LabVIEW is a graphical development environment that greatly simplifies common problems faced by scientists and engineers. What problems is LabVIEW solving and how is that benefiting you?

mainly for monitoring system, structural health monitoring systems but one of the project also was about an equi-biaxial test for rubber/elastomer. To bring in the biaxial tension state in the material, I want to inflate a membran with air pressure so it will strech in the shape of a balloon. For this experimental test set-up, there should be some different test modes available for the user, such as a single-mode test or a long-term test (creep test). Futhermore it should be possible for the user to decide whether the test has to be pressure controlled or strain controlled. So the programm should look like this: Choose the test mode by clicking on the button (single-test/long-term test), then choose the control parameter (pressure/strain) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about LabVIEW?

I use LABVIEW to demonstrate the interfacing of the gyroscope, accelerometer, and microcontroller to show the axis of rotations. using Labview GUI I prepare a visual display for the stabilization of the three dimensions platform. Labview support is very good and I get a lot of help from the experienced professional while I was stuck. Anyone who is looking to use LabVIEW for his engineering problem, I will definitely recommend it and it the industry problem-solving software.LABVIEW can be used in today's engineering problem and refined solutions can be prepared and concepts can be transformed into the visualization then implementation easily.

Labview has an easy setup interface that is easy to start any project and to understand it quickly and most important to remember the detail for next time continuity from the same area.

it seems to offer a nice graphic alternative to traditional text-based programming. it's not a just-virtualization/data acquisition programming language. It seems to have that paradigm pegged to its creator's name.I HOPE LABVIEW TEAM WILL ALWAYS WORK TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE SOFTWARE Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about LabVIEW?

To put it succinctly, it feels easy and confidence enhancing to start to control instruments connected to your computer in short time.

Some good features that I have appreciated are the programming structure which you can identify with regular programming languages, Mathscript, RT modules, Error clustering, Asynchronous call of VIs, and others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LabVIEW?

While debugging is one use case where the application of LabView styles help, it can at the same time become a put-off, if the dashboard use case has complicated control setup, with many VIs /sub-VIs and functions and nested loops, and particularly inherited functions. Recommendations to others considering LabVIEW:

I would recommend it, it is comparatively the most intuitive approach one can have to manage instruments and control them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is LabVIEW solving and how is that benefiting you?

Answering the second question first, it made life comparatively more straightforward through accessing readily available VIs for popular instruments which otherwise using more traditional ways of controlling the instruments would have had gotten time consuming.

The style of graphical programming intuitively helps error and trial programming idea.

To the first question, had used LabView across needs like collecting data from various types of sensors, instruments, analyzing data in real-time (with limitations of buffer overflow), devising PID control for stepper motors to control gas valves and other needs. What do you like best about LabVIEW?

The visual nature makes it very simple to follow the logic of an application. There is a very large range of plugins that make Labview compatible with almost anything out there Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LabVIEW?

There is an important limitation with platforms and cost when compared with alternatives like Python. Access to SBC is limited to home use although platforms like the RPi are ideal and it works quite well on it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering LabVIEW:

If time to application is important then Labview is the way to go. It is also particularly good for people with visual memory as the flows are easy to follow and debug.

It is also possible to get very tight control of the timing using Real-time and FPGA. The latter is incredibly easy to implement in Labview and outstandingly powerful.

Make sure you build a strong base if starting from scratch and then the sky is the limit! Make sure you explore the capabilities of FPGA is timming is important for the application. I was able to work reliably in realtime with sub ns resolution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is LabVIEW solving and how is that benefiting you?

Mostly use it for test benches and it is amazing how quickly I can get a prototype going. Likewise, it allows me to dig deeper and develop complex applications with several IO and complete control on timing.

Accessing real-time processing of sub ns signals using the FPGA cards was unexpectedly simple and the documentation for training available at the time was excellent and allowed me to learn it by myself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about LabVIEW?

It is an interactive program with an execution system designed for people, like scientists and engineers, who require to program as part of their jobs.It is not complex for first learners and the basic functions are already available for use. I have used Labview at the University of Debrecen as part of my fundamental courses in order to obtain my degree in Electrical Engineering. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LabVIEW?

You can do things like basic SQL ,however for work to take a data structure from LabVIEW and get it into a database It does not do binding. It does fine inserting data into a database, but using the data, or manipulating it, is challenging. There’s less opportunity to utilize open source libraries. Recommendations to others considering LabVIEW:

I highly recommend using Labview for any persom interested in Knowing a new type of programming language, or as they call it (G language). I especially recommend it for Electrical Engineering students due to its highly beneficial use and broad usage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Control a DC Motor With LabVIEW.The project was tested with an engine that had a rated current of 4A and transistors temperature that is not higher than 30 degrees.
