The best thing about Kubestone is benchmarking and performance testing. It provides a way to evaluate the performance characteristics of Kubernetes clusters by leveraging common benchmarks as CRDs (Custom Resource Definitions). Hence I don't need to really on others to manage the resources it does for me automatically.
By pushing the cluster to its limits, Kubestone can provide insights into how the cluster scales and at what point performance degrades, which is invaluable for capacity planning. It helps me with good visualization also.
Over time, and with multiple runs, organizations can compare performance results to gauge improvements or degradations, helping in regression analysis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I feel is, that Kubestone focuses on a few specific benchmarking tools like FIO, Iperf3, and Sysbench. While these tools are comprehensive, they might not cover all the specific benchmarking needs of every organization or use case.
Although it is Kubernetes-native, setting up Kubestone and understanding the results requires a good grasp of Kubernetes concepts. Misconfiguration can skew results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
