LangSmith is LangChain’s framework-agnostic agent platform. Teams use it to observe agent behavior, evaluate quality, deploy and govern agents in production, and improve them continuously from real production data. Key Features and Functionality: • Agent observability: LangSmith provides complete visibility into agent behavior. Teams can inspect traces and trajectories to debug failures, understand quality issues, and turn examples of good or bad behavior into evaluation datasets. • Agent evaluation: LangSmith helps measure and improve agent quality before and after shipping into production. Teams can test changes against curated examples, monitor production traces, and incorporate expert feedback when human judgment matters. • Agent deployment: LangSmith Deployment provides the managed infrastructure required to run agents in production and at scale. It's built for long-running, stateful agents, with the controls organizations need to deploy, manage, and govern mission-critical agent systems. • Proactive agent engineering: LangSmith Engine works from production traces to surface issues, write fixes, and red-team your agent proactively. It also monitors production traces for regressions. • No code agents: LangSmith Fleet lets non-technical teams build agents by describing what they need in chat. Fleet builds the agent, learns from feedback, and asks permission before taking sensitive actions. Primary Value and Problem Solving: LangSmith helps teams accelerate the agent development lifecycle (build, test, deploy, and monitor) to improve agents continually. Teams use LangSmith to trace agent runs in production, run evals before shipping changes, and track cost, latency, and quality over time. LangSmith Engine adds a proactive layer on top of observability that enables teams to increase product velocity by finding and fixing agent failures. It uses production traces to surface recurring issues, suggest fixes, red-team agents, and monitor for regressions 24/7. LangSmith also provides infrastructure for deploying and managing long-running and autonomous agents in production. Deployment handles the runtime for durable execution, human-in-the-loop approvals, and multi-agent coordination. Fleet is a no-code interface that lets non-technical teams build and run agents for specialized workflows.
