response was ineffective. Furthermore, the primary service feature, intended to enrich data by providing phone numbers, was largely inaccurate. Out of 100 attempts, fewer than 15 were successful, and most of these were either incorrect or fake numbers. This inaccuracy rendered my subscription to LeadMagic a complete waste of time, money, and effort, as it failed to deliver on its core promise, impacting my business operations negatively. Overall, the operations of LeadMagic appear to be deceitful, to the extent that I strongly perceive it as a scam. I regret investing in their service and wish to warn others not to fall for the same trap. I remain completely unsatisfied with any aspect of the service provided by LeadMagic. Great enrichment product and reasonably priced Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about LeadMagic? After using the platform for a year and spending hundreds of dollars per month, they decided to remove 70k credits (more than $500 worth) from my account after accusing me of abusing their email finding api, saying that I was sending "fake names" to use it to find mx records of the domain. The fact is we target local businesses and was trying to find emails associated with their domain. Just for context, we use 2 other email finders BEFORE Lead Magic (we use icypeas and findymail) and have never had any issues with them even though we are sending them the same contacts to enrich. After following up multiple times for multiple days in a row to try to get on a call with their team to show them that I was in fact using their api for what it is supposed to be used for, I have received 0 responses from support. I would steer clear of their product, as a small business it's too risky to spend money on credits only to have them removed without question. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
