I don't like to switch between softwares and with Koyfin I rarely have to do so. All the features and data are organized and designed in a pretty and effective may making it very nice and easy to use. I use it almost every day and if I would have to choose one software, it would be Koyfin. **What do you dislike about Koyfin?** There is only one thing I dont like and this is that if you're searching a metric in the charts section, you have to be very precise otherwise Koyfin doesn't show what you're looking for. I used the free version for several years and was incredibly impressed with the amount of information Koyfin provided to free users. I finally upgraded to the Pro subscription, and it just got better from there. If you're a deep equity researcher that doesn't want to break the bank, this tool is perfect. In addition, the folks at Koyfin are constantly improving on the software. **What do you dislike about Koyfin?** Koyfin is starting to get deeper into the advisor market, but they are a little behind. I have used almost every platform out there and find this one to have the most features and data for the money. I subscribe to the Pro package. For portfolio management and analysis, I love that I can chart up to 30 years of key financial ratios and indicators on a chart to see thinks like how current PE compares to the past for a given stock. It really allows technical to blend with fundamental analysis in a way that I did not think was possible. With other platforms you are lucky to get 5 or 10 years of history - which is irrelevant if you are a long term investor and they often come at many times the cost. Customizable watchlists and model portfolios allow for back testing performance and risk and easily get dat like average dividend yield, 20 year CAGR and so on. Another plus is that humans and often Rob Koyfman actually respond to customer support unlike other platforms at a similar price like Tradingview where - good luck if you need help. As a result of customer response, new features according to demand are added regularly. In short, I love the product. **What do you dislike about Koyfin?** There is less technical indicator charting ability than on a platform like Tradingview. However, the more I experiment and learn the system, the more useful features I find. There is not much to dislike. **What problems is Koyfin solving and how is that benefiting you?** Koyfin tools are particularly helpful to identify trends in financial data - whether it is in relation to a company's own history or relative to the market or an industry. Custom screens allow for easy dumping to spreadhseets and analysis. Building portfolios from the bottom up and helping with balancing risk and growth is easier. ### 11. Koyfin's specialty is equities and ETF data, but you can find a wide variety of non-equities pricing data too, including various asset classes and economic data series. **What do you dislike about Koyfin?** As an active global macro investor, I wish that the depth of Koyfin's pricing data for non-equity asset classes, including U.S. Treasuries, foreign exchange, and various commodities, was as extensive and updated in real-time as Koyfin does for equities and ETFs. Discovered Koyfin and haven't looked back. The platform is phenominal - it offers all the functionality I used to rely on from Bloomberg, but with a cleaner interface and at a fraction of the cost. And it's web-based which made getting it up and running easy - no buggy software to install and slow down our machines At my firm we use Koyin to monitor watch lists, analyze individual stocks, compare performance of ETFs/Mutual Funds, and build and monitor investment portfolios. In addition, we can use it for macro data analysis (CPI, Housing Trends, Currency) and monitoring fixed income yields and spreads. And the ability to export the raw data behind every chart/graph makes doing more in-depth analysis and preparing reports for clients easy. Koyfin has become a staple of our daily workflow and replaced 2 other investment products we used to use. The ongoing improvement that Rob and his team continue to make is fantastic - every few weeks there are new improvements coming out that are actually relevant to our firm. From the addition of portfolios, to the mobile app, to transcripts, to custom benchmarks, this software covers all our needs. Plus, anytime we've had a question support has been able to get back to us the same day with an answer. **What do you dislike about Koyfin?** Hard to find any things we dislike about it. There are additional features which we'd like to see implemente, but as I said at the pace the Koyin team is adding new features I expect to see these at some point. **What problems is Koyfin solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use the softare to monitor markets, analyze portfolios, and stay up to date on macroeconomic data. We rely on Koyfin for performance attribution, exposure information, and fundamental data across global asset classes, sub-asset classes, sectors, and various market segments. Ditto for all of our publicly-traded holdings, whether ETFs, common shares, or mutual funds. We use the download features to drop data into our own spreadsheets to organize/chart data as we prefer, but Koyfin offers great/customizable charts/graphs as well. The company has done a good job of offering educational seminars, but it can be time-consuming to learn and incorporate into existing work flow. When analyzing a stock I first check out the companys website and its main competitors and find a good qualitative investment case. After that I analyse the quantitative data of the company and also the PeerGroup on Kyofin, which takes me about 3-4 hours, because all the information is easily comparable and compact! ### 28. In addition, the powerful charting allows me to visualize relationships that I used to do manually in Excel. I find it a tremendous time-saver! **What do you dislike about Koyfin?** The biggest downside is that features get added at a decent pace. It is difficult for me to understand how to use the enhancements without carefully going through provided video tutorials. **What problems is Koyfin solving and how is that benefiting you?** The nbiggest problem that Koyfuil solved for me was aggregating and displaying of information that, while available to me on the internet, were not easily grabbed, formatted and charted for analysis. That it costs less than a Bloomberg subscription should almost have gone unsaid. ### 30. I've used FactSet for a number of years, and Koyfin is close to displacing it. Customer support is repsonsive on questions, and the product is easy to use. **What do you dislike about Koyfin?** One thing I wish Koyfin did a better job of, is providing real-time performance for model portfolios. It's easy to integrate into my work flow. **What do you dislike about Koyfin?** Due to data vendor limitations, some data can't be exported into excel. There are no api to work with excel. Manually creating watchlists when we have already entered the securities in a model is extra work.
