## Koyeb Reviews
 ### 1. An amazing Developer Experience!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephen B. | Developer Advocate at Zilliz, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Koyeb?**

The Developer Experience on Koyeb is just amazing! I love using it, everything just works! 🙌

It's really a nice platform to use and as a developer it's my go to! Instead of having to struggle with AWS for example, I can just use Koyeb and deploy my AI apps in different parts of the world.

Also, the CLI is really nice and actually useful! It's so easy to read the logs for example when you make a mistake in your app!

Did I also talk about how pretty it is?! I love the design! 💙
The team is also very responsive if you are wondering how to do something with Koyeb!

**What do you dislike about Koyeb?**

Not much I'd say, but I am gonna continue writing as it's mandatory 😅

**What problems is Koyeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Deploying AI Apps in different part of the world very easily! Also having access to GPUs and not having to deal with any installations

 ### 2. A useful, intuitive platform for running software in the cloud.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pierce K. | Head of Architecture, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Koyeb?**

I've found Koyeb to be a useful tool in our tech stack for deploying machine learning workflows – it offers transparent usage data, manages things that you'd want to be managed (i.e., SSL/TLS), and has a nice, intuitive UI that makes the platform easy-to-use.

**What do you dislike about Koyeb?**

I do not dislike anything about Koyeb so far.

**What problems is Koyeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Deploying software

 ### 3. The best developer and machine learning infra/cloud experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shivay L. | Developer Relations Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Koyeb?**

I love the developer experience using Koyeb. Typically software engineers don't get much experience to work with cloud / deployment platforms. Tools like AWS/Vercel can be very daunting to use initially. But what sets Koyeb apart is the fact that the ease of use and the incredible developer documentation makes it super super intuitive to use. And the additions of GPUs to be able to deploy LLMs with support for vLLM makes Koyeb one of the most exclusive deployment options. All devtools are always driven by good support and good docs. And Koyeb really shines in both these aspects. So huge kudos to the team for not only building a stellar product, but ensuring that the amazing community and the docs well support the product. It is also super easy to implement deployments with Koyeb thanks to the stellar UI and self guided experience using the tool/

**What do you dislike about Koyeb?**

I will be frank, I don't dislike anything. The user experience, and the UI both are great. I guess the only comment will be - in certain parts of the UI there might be a couple of words which might not be immediately understandable for example when creating a new VM instance. So those can be explained by having a small hover over the word to explain the meaning of that technical term.

**What problems is Koyeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Koyeb addresses several challenges associated with serverless computing, AI deployment and microservices, providing solutions that enhance performance, usability, and management.

For my use-cases it is all about the access to GPUs for ML workload deployment coupled with support for vLLM. I run a lot of machine learning workloads at my company with support for multiple local LLMs so being able to deploy these fine-tuned models on GPUs is very important for good performance and no other deployment tools does it better than Koyeb.

 ### 4. Build and deploy everywhere in no time

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephane J. | CTO, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Koyeb?**

In minutes, I went from a prototype on my laptop to a usable demo deployed in different regions (US East, Europe in my case).
Redeploys are super fast (GitHub integration is flawless).
DNS integrations and SSL are great, combined with CloudFlare.
There's an appropriate level of customization.
The UX is great: WebUI to try stuff, CLI to manage on my laptop, Terraform for final deployments.

Edit: their service mesh is also working really well.

**What do you dislike about Koyeb?**

I didn't understand at first that the free "hobby" plan didn't include the possibility to map domains and SSL stuff, and that the "starter" plan was also free, but with the domains and SSL.

Terraform documentation can be improved (if we compare the experience wirth the WebUI which is really great)

**What problems is Koyeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ship and deploy my startup's product around the world without headaches.
I simply point to my git monorepo with various services, they all build run and scale quickly, in various regions like Washington or San Francisco and Germany.

 ### 5. Koyeb - PaaS Done Right

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bilal B. | Head of Infrastructure, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Koyeb?**

Koyeb is a breath of fresh air in the platform as a service industry. While other PaaS has their offering exorbitantly priced, Koyeb is priced failrly and provides a great value for money. Their compute to price ratio is best in the industry, making them a no brainer platform of choice.

Moreover, they have plenty of other great features to make working with infrastructure a breeze. Lastly, the team behind Koyeb is also amazing with ready to help attitude.

**What do you dislike about Koyeb?**

I was a little confused with their UI at the time I started, however, they are already in the process to replace it with a new improved design.

**What problems is Koyeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use a mix of VPS and PaaS at work to maintain lower cost, Since VPS are inexpensive but requires major effort to maintain and usually PaaS are less effort to maintain but expensive. Koyeb seemed to be the platform that can cater to both the ends of this spectrum. We are planning to gradually move our services to Koyeb.

 ### 6. Sleek UX giving a fullstack dev manage devops hassle free / very helpful support staff.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dhruv M. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Koyeb?**

Their SaaS / IaaS offering provides a sleek and aggregated UX for users to orchestrate the services from your code commit super easily ( and thus gives best of the both worlds of fully serverless platforms like vercel but also providing the scalablity with possiblity to scale the compute / storage and network bandwidth's in real time , provisioning the architecture and following the deployment logs on the fly.

Also the support staff was in touch on slack channels and helped with troubleshooting session.

I will really recommend for startup teams who want to avoid the excessive cost of hiring the devops or paying elevated bills of cloud resources or migrating app efficiently to use koyeb.

**What do you dislike about Koyeb?**

Only that you need to take some time to read their well written docs / understand usage of their CLI along with checking out the template examples in their github repo's.

**What problems is Koyeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

deployment of my 2 SaaS platforms that we use to process geospatial data and run geometric algorithms across the big LiDAR datasets stored across AWS S3 / IPFS storage

 ### 7. Super easy way to deploy some apps globally.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thibault L. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Koyeb?**

We can deploy our docker container on multiple regions super easily.

They are continuously improving their solution with all our feedbacks

There is a light mode :)

**What do you dislike about Koyeb?**

The project is still relatively recent; I wish there were more regions to deploy our apps and more features.

**What problems is Koyeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Global app deployment

 ### 8. A great serverless cloud platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Oriol C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Koyeb?**

If you need a running server, with the scalability benefits of serverless architectures and the great DX of the modern cloud platforms, Koyeb is your choice.

We decided to adopt it to deploy our Nuxt application when we switched to SSR. The onboarding and the getting used to with the platform was super easy and the team super friendly. But we got more amazed when we realized the value per cost that it provides, their pricing options are great.

It's really cool seeing startups building their own stack on top of bare metal servers and doing it in the open and sharing it as the Koyeb team.

**What do you dislike about Koyeb?**

Not having native preview deployments (I know it's in the roadmap) force us to build our own solution that's not as optimized, and it takes longer deployment times.

**What problems is Koyeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing the building and deployment of our apps, and taking care of all the underlying infra is the main benefit of using Koyeb.

 ### 9. Very easy to quickly deploy services

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luka S. | Machine learning engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Koyeb?**

It was really easy to spin up an API service. I spent hours doing devops work in AWS, and then did the same thing in Koyeb in 10 minutes.
Their Slack community is very active and they respond quickly.
Also, the UI is intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Koyeb?**

Nothing so far. It's not as feature rich as e.g. AWS or Azure, but instead is much simpler to use, which is a plus for my use cases.

**What problems is Koyeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Deploying api service without much devops work. I'm able to quickly iterate and not spend much time on devops.

 ### 10. Deploy your products in a few minutes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Franck L. | Co-Founder & CTO , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Koyeb?**

Koyeb allowed me to deploy my product in a few minutes with 0 downtimes.
The UI/UX is clear, you don't need to have advanced knowledges in DevOps to do anything.
Customer support is excellent, I have direct access to the CPO & CTO for any question.

**What do you dislike about Koyeb?**

I didn't see any huge downside, maybe it could offer more databases (only postgresql is available I think).

**What problems is Koyeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I wanted to manage my infra without having my hands on deep stuffs which requires times & research.
Koyeb let me focus on my product instead.

 ### 11. A Serverless Platform That Goes Above and Beyond

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Frank H. | VP of Product, Platform, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Koyeb?**

Koyeb is an astonishingly easy to use serverless platform that delivers outstanding performance and flexibility for running cloud-based applications. For both side projects and business critical operations, I've found Koyeb to be a robust solution that scales seamlessly along with your needs.

The integration with Github and first-class Docker support stands out from the crowd - deploying code changes or new containers takes just minutes, unlike the headaches I've dealt with using other platforms. And the compute instances are shockingly fast, feeling even more responsive than dedicated boxes from other providers.

But Koyeb's technical capabilities are only half the story. Their team goes above and beyond to help users troubleshoot any issues and provide guidance. Whether it was assisting with diagnosing a dependency problem I ran into or providing advice on optimizing architecture designs, they've always been courteous, knowledgeable and a pleasure to interact with.

The pricing model is also refreshing - it's pay for what you use, reasonable and has none of the nasty surprises or gotchas I've seen elsewhere. That gives developers complete freedom to experiment without worry. And you can tell the Koyeb team pours genuine care into crafting their platform - the user experience is polished end-to-end.

For any developer needing a "no ops" serverless platform, I can't give a strong enough recommendation to give Koyeb a try. They've delivered an outstanding product that both performs admirably and saves precious time compared to alternatives. Koyeb is now my go-to for deploying personal projects and I eagerly look forward to using them for many years to come as I scale my applications up.

**What do you dislike about Koyeb?**

They release new features and tutorials so fast I can't keep up. There's so many features I want to try that I haven't had a chance to play with. ;)

**What problems is Koyeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Koyeb is primarily solving two significant pain points for me - eliminating the complexity of managing infrastructure and providing flexibility to scale.

In my experience, setting up and maintaining servers, configuring networks, orchestrating containers, and all the other dev ops responsibilities can drain countless hours. It's no doubt the first time but It's overhead that gets in the way of simply building quality applications. With Koyeb's serverless approach, all that initial provisioning and ongoing admin work disappears. I don't have to worry about config files, OS updates, resource monitoring or host health. Their platform handles it for me automatically behind the scenes. And at the same time their platform is transparent and standards based so I don't have to worry about portability.

That simplicity pairs with unmatched agility in growth. Koyeb gives me the power to launch new iterations, features or apps rapidly without ANY wait for infrastructure setup. If I suddenly get an influx of users or traffic, it adjusts itself elastically with no downtime. Compare that to needing to manually scale up VMs which can take lots of effort and cause interruptions. This flexibility benefits me by letting me focus efforts on coding, not cloud management.

 ### 12. Amazing Cloud Platform!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prakhar S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Koyeb?**

Here a few things that are unparalleled about Koyeb
- Ease of Use: It takes less than a minute to set up a service from Scratch
- Ease of Implementation: You need to set up bare minimum settings and your service is up and running.
- Pricing: It's ultimate value for money. It has a free tier and cheapest tier starts from $1.5/month.
- Customer Support: Support is extremely amazing. We have a dedicated Slack channel and the response time is blazingly fast.
- Number of Features: The amount of services you can set up within a minute using koyeb are huge. Also, different ways with which you can deploy a service is also amazing. You can use Github, Docker Image, Custom Image Registry. It's ming boggling.

**What do you dislike about Koyeb?**

Koyeb is an amazing platform with very few cons. The only thing that can be improved is the SLA for startup plan.

But I am pretty sure the team is working on it and there's no need to worry about it.

**What problems is Koyeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our complete software infrastructure is hosted on Koyeb.
We migrated our complete infrastructure from AWS + Heroku -> Koyeb. The experience is amazing. It's more cost effective, performant, and responsive.

 ### 13. Super simple to use!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aurelien V. | Founde & CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Koyeb?**

Stellar support and easy to use. They don't offer many options, making the UI more friendly. I do appreciate the way they communicate with their users.

**What do you dislike about Koyeb?**

You won't have all the services that Azure or AWS will offer but somehow I think that's the reason we like Koyeb. It's not overwhelming to use

Their name is hard to pronounce :P

**What problems is Koyeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a super easy way to host applications with servers that can scale. Choose the right machines for our applications.

 ### 14. Koyeb has made our projects move faster

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Filipe S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Koyeb?**

If you've ever deployed software at scale, you know how hard it can be. Koyeb made it easy for us move much faster by managing the infra themselves for a great price, so we can focus on pushing code to production. In practical terms, this means that within a few minutes, you can setup a koyeb project and push code to production. Customer support has been super helpful as well, always fast to respond to some doubts I had on Slack. Whether you want to push your code directly, or spin up a docker image fast, this is the way to go. We deploy several new features over the span of a year, and so far there has been no downtime.

**What do you dislike about Koyeb?**

Up until now, Autoscaling wasn't possible, but it's being gradually rolled out now. Some UI elements could also be improved to make navigation clearer the first time around.

**What problems is Koyeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Koyeb manages the underlying backend infrastructure for you. I just need to push code to a specified branch, and my production/dev environments get updated accordingly. Support for multi-region is also something we benefit from, and in the future, their Autoscaling service will be the final blow to our AWS usage. If you have ever worked with multi-region, critical services, you know that there are a lot of moving parts that can go wrong at a given time. To be able to delegate most of it to Koyeb to focus on code & features is a blessing.

 ### 15. Koyeb makes deploying easy-breezy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Benjamin S. | Founder & Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Koyeb?**

They stand true to their claims on their website. I've never before deployed my apps as fast as with Koyeb. On top of that their free tier & pricing is exceptional!

**What do you dislike about Koyeb?**

I needed to transfer my domain to a different provider to make domain redirection work properly - but overall it was only a minor downside.

**What problems is Koyeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Koyeb provides a very easy way to deploy apps very fast, even for people with almost no knowledge. The possibility to deploy in a world wide network and their scaling options are excellent!

 ### 16. Using it for sides projects (mostly AI)

**What do you like best about Koyeb?**

Simplicity / ease of use.
Backoffice UI/UX.
Documentation.
People ;-)

**What do you dislike about Koyeb?**

Nothing, it's a great product.
- Console might be better designed
- Deployments UI/UX could be better
- Minor stuff tbh

**What problems is Koyeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simplicity of deployment. FastAPI / Flask projects

 ### 17. Koyeb allowed me to deploy my projects seamlessly and quickly.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Koyeb?**

I like how streamlined the deployment process is because due to the Koyeb team understanding what most users would like. I particularly like their CD pipeline that integrates with github actions.

**What do you dislike about Koyeb?**

I wish the monitoring could be a bit more in depth.

**What problems is Koyeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a place to deploy a web app and Koyeb made that really easy to do in one place instead of several, unlike many other cloud services.

 ### 18. Fast track our development. No need for devops engineer for quite some time

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mikaël M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Koyeb?**

Easy to use
Native load balancer
Service Mesh included
Fast
No brainer deployment

**What do you dislike about Koyeb?**

No Gitlab integration
Sometimes slow to deploy (> 1 min)

**What problems is Koyeb solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I always use Kubernetes to deploy my projets, it's great but it really heavy.
I like simple things, things that can scale automatically, that can spead to other many world location by itself.
Koyed is for me a fantastic product because it does what I want with a lot of simplicity.
