## About Kyvos Semantic Layer
Kyvos is a semantic layer for AI and BI. It gives organizations a single, consistent, business-friendly view of their entire data estate. By standardizing how data is defined and understood, Kyvos eliminates metric drift across BI tools and ensures that LLMs and AI agents work with governed business semantics rather than raw tables. Kyvos also delivers lightning-fast analytics at massive scale and high concurrency — including granular multidimensional analysis on the cloud — without the sluggish query times and escalating cloud costs that typically come with it. Why Organizations Use Kyvos Unified Semantic Foundation for AI and BI Kyvos semantic layer standardizes how metrics, KPIs, dimensions, hierarchies, relationships, calculations, and business rules are modelled across the enterprise — so that dashboards, analytics tools, notebooks, and AI systems all operate on the same understanding of the business. Kyvos enables: - Shared semantics — one common data language across every tool, team, and system - Governed access — data exploration within defined security, role, and permission boundaries - Platform interoperability — consistent semantic context across diverse platforms and environments - AI readiness — LLMs and agents work with governed business semantics rather than raw tables or ambiguous schema AI Grounded in Business Context Kyvos grounds AI systems in the governed semantic model, ensuring they operate on established business context rather than raw schemas — improving the accuracy, traceability, and reliability of AI-generated insights. Consistent Metrics Across BI Tools Kyvos centralizes metric and KPI definitions in the semantic layer and applies them consistently across every analytics interface — eliminating metric drift and improving trust in analytics. High-Performance Analytics at Scale Kyvos delivers high-performance analytics that scale with demand, enabling: - Sub-second query performance across massive datasets - High concurrency across thousands of users and workloads - Consistent response times regardless of data volume or concurrency - No performance degradation as adoption grows - Multidimensional Analytics on the Cloud Kyvos enables deep multidimensional analytics, supporting: - Granular analysis across billions of rows - Thousands of measures and dimensions in a single model - Fast drill-down across complex hierarchies - Full analytical depth without sacrificing query speed Cloud Cost Efficiency Kyvos serves analytics through its semantic layer rather than routing every query to the warehouse — reducing compute consumption across analytics and AI workloads. As adoption grows, organizations can scale users, workloads, and analytical complexity without a corresponding rise in warehouse compute costs.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hrishabh G. | Sr. Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

The thing I like most about Kyvos Insights is how easy it is to create semantic models. The fast data modeling feature stands out; we just enter the table name, and it makes the semantic model for us.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

One thing we want Kyvos to make better is to cut down on advanced properties. There are a lot of advanced properties to choose from, and this can sometimes confuse users about which property they should pick for different situations.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kyvos lets me look at billions of rows . Its adaptable semantic model is a big plus, as it allows us to change the summary function even if it doesn't match up with how we first designed the semantic model.

  ### 44. Kyvos solved most of our complex use cases

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vipul D. | UI-UX Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

What really stands out about Kyvos for us is its innovative, future-ready capabilities. It’s not just addressing today’s analytics needs but also prepares businesses to handle tomorrow’s data demands just as effectively.
Kyvos is the only product we’ve found that can handle our most complex use cases.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

Kyvos meets most of our needs, but it does miss a few legacy features like workflow management.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The performance we’re getting on large amounts of data is incredible, no matter which BI tool we use. What’s even better is that Kyvos offers in-depth support to fine-tune the system, so we can meet all kinds of specific requirements. With Kyvos, data management and governance has also become much simpler due to automated workflows.

  ### 45. Kyvos Makes Data Analysis Easy and Fast

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

My experience as a user has been really smooth and I love the tech behind it, especially OLAP and OLTP. The cube-building part is particularly impressive. It makes working with large data so much easier and quicker.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

There’s nothing major to dislike. One area that could improve is the connectivity with other tools which can be faster.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Kyvos, exploring data from multiple angles was challenging and time-consuming. Kyvos’ cube technology has made it super simple for us to look at data from different perspectives. Visualizing data is a breeze now. I’ve also tested the product myself and I can say it really delivers what it promises.

  ### 46. Streamlining Data Analysis with Intuitive Tools and Reliable Expertise

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Siddhartha T. | Senior Technology Leader & Strategist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

What I like best about Kyvos Insights is how quickly we were able to dive into analyzing both historical and current data.
The platform's intuitive design allowed our business users to leverage both the Kyvos UI and the tools they are already most familiar with to explore Kyvos-built cubes with minimal training. Throughout the process, the Kyvos team demonstrated incredible support and guidance.
Their technological expertise and domain knowledge were clear at every stage, ensuring we had everything we needed to succeed.
Kyvos has empowered us to make data-driven decisions with ease

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

One area we’d like to see Kyvos continue to enhance is the intuitiveness of certain advanced functionalities.
The team’s commitment to regular updates and user-driven improvements is evident, and it’s clear they’re focused on making the platform even more user-friendly.
These minor aspects don’t take away from the overall power and efficiency that Kyvos delivers in data analysis.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kyvos has made it much easier for us to tap into our historical data after struggling with other tools for years.
Now, we can sift through massive amounts of data in seconds, which helps us stay on top of our key metrics every day.

  ### 47. Analytics powered by Gen AI - Kyos (Best tool on analytics on massive amount of data )

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chandrika V. | Senior system Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2024

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

The ability of Kyvos to analyse massive amounts of data without performance degradation. Given the data size we have today, it is difficult for our BI tools to :
•	analyse the data
•	one single source of truth is missing as we use multiple BI tools.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

Qlik is one of the tools that we use in our organisation currently. We realized that Qlik doesn't allow Kyvos to connect with it and help with analysis. We plan to move all our Qlik reports to a different tool and that is where I believe Kyvos can fit in as well.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a single source of truth now across different users from different geographies using the BI tool of their choice. This has helped us make business-critical decisions faster and we can rely on it without any discrepancies.
It saves us a lot of time and effort which was a challenge.

  ### 48. Makes our data AI-ready

We can utilize all our data for our AI apps.

  ### 49. Kyvos works for us as a powerful addition to our stack

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** adarsh t. | software developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

The speed is remarkable. With Kyvos, we are able to handle complex analysis much faster. It’s easy to drill down from broad summaries to tiny details.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

While Kyvos offers powerful reporting capabilities, customizing certain dashboards can sometimes take training and time. Better resources to help with this will be a good addition.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Instead of going through the headache of replacing our existing systems as most vendors suggest, it fits right into our current setup and works effectively with our BI platform and data warehouse. With Kyvos, we get quick responses to our queries, our processes have become a lot smoother and we have saved so much time and money after deploying it.

  ### 50. Perfect semantic layer solution for us

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nikunj K. | Regional Manager Sales, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

Kyvos is the right semantic layer choice for us, because Kyvos gives us all what we need - the advanced hierarchies (parent child, alternate hierarchies, custom roll ups, etc), good integration with Excel, ability to scale horizontally, ability to address all data security requirements, and more importantly ease of use and agility.
Kyvos team is very supportive. The product also evolves fast, they are mindful of customer needs and incorporate our feedback into their roadmap.

**What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?**

It is not easy to find any Kyvos community online, it will be good to have a community connect.

**What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We chose Kyvos many years back when our erstwhile tool had become very difficult to manage for various reasons - huge cubes, large build times, unacceptable shutdown/ bring up times. Kyvos has been helping us strategically in all the 3 areas that are important for us - speed, simplicity and agility.
