This saves me a lot of time since I don't have to look into these emails as much since I know they are a threat. Even when I have to investigate these emails, the separation of images and links and being able to click one button to scan these potentially malicious images and links is very easy. When I had contacted customer support about a new feature being added they were quick to respond and very helpful. **What do you dislike about KnowBe4 PhishER/PhishER Plus?** The number one thing that I dislike is that when an email is reported, every link within the email should automatically be scanned. Having to go through and individually click the scan button for each link and image is time consuming. If there was one button that said "Scan All" it would save a lot of time. **What problems is KnowBe4 PhishER/PhishER Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is solving the problem of having a way to manage phishing emails. For example, I check the headers for the SPF records to make sure that the IP address sending the email is approved by the domain. So the support team had to check if everything was fine with it. Took an employe's value time for this. It might be nice if I could reply and the user gets an update. This has been forgotten frequently and we will have quite a few, but it doesn't hinder daily work at all. The auto-reply notification is great, in theory and we have had requests of "How do I know if that message was legit or not?" Issue rolling it out has been the categorization accuracy and what users do with the auto-reply. First attempt to roll out categorization auto-reply was met with users clicking the PAB on the auto-reply message itself. Yep. Sending the auto-reply message to PhishER, an auto-reply is sent again. It's tight integration with Microsoft is both a strength and weakness. I'm getting more frustrated with Defender as an Anti-Spam Anti-Phishing platform and plan on changing. That integration will be less valuable when that happens. Also - Microsoft values its own products over 3rd party products. As I right this I'm unable to get to it. Also, the machine learning does not seem to be learning, causing me to have to check too many unknowns. **What problems is KnowBe4 PhishER/PhishER Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** Reporting is good but elements from reports are scattered between custom reports. If I need a report from one custom report, but other data from a different custom report, it is manual work to combine the data. ### 25. This is due to compny and corperate domains (whos URL's start with the below - (https://usg02.safelinks.protection.office365.us). Utilizing this also allowed us to be able to renew our cybersecurity insurance, which was great! There is a nice variety of content. **What do you dislike about KnowBe4 PhishER/PhishER Plus?** The biggest downside to PhishER is mainly just that it can be difficult to get staff to follow through with utilizing it. Some of the trainings can seem a bit basic for more advanced folks. It would be nice to have a quiz at the beginning that if people can pass the test, they do not need to watch all the videos in that particular training. Some individuals will need that basic level training, but many will not. **What problems is KnowBe4 PhishER/PhishER Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** Allowing us to maintain our cybersecurity insurance while also preventing cyber-attacks or hacking. It allows us to report suspicious emails with the click of a button vs. people forwarding questionable emails and further exposing other employees to risks. ### 30. We use it in conjunction with the phish alert add on for Outlook. It is extremely user friendly and provides great insight into reported emails. It saves so much time. I also created actions so I can automate user notifications and file reported emails by category which is very helpful in audits and reviews **What do you dislike about KnowBe4 PhishER/PhishER Plus?** I would like the ability to do some additional reporting on the actions I created. I do have reports now that shoe me the info I need, but having to ability to filter my reports a little more based on the actions/tags I created would be helpful in the future **What problems is KnowBe4 PhishER/PhishER Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am a department of one so anything I can use to help save time is crucial and PhishER really does this for me. SecurityCoach is a new feature, and the onboarding has not been as smooth as we would like. But I can see why it is an excellent tool to educate users directly after they have done a questionable action. I think that this new feature should be free (included) in the Diamond plan. *(and an additonnal fee with the other plans). **What problems is KnowBe4 PhishER/PhishER Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are using PhishER to automatize email triaging and auto-response. The PhishRIP feature is also great for collecting similar emails to the one reported so we can quarantine them across the entire organization in bulk. Although, it would be a great addition if we could use PhishER so it could find emails that has not been already reported. If would be so helpful to ask PhishER to find emails across the organization using attributes like subject, sender, body, etc (pretty much the same attributes already available for a normal PhishRIP). That way, we could find and potentially quarantine suspicious emails even if a user has not reported it. ### 32. The tool is easy to set up and is pretty easy to use and in today's environment it is used quite often. **What do you dislike about KnowBe4 PhishER/PhishER Plus?** Does not match the block conditions entirely to office 365, as you can't block emails/hashes forever. Customer Support response can be somewhat slow sometimes. If you have the RIP with it you can pull the message into quarantine before you get more tickets from other people from the same phish. Allows you to track threats and spam as well as a mini-ticket system. Definitely helps speed things up investagint email. **What do you dislike about KnowBe4 PhishER/PhishER Plus?** What could be better is if you could some how confirm if the pulling of the messages into quarantined worked, and some sort of summary saying how many it found and pulled. It would help identify how big the risk is. **What problems is KnowBe4 PhishER/PhishER Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** Making it easy for the end user to turn report phishing attacks and make them more aware. I have also notice it has help reduce people asking if something is spam. they know click the button and if it is spam it will be gone for good **What do you dislike about KnowBe4 PhishER/PhishER Plus?** the only real dislikes i have with the software is the deplyment to some machine. as it wouldnt work with group policy deployment. so it took about an hour or so to get the remaining machines to install the software. Additionally, VT_Threat status tag should be applied ASAP and not wait until all links are examined. Malicious actors try to overwhelm scanners with dozens of links and PER suffers from this exploit as well with inaccurate tags due to incomplete scan results. **What problems is KnowBe4 PhishER/PhishER Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** Reduces manual effort to review reported threats and is able to more quickly provide acknowlegments ### 36. The button submits the email and removes it from your Inbox. If it is determined to be malicious, that information is used to remove it from others Inboxes and/or prevent it's delivery in the first place. **What do you dislike about KnowBe4 PhishER/PhishER Plus?** I can't really complain, it works well. If I had to say something, finding how to report phishing on mobile devices is a little hard to find at first. In the desktop Outlook, it's just right there. **What problems is KnowBe4 PhishER/PhishER Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** Easy and cerntralized reporting and submission of suspected malicious email. It also uses submissions and detections to preemptively protect others in the company/organization. ### 41. I can track who is taking advantage and who I need to speak to. It also keeps me up to date on the newest types of attacks, alongside newsletters from knowbe4 itself. On a couple of occasions, I have recieved newsletters from knowbe4 warning of a new type of attack only to start getting PhishER alerts about them hours later. It allows me a chance to send out an email to all staff warning about the attack in plain english they can follow. **What do you dislike about KnowBe4 PhishER/PhishER Plus?** VirusTotal. I have found it to be nearly useless. The only site it consistently generates a result for is gmail.com. Files that are *.pdf.html (which are exceedingly common) it generates absolutely no warning on, and other links always show zero results also. I end up only having my own judgement to base my judgements on. Which is fine for me, but I don't think its a good resource for those who might be more reliant on tools like it to base their decisions on. My impression is that those customers are the target of the company more than myself, so I think that might be a big point to reevaluate. Unfortunately I don't know what a good solution may be, but it clearly needs to be reevaluated. **What problems is KnowBe4 PhishER/PhishER Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have seen benefit mostly as already described above, but the existence of the PAB and its link to PhishER has empowered so many of my employees to send me emails they just don't feel comfortable about. Prior to it, they had to call me and have me come see them, or they would send me an email. I often got statements like "I didn't want to bother you, but..." and I don't anymore. I just get an alert, and I handle it. ### 48. That being said, PhishER picks up the slack where our traditional mail security solution leaves off.
