Lago is open-source billing infrastructure built for usage-based and hybrid pricing models. It handles metering, subscription management, invoicing, and revenue operations for companies whose pricing does not fit a simple seat-based model, including AI, infrastructure, fintech, and API-first businesses. Engineering teams choose Lago because they can see and modify the code that runs their billing. There is no black box between an event and an invoice. Lago supports complex billing logic including tiered and graduated pricing, prepaid credits, wallets, custom billable metrics, and multi-currency invoicing, and it integrates with the payment, CRM, and data tools teams already use. Lago is available as a managed cloud service or self-hosted, so teams can choose the deployment model that fits their security and compliance requirements.
