Shopify tracks every unit in and out, perfectly. What it does not track is what any of it cost you. That number ends up in a spreadsheet, or in the Cost per item field you typed once and have not touched since. Landara holds the cost side. Connect your store, and every receipt of stock becomes a dated FIFO cost layer. Every order draws down the oldest layer first, so your cost of goods sold is built from what those specific units actually cost, not from an average that lost the detail. If you import, upload the freight invoice and the customs bill. Landara extracts them, allocates the charges across the shipment, and lands them into the unit cost before the layer forms. Customs duty capitalises. Recoverable import tax never does. At month end you get a journal your bookkeeper can post to Xero or QuickBooks Online, and an inventory value that reconciles.
