## Labbit Reviews
 ### 1. Flexible Graph Database Architecture with Fast Implementation and Great Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hannah L. | Director of Product & Business Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Labbit?**

Their graph database architecture was especially appealing because it gave us the flexibility to build a highly customized integration that could adapt as our needs evolved.

Their team was wonderful throughout the process -- responsive, collaborative, creative, and consistently available when we needed support. They gave us the autonomy to build what we wanted while providing guidance whenever we asked for it.

The implementation speed was also a major advantage. We were fully up and running in user acceptance testing within five months. We handled the engineering work in-house and relied on their team primarily for consulting and implementation support, which speaks to how approachable and easy their architecture is to build against.

**What do you dislike about Labbit?**

Their UX isn’t the best, and there are a few limitations that make the lab tech experience feel a bit clunky. That said, with some fine-tuning and a few feature requests, I think we’ll be able to address most of what we didn’t like.

**What problems is Labbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They’re currently helping us move from our spreadsheet-based LIMS system to a consistent, user-friendly, auditable laboratory information management system. As a result, our techs can work faster with fewer data-entry errors, and we’re able to scale our operations much more quickly and smoothly because we have Labbit.

 ### 2. Best for labs that have strict, unchanging workflows but not ideal for research & development

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Labbit?**

Usually the support team responds quickly, but I'm not sure if they are available during all of our working hours or only work PST business hours. Works okay for a single workflow that doesn't change often or at all.

**What do you dislike about Labbit?**

The system seems inflexible for Research or laboratories that change workflows, projects, instruments, or reagents even once a year. The system cannot accurately track volume used or volume remaining, and doesn't have functionality for storage tracking. There also seem to be a lot of bugs and it doesn't seem like the support team and coding engineers understand the needs of laboratories to the extent desired. Some requests are misunderstood and changes are deployed that do not resolve the initial issue, but can create more. The company should focus more on providing a fully functioning product, rather than use timeframes to determine roll-outs and deployments. If a product continues to not function, then they shouldn't say "the time you paid for completes on xxx date" but they should focus on functionality goals instead. The workflows aren't always intuitive and some steps are repetitive/redundant, where it would be ideal to remove some unneeded intermediate sorting workbooks. Cannot edit, re-open, or copy completed workbooks.

**What problems is Labbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Labbit is supposed to track our work in real-time but it hasn't proven to provide this benefit yet.

 ### 3. Custome Molecular Workflow Documentation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francisco C. | Director of the Graham Genomics Lab, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Labbit?**

I like that it reduces that chance that I will enter items incorrectly. I like that if is designed for our workflow.

**What do you dislike about Labbit?**

There are some times where I would like to adjust the input but I can not. For example If I accession a reagent lot into the wrong categories. I can not go back and enter that lot into the correct categories. It is good that it does not allow for the same lot number in different categories. But I need to be able to correct my mistake.

**What problems is Labbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our current system is using excel. This works very well for us but has limitations as for quality control. Labbit allows us to better document what we are doing.

 ### 4. Labbit will be helpful, but could do more for our applications.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Labbit?**

Labbit has some great features, like the way the filters easily sort through and display information. It is very user friendly. It seems like it will catch errors that would possibly have happened through human error. It replaces many different spreadsheets to navigate and has everything in one location. Customer support has been great, and always willing to help us.

**What do you dislike about Labbit?**

What Labbit doesn't have that we would like to see is the concept of an "active worksheet." Typically, we do not handle samples in a single vertical column wise format. Samples are processed individually, in batches of 8, and 96, typically. We like to have something to visualize where samples are in real life, so that is in a single tube or individual tubes, a strip tube (8 tubes attached to one another) or a 96 well plate. It is much easier to visualize the location and movement of samples when they are mapped out in a "plate-wise" format. Something that I would love to see is the addition of a plate map or strip tube map formatting, to make the visualization of samples from one step to the next more realistic and digestible.

**What problems is Labbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Replacing multiple spreadsheets and having a centralized location for sample information.

 ### 5. Labbit for NGS core facility

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Labbit?**

Development experience/implementation has been good. Has many of the features my lab needs ready out of the box. The system is fast no matter how many samples/plates/etc you process at a time.

**What do you dislike about Labbit?**

Customer interface needs more polish. I wish the steps in a workflow were layed out a little differently to make the flow/progress of a project more obvious.

**What problems is Labbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I run a service lab that processes samples through many workflows and returns data to the customer. Labbit is solving the customer interface and enabling my team to track sample progress and all their QC and related metadata directly in one system rather than Sharepoint folders, excels, and often cryptically named instrument outputs.

 ### 6. Independent reviewer role as Software Quality Assurance

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Labbit?**

A decent UI, easy to navigate. Easy to deploy and integrate with 3rd party applications.

**What do you dislike about Labbit?**

Possibly fit more panels on the UI? Dashboard could be better

**What problems is Labbit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LIMS has been able to automate our lab process end to end
