-Customization, if you have a group of programmers you can do a lot with the program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
-Requires a dedicated programmer(s) to support. Lawbase is not really an off-the-shelf type system you can hit the ground running. There's going a significant upfront investment of time, and money consulting with programmers to implement the features you wish to have.
-Very difficult to onboard new users. One of the features in the software are called "smartfolders." In theory these are fairly useful. Settiing up a new user's smartfolders requires editing scripts to include this or that smartfolder. Or go to the admin panel and do so there. Again if you have a dedicated programmer to handle, its probably doable. For a small, mid-sized firm. This becomes a burden on one or two "power users" in your firm.
-Difficult to add, integrate new services. For example we intergrated text through twilio. You can text the client, but if the client texts back, lawbase does not send you any kind of notification. The only way you can see if there is a response, is if you happen to be directly in that clients case file. Not very practical when you have 100's of active clients.
-Not sure if a mobile version exists.
-UI is not modern Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
LawBase is completely customizable, so you get exactly what you need and nothing more. I haven't found anything yet that it can not do for our law firm. Integrations with other software can be very robust as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really can not think of anything I dislike. When I have found that a modification would benefit our law firm it is almost always added to their enhancements list and handled as soon as possible depending on the complexity. They continue to grow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
