Kordera is an electronic health record and operations platform built for group homes and residential programs. Most EHR software is designed for outpatient clinics and then sold to residential providers with a few fields renamed. So the real work - the shift log, the med sheet, the incident report, the staff training file - stays in binders and spreadsheets until a licensing survey forces someone to go digging. Kordera was built the other way around. It started inside a working residential facility in West Virginia, by people who sit through state licensing reviews and know what a surveyor asks for. It handles shift documentation, medication administration records, incident and serious incident reporting, treatment plans and progress notes, resident face sheets, census and bed tracking, and staff credentials and training hours with expiration alerts. Records requests take minutes instead of days. Access is role-based. Direct care staff see their shift and their residents. A program director sees the house. An administrator sees the organization. It's cloud-based, so there's no server in a closet and no IT staff required. It's HIPAA-compliant, operates as a Business Associate under a signed BAA, and each organization's data stays separated. If you bill Medicaid, claims and prior authorization tracking are there. If you don't bill much, or at all, none of that gets in your way. One system that holds the record, keeps you licensable, and doesn't make your staff hate their documentation.
