PhishER is a product from a well-known company, KnowBe4. As the name suggests, it helps catch the phishing emails that cross the email gateway border. It does it by allowing the end users to report the suspicious emails directly to the IT Security team.

The best part of this tool is that it provides an easy way to report phishing emails. An email plugin called Phish Alert is installed on the end users' email system, allowing them to report all suspicious emails by clicking on it.

It also helps the IT Security team by gathering all the reported emails to the PhishER dashboard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

PhishER is a good tool, but it has some space for improvement:

KnowBe4s products are mostly easy to use and do what we need them to do. We started off looking into their product for our business in order to keep our employees up to date on protecting us and themselves from phishing attacks. Their product makes it quite easy (after the initial setup) to create and schedule phishing tests.

Along with the phishing training we were not expecting, but happily surprised, that their platform will also handle standard online training formats, like SCORM. I was able to convert some PowerPoint files via another bit of software and upload those to KnowBe4, and now some of out yearly training items (Sexual Harassments training, CPNI training and the like) no longer need to be meetings or waste paper. The initial setup, for us, took quite a bit of doing, though that may be more of the non-standard email setup our business has. After getting through that process I have not run into any further issues. Sometimes their site runs a bit slow, but that seems to be getting better as well. I appreciate KnowBe4 PhishER/PhishER Plus for its ease of use, which makes it straightforward for users. The product effectively cuts incident response time, which is a huge benefit.
