## About L7|ESP
L7|ESP™ is a unified data orchestration platform purpose-built to accelerate digital transformation in life sciences and healthcare by streamlining data, processes, and compliance across the value chain. Combining business orchestration and automation platform technologies with a composable architecture and single data fabric, L7|ESP reduces operational overhead while enabling teams to move faster—from Research and Process Development to Clinical Testing, Manufacturing, Quality Control, and Diagnostics. While the platform connects with existing point solutions, L7|ESP includes pre-built applications such as LIMS, ELN, MES, SCHEDULING, Sample Management, Inventory, Electronic Batch Records (EBR), Dashboards, Environmental Monitoring (EM), Stability Testing and more. These apps work seamlessly together, enabling context-rich AI-READY data capture and end-to-end traceability. L7|ESP comes equipped with pre-built connectors to lab instruments, bioprocess equipment, AI/ML tools, analytics platforms, and enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, EMR), enabling closed-loop execution from sample to system. The core L7|ESP operating platform includes: L7|MASTER: A low-code/no-code toolkit for building data models and workflows (experiments, methods, orchestrations, etc.). L7|HUB: A content store for sharing models, workflows, and connectors across ESP instances. L7|INTELLIGENCE: A structured API layer to extract data and build data products or warehouses with full backward compatibility. Whether creating a lab of the future, harmonizing global CMC operations, or modernizing manufacturing and quality control, L7|ESP delivers contextualized data and process orchestration at the point of execution—laying the foundation for scalable innovation, compliance, and AI readiness.

## L7|ESP Reviews
  ### 1. Compliant & Adaptable!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adrianne B. | Hospital Corpsman, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2023

**What do you like best about L7|ESP?**

What can I say! This is a great FDA compliant platform. The platform, itself, combines some great and more known apps that are used company operations. Also, this is such a great platform to connect external devices from bar code printers to lab instruments. I like that the platform is constantly adapting to this ever-changing world that we live in and able to be so flexible.

**What do you dislike about L7|ESP?**

The downfall to the platform is that it is still in an introductory phase, meaning, it is not as popular as other platforms and isn't used by most businesses because it is slow to adopt different apps that companies are finding a need for. I know this company can be great they just need to be slighty quicker in adapting.

**What problems is L7|ESP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This platform is making collecting, analyzing and organizing lab results. It allows a great platform to maintain lab inventory and data management. It has definitely make life easier.

  ### 2. Good System for Tracking Samples and Reagents

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeremy C. | Bioinformatician, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2023

**What do you like best about L7|ESP?**

It makes reagent tracking a lot easier. At one point we had to make a table of all reagents used for a specific process over the course of two years, and we were able to do that, because that had been tracked in ESP.

The reports system is also helpful for being able to quickly find specific information, and the example reports shipped with ESP are very helpful for understanding how they work and developing ones specific to our own needs.

In general, once the workflows are setup, they are easy to use and incredibly helpful for recording information for lab procedures and experiments.

**What do you dislike about L7|ESP?**

Documentation when we first started working with L7 was not good but has since improved considerably.

Releases occasionally have odd bugs.

**What problems is L7|ESP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use ESP as our LIMS system. As a CLIA compliant lab, there's a lot of information that we have to track, and we've been using ESP to do that.

  ### 3. Flexible & Adaptable

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2023

**What do you like best about L7|ESP?**

Working team was enjoyable and flexible. The L7 team wanted to learn more about our business area and its impact. They worked to understand our needs and were responsive to questions. The team was open to shifting working methods to accommodate different team members and ensure an in-depth understanding of their platform. They regularly sought feedback on the process and the documentation/training that was available.

The ability to build within L7 and not need strong or any development experience. Once a foundation was constructed by L7 and internal dev teams, I could quickly put together my chains, workflows, etc. to support continuing and evolving business needs without having to take up the time of an engineer. The L7 team not only handed us the tools to build within their system, but spent the time to teach us the nuance within that system.

**What do you dislike about L7|ESP?**

Some disruption due to internal L7 changes and changing team members meant lost time and lost requirements. There was a lack of transparency on what was occurring sprint to sprint that made communicating progress difficult to internal stakeholders against initial requirements.

For non-developers or newer developers, working through what was ESP schema vs. Python caused a steep learning curve. Performance issues have forced users to change how they operate to accommodate the system, and enhancements/fixes have been a long time coming (release delays to the core system).

Communication has been more limited post-deployment, but that may tie into the fact that we've focused on internal development rather than continuing co-development on current projects.

**What problems is L7|ESP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our company was looking for a way to streamline and standardize our operations team’s workflow steps in a way that was available and visual to all stakeholders/impacted parties and allowed for data connectivity with other software. We were looking to kill off spreadsheets that lived on various local drives and were susceptible to error and loss.

  ### 4. Assistant Director, Genomics, 23 years of experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2021

**What do you like best about L7|ESP?**

The flexibility of the ESP system to be customized and connected with other softwares and systems.

**What do you dislike about L7|ESP?**

The effort and time associated with custom builds and implementation. With that said, I don't believe this is avoidable in any situation.

**Recommendations to others considering L7|ESP:**

From my experiences, the L7/ESP platform provides the flexibility needed for managing various laboratories, technologies, and workflows in the genomics and proteomics spaces. As a fee-for-service academic core facility, we require a LIMS/management system for both industry-standard and highly customized workflows and technologies. L7/ESP has been a robust solution.

**What problems is L7|ESP solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ESP platform is replacing our two old legacy LIMS programs. A major benefit is the L7 provides the code and training for our own programmers.
