## About Kyvos Semantic Layer
Kyvos is a semantic layer for AI and BI. It gives organizations a single, consistent, business-friendly view of their entire data estate. By standardizing how data is defined and understood, Kyvos eliminates metric drift across BI tools and ensures that LLMs and AI agents work with governed business semantics rather than raw tables. Kyvos also delivers lightning-fast analytics at massive scale and high concurrency — including granular multidimensional analysis on the cloud — without the sluggish query times and escalating cloud costs that typically come with it. Why Organizations Use Kyvos Unified Semantic Foundation for AI and BI Kyvos semantic layer standardizes how metrics, KPIs, dimensions, hierarchies, relationships, calculations, and business rules are modelled across the enterprise — so that dashboards, analytics tools, notebooks, and AI systems all operate on the same understanding of the business. Kyvos enables: - Shared semantics — one common data language across every tool, team, and system - Governed access — data exploration within defined security, role, and permission boundaries - Platform interoperability — consistent semantic context across diverse platforms and environments - AI readiness — LLMs and agents work with governed business semantics rather than raw tables or ambiguous schema AI Grounded in Business Context Kyvos grounds AI systems in the governed semantic model, ensuring they operate on established business context rather than raw schemas — improving the accuracy, traceability, and reliability of AI-generated insights. Consistent Metrics Across BI Tools Kyvos centralizes metric and KPI definitions in the semantic layer and applies them consistently across every analytics interface — eliminating metric drift and improving trust in analytics. High-Performance Analytics at Scale Kyvos delivers high-performance analytics that scale with demand, enabling: - Sub-second query performance across massive datasets - High concurrency across thousands of users and workloads - Consistent response times regardless of data volume or concurrency - No performance degradation as adoption grows - Multidimensional Analytics on the Cloud Kyvos enables deep multidimensional analytics, supporting: - Granular analysis across billions of rows - Thousands of measures and dimensions in a single model - Fast drill-down across complex hierarchies - Full analytical depth without sacrificing query speed Cloud Cost Efficiency Kyvos serves analytics through its semantic layer rather than routing every query to the warehouse — reducing compute consumption across analytics and AI workloads. As adoption grows, organizations can scale users, workloads, and analytical complexity without a corresponding rise in warehouse compute costs.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aman R. | Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

Kyvos is great tool for semantic analytics, it integrates with both cloud and on-premise environments.
It's performance and speed have been huge help — reports that used to take several minutes now load in seconds, even when pulling from huge datasets. I no longer have to create extracts or build custom summary tables just to speed things up. That alone has saved a ton of time.

Another major plus is the consistency it brings. Metrics are defined once and used across tools and teams, which has drastically cut down on the number of “why don’t my numbers match yours?” conversations. It’s a huge relief to have that alignment, especially in meetings where everyone is looking at different tools.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

That said, there was a bit of a learning curve when it came to advanced filtering and cube design. It’s not completely intuitive at first, and I had to spend some time figuring out the flow. But once you understand how it works, it’s pretty smooth and powerful.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kyvos has really helped us move from slow, fragmented reporting to a faster, more unified experience. Dashboards are quick, metrics are trusted, and we spend more time analyzing instead of troubleshooting.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

The product is functioning well; I don’t think there’re any significant problems worth mentioning.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our fraud checks were constrained by simple queries on limited data. Kyvos allowed us to analyze as much data as we need, which helped us to flag anomalies earlier, reduce false positives and strengthen fraud prevention across the board.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

Till date we have not encountered any major issues. Looking forward to explore more capabilities of the product.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kyvos understands business language terms and allows us to get insights from as much data as we want, using natural language queries.

I like Kyvos because when I fix or change something in how data is set up, everyone sees the same thing right away, in any tool. I don’t need to send files or explain changes many times.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

Nothing to complain about the product so far. It works well for whatever I need to make my work easier.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kyvos makes it much easier for me because when I add a new rule or fix something, all the reports and dashboards use it right away. I don’t have to double-check numbers or answer lots of questions from other teams anymore. Everyone always sees the same numbers, which saves my time and keeps things simple for me and my team.

  ### 10. Kyvos lets us connect multiple BI tools to a single source of truth

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** priyanka s. | Senior Quality Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

With Kyvos, we don't need to make stack changes to get faster data access and insights. Whether someone is using Tableau, Power BI or Excel, they’re working off the same definitions and calculations. It keeps our numbers consistent across the board.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

I found no issues. The availability of in-app guides and quick-start templates makes onboarding new team members and handing off projects between teams smoother and more efficient.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like how flexible the role-based access controls are. Permissions can be applied once at the semantic layer and they automatically flow down to every connected BI tool. That saves us from duplicating effort or worrying about accidental data exposure.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

So far, I have no complaints. The setup and onboarding process went smoothly, and any questions we had were promptly addressed by the support team.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We spent too much time validating reports and making sure people weren’t using outdated metrics. Kyvos centralized our business logic which has reduced manual oversight and given us more confidence during audits and compliance reviews.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

There’s nothing major that I’d count as a drawback. If anything, I’d love to see a mobile app or lighter interface for quick checks during meetings. But performance and data access have been spot-on so far.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to wait days for customer health reports. Now, Kyvos gives us instant access to the same insights. That’s helped us be more proactive with support and tailor our engagement better.

  ### 33. Get all campaign metrics in one place

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abhishek S. | Director of Engineering, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

Kyvos helps me track marketing metrics across all regions. I can slice campaigns by channel, region and see results instantly. The consistency in numbers across tools like Excel and Power BI is a big plus for us.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

So far, everything has worked well for us. The interface is familiar, our teams quickly started using it after deployment.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to rely heavily on IT to extract and merge campaign data from different systems. With Kyvos, that’s no longer needed. I can dig into performance on my own and make quick adjustments mid-campaign.

  ### 34. Connects to all our data sources and handles massive data with ease

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

Kyvos makes it incredibly easy to connect to virtually any data source. I only need to define the business logic once, and it becomes accessible across all teams and tools. This eliminates the need to duplicate logic in different platforms, which not only saves time but also ensures consistency. Additionally, Kyvos delivers exceptional performance — even with massive datasets, we get answers almost instantly. That level of speed and scalability has been a game-changer for our analytics workflows.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

While Kyvos works very well, I think it could benefit from more pre-built templates or quick-start configurations for common data scenarios. These would help accelerate setup and reduce the initial learning curve, especially for new users or teams implementing similar data models repeatedly.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Kyvos, our data was spread across multiple platforms, and each BI tool required its own data setup. That led to duplicated efforts and inconsistent reporting. Kyvos helped us centralize all our data and deliver a single, consistent semantic layer to all our BI tools. This has significantly reduced development effort, improved data accuracy, and minimized maintenance overhead. We're now spending more time analyzing data and less time managing infrastructure.

  ### 35. One place to control who sees what

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prateek J. | Module Lead Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

Kyvos makes it really simple to decide who can see each piece of data. I don’t worry about people accessing stuff they shouldn’t. With just a few clicks, I set up permissions and know that our rules are followed.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

Setting up the rules at first takes some time, especially if the team is big. After that, changing things is quick and easy.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We manage all user access from one place, so no need to repeat work in different tools.
Roles and permissions are clear.
Audits are easier because permissions and changes are tracked good.

  ### 36. The best way to get more out of Tableau

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manish A. | Technical Project Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

It’s capable of querying billions of records in a matter of seconds without relying on any external platforms. We primarily use Tableau and Kyvos connects with it seamlessly.

  ### 37. Centralized, governed insights at scale without compromising speed

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deepak B. | Senior Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

Kyvos gives us a single, governed layer over all our data, even if it lives in different places. All business teams can access data without risking inconsistencies or duplicated logic. The performance has held strong even as our user base and data size have grown.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

Kyvos has done what we needed it to. It’s helped us keep data accessible, secure and unified. We didn’t need to restructure or rip out our existing systems to accommodate Kyvos.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were juggling multiple tools, duplicate metrics and a heavy reliance on IT for reporting. Now, every team is aligned on the same business definitions and same metrics. This has helped us make faster decisions.

  ### 38. Kept our stack intact while expanding access across teams and tools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kulamani M. | Senior Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

I like that we didn’t have to rip and replace anything. Kyvos sits on top of our existing systems and just works. It supports all our BI tools and performance stayed consistent even as more users came on board.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

The platform is solid. Only one time I had to connect with their support team at my initial phase and after that I never had any interaction with them for their services related issues.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a way to serve analytics across multiple teams and tools without duplicating logic or moving data around. Kyvos gave us a single model that works across departments. It’s made data governance easier too, since all the calculations and access rules sit in one place.

Kyvos has replaced the need for static product reports. Now I can explore product adoption trends on my own and feed those insights directly into roadmap discussions. It’s shortened our feedback loops.

  ### 40. Smooth deployment, minimal support load

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ankur S. | Senior Quality Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

Deployment was straightforward, and once it was up, there wasn’t much maintenance needed. It integrates well with our cloud stack and doesn't put load on our source systems during analysis.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

The UI favors simplicity over heavy customization, which works well for our needs.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wanted a tool that can help us make decisions faster and that didn’t need constant hand-holding. Kyvos delivered. It handles growing user traffic without lag and my team doesn’t have to jump in every time someone wants new metrics or dashboards.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

Minor tweaks in reporting templates at first, but support helped quickly.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to spend days consolidating and reconciling spreadsheets which delayed planning cycles and often introduced errors. Kyvos brought all our financial data into one trusted place, and everyone is working off the same definitions. That has not only reduced errors but also shortened our planning cycles significantly.

  ### 43. Fast access to product KPIs across the board
