**What do you like best about Kisi?**

Phone app works great, no cards to remember.  I love it's integration with meraki cameras for security time stamping.  I love the ease of install. Im a huge fan of the design, controller and reader and how they connect separately to my network and the magic happens in the cloud.  The licensing is affordable. and it works everytime we install it.

**What do you dislike about Kisi?**

the billing! we had so many issues with our PO numbers not translating to the invoice.  so we have to scratch our heads and try to figure out what office site we installed a particular invoice at.  NOT customer friendly.  When we first started with KISI, nightmares with charging our credit card till we could get on net30 terms.  We did not get good support on that.

**What problems is Kisi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kisi makes group authentication quick.  What i mean is you can create groups of users that can be assigned quickly to have rights to other offices, other times, etc. works great!

**What do you like best about Kisi?**

The API is well-documented and straightforward to integrate with. We built a native integration for our gym management platform and the whole process was smooth — from API key setup to provisioning users and managing group assignments. The partnership team was also very responsive and professional throughout the onboarding process. Having cloud-based access control that we can automate through the API has been a real value-add for our customers.

**What do you dislike about Kisi?**

The webhook functionality exists but isn't documented in the public API reference at api.getkisi.com, which made it harder to discover and implement. Having webhook setup and event types covered in the API docs would save integration partners a lot of time.

**What problems is Kisi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kisi solves the problem of manually managing physical access for gym members. Before integrating Kisi, gym operators had to hand out key fobs or manually update access lists every time a membership changed. With Kisi's cloud-based access control and API, we automate the entire process — members get door access the moment they sign up and lose it the moment their membership ends. This saves our customers hours of admin work each week and eliminates the security risk of former members retaining access.

**What do you like best about Kisi?**

I find Kisi incredibly easy to use and manage. It integrates smoothly with a bunch of other coworking tools and resources. I also love that it syncs with calendars, making it a breeze to set up schedules. Additionally, syncing Kisi with OfficeRnD to manage access based on memberships works really well.

**What do you dislike about Kisi?**

The intercom system and hardware could be finicky at times. It would also be nice to have multiple admins have access and the ability to respond to door rings instead of it being limited to a single device.

**What problems is Kisi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Kisi to manage coworking space access, allowing 24/7 access and easier remote management. It's user-friendly, integrates well with other tools like OfficeRnD and Google Calendar, and simplifies scheduling and access based on memberships.

**What do you like best about Kisi?**

I have been considering door access control for our facility for about a year now. After researching all the available companies, I ultimately chose Kisi. The main reason for my decision was my experience with my sales representative, Kalib Mickelson. He consistently supported me, answered every question—no matter how trivial—maintained contact even during long periods of inactivity, and was always both personable and extremely informative. In my 25 years of administration, I have interacted with many service and sales representatives, but I have never received this level of support. Saying he went above and beyond doesn't even capture it. While I can't yet comment on the product itself, my experience with Kalib was the deciding factor in my purchase. If Kalib's manager happens to read this, he truly deserves a raise and a promotion. Exceptional customer service is rare these days, but Kalib absolutely nailed it!

**What do you dislike about Kisi?**

The price is a bit higher than other options. But the robust features and flexibility seem to justify the cost.

**What problems is Kisi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed 24 hr access to our facility with the technology to integrate with our company software and add some security functions like tailgating.

Billing cycle and management is not useful. We pay via ACH and have to wait until the invoice is due to actually receive the invoice.

The ease of use, simple functionality, and clean UI.

The customer support is terrible. We had a critical issue recently, and they simply refused to help me. I called dosend of times and left multiple emails, but they did not help me. Finally, someone from the sales team contacted me to apologize, which was nice of him, but the support staff have still not contacted me about the issues we are facing.

**What do you like best about Kisi?**

The product itself is amazing and super easy to install. The best part about Kisi so far has been their customer service. I have been working with account executive Kalib Mickelson. He knows the product inside and out and is very knowledgable with everything. His customer service has been the best I have seen in a long time. He responds to emails pretty much immediately and he handles my issues quickly. I would highly reccomend Kisi to anyone based on my experience with him!

Nothing! Everything has been amazing so far!

I own an unstaffed gym. Kisi is providing me with the security of my members gaining access to my facility. I know who is coming in and out of my gym which is very reassuring.

We installed Kisi at our 2nd location, and we couldn't be happier.  The system is extremely to setup, and everyone in customer support is always so quck to respond.  I was able to get my door setup by just following the very detailed instructions.

We have absolutely no complaints.  Compared to other options, Kisi is really the best choice.

**What problems is Kisi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kisi allows me to manage my door without actually having to be at my locations.  With the addition of my camera, we can let in deliveries, greet customers, and control the flow of the door.  We can unlock for events, and regulate operational hours.

The ease of it all. Everything from installation over to dashboard and integration possibiliities. Over the years it´s always easy to connect with and get quick support and answers.

I´d like to have the ability to connect more doors to each box. Other than that I´m happy.

By using KISI we don´t have to deal with the same amount of access cards/fobs and most importantly keys. 
Quick onboarding and ability to give access event if you´re not on site. And the same goes for removal of users.

Kisi allows us to create unlock schdules for all of the doors at our building. Everything works as intended and the system makes it very easy to make adjustments as needed.

**What do you dislike about Kisi?**

The cost of transitioning to the most up-to-date hardware can be a bit steep, but all of the updates are very thoughtful improvements to the intial product.

**What problems is Kisi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can easily set our main doors to unlock for the public during business hours and for strictly members the rest of the time. The basic reporting allows us to check who is in the space which acts as a great security measure. It also allows us to lock meeting rooms when not in use without keys which is a big time saver.

Kisi is really easy to use; it's like your door knows you're coming.
I feel safe knowing it's always encrypted and secure.
I love that I can unlock doors with just my phone, no matter where I am

Kisi can be a bit pricey, which might not be ideal for smaller budgets.
The dashboard could be more user-friendly; sometimes it's tricky to find what I need.

Kisi streamlines our access management, so there's no fumbling with keys or badges anymore.
It's solving security issues; I trust that only the right people can get in.
This system saves time for our team, making coming and going from the office a breeze.

Our experience with Kisi has been exceptional. The product works better than advertised. The sales and support teams are exceptionally customer service oriented, always quick and accurate. I would especially highlight a member of the support team, Winnie Niza. Winnie is always available, very patient, and helps solve any challenge very quickly.

I only have favorable feedback. The Kisi system works better than advertised.

Fairly easy to set up and manage access. Love that you have the option to give temporary access or the temporary links.

The reporting is a bit difficult to navigate - you can see all of the events but trying to find one particular event in the exported spreadsheet is like finding a needle in a haystack.

Kisi helps our laundry mats stay protected via door access and they provide great support whenever you need it. The dashboard is easy to use and easy to integrate as well.

I cant think of any downsides to using Kisi.

We can set an unlock and locking schedule for our laundry mats to keep them secure during non-business hours.

The product works very well, its reliable, and the remote management is fantastic. I love to UI and how simple it is to use for both the administrators and the users.

The lack of alarm monitoring service resulted in us having to look elsewhere for support, this wasn't the easiest to source - I would prefer to have only one security system - both access control and alarm monitoring.

Great interface for the customers and employees - Integegrates with our management software. Easy to on board and support customers.

Tracking and exporting events for data analytics was a bit tricky originally, but they have constantly worked to improve it.

There have been very few times where I have experienced glitches. In the event, support has always been so helpful and quick to respond.

**What do you like best about Kisi?**

Kisi's cloud-based approach with over-the-air updates makes it a much better system than the previous generation's on-premise access systems. It has many out-of-the-box features and can easily be extendable through a mix of industry-standard components as well as its API. The android app and Apple app are great and the Apple Watch app works well too although you do have to actively click on the watch app and it's not as automatic as the phone.

**What do you dislike about Kisi?**

There were some early quirks with POE compatibility on our Dell switches where we had to use POE injectors but since switching to Cisco we no longer have this issue. Sometimes the readers can go offline and we have had to swap them out. Requires active internet connection but the new offline mode solves this. Any issue we have had with Kisi seemed to get smoothed out over time so there is not much to dislike.

Centralized and real-time access with logging and the flexibility to extend the system over time. Helps us not have to focus on access control because it just works!

**What do you like best about Kisi?**

Modern interface for administration of the system, flexibility in credentials (mobile app, cards, stickets, tokens, time-based guest links), ability to manage multiple spaces, setting specific permission levels by user group or individual users, remote door open  (with ability to limit it geographically on a user by user basis), and much more. If you are looking for a more modern access system, this is it. They are also constantly working on improving the product.

**What do you dislike about Kisi?**

The reporting is a bit limited. There is a log of everything that goes on, but it can sometimes be challenging to find a specific event. In the past we've seen the system go offline for no reason we've been able to determine - a reset did the trick usually. This has not happened within the past year. If you delete the credential without deassigning it first, it cannot be used again until you contact support to have them unassign it.

**Recommendations to others considering Kisi:**

Would highly recommend if you are looking to add or replace a current legacy access system.

Easy way to administer access to our office space. Very flexible in how we assign access levels to each individual employee. The benefit is that we spend almost no time administering it - once you set it up (easy and quick to do), there is very little to manage.

Kisi makes managing workspace access easy and streamlined. The ability to create different groups with various access allows for customization and personalization.

**What do you dislike about Kisi?**

Kisi relies on internet/data to work and we have had times where our internet is out and our location has poor cell/data service so some people were unable to access certain areas.

**What problems is Kisi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In an industry where employee turnover is high, it allows us to grant and deny access with the click of a button  instead of hunting down keys when an employee is no longer employed. It also allows for the customization of profiles/groups so that you can control not only who has access but when they have access.

Should your space lose access to the internet, Kisi supports two fallback mechanisms for unlocking doors or elevators:

Offline cache on the reader: with offline caching for credentials, Kisi allows users to unlock doors even without internet connectivity.
Offline cache on the phone: with mobile data enabled on your phone, the Kisi reader will receive a certificate from your phone through Bluetooth or NFC to unlock the door.

I like that I don't have to look for my keys when I'm trying to get in the door with bags, equipment, etc. It's a fantastic technology that makes a difference and is worth the cost. It also provides a significant level of security.

It is a great way to give employees building access without having to have keys or keycards made for each employee. Also, it is convenient to have the ability to unlock doors from my mobile device.

Being able to access the entire building with my phone. Benefits are not having to carry a key card or remember to bring a key card everyday.

**What do you like best about Kisi?**

I like that when we have visitors to our office, it's super easy to give them access to our building! Before we had Kisi, someone had to be in the office and hand them a physical key card and then make sure to get that back before they left town. With Kisi, we feel more secure!

**What do you dislike about Kisi?**

When the WiFi goes out, people have a hard time getting in and out of our building! We also had some issues between the building technology and Kisi technology. For a while Kisi wasn't working and we had a challenging time figuring out the issue. (because it's an older building). We also have a few employees that don't use smart phones, so they still have to use a physical key card.

**Recommendations to others considering Kisi:**

Great for everyone on the same page and offices that are constantly in flux! Can be a bit cumbersome if WiFi goes out or if not everyone has a smart phone.

**What problems is Kisi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving for increased security, lower cost for missing key cards, ease of access for visiting guests

Offline cache on the reader: with offline caching for credentials, Kisi allows users to unlock doors even without internet connectivity.

Offline cache on the phone: with mobile data enabled on your phone, the Kisi reader will receive a certificate from your phone through Bluetooth or NFC to unlock the door.

Kisi allowed me to get into or lock up my office on the 16th floor of a crowded Manhattan building whenever I needed. As an intern, I likely wouldn't have been given a special key or access code but with Kisi it was no problem.

**What do you dislike about Kisi?**

I just worry about security with all the recent app data breaches.

**What problems is Kisi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to grant or revoke security access within the company with the click of a button.

I don't like that the door doesn't automatically open as you approach and that you have to swipe in-app in order to make it open.

Definitely pay for the version that detects as you get closer in order to open the door automatically vs. the manual app swiping version

It provides the benefit of not giving everybody in the whole office a key and it provides the ability for people who are remote to come work in-office as well.

Kisi is an application on your phone, and access to a kisi door must be authorized. There is essentially two barriers of security. We use this at my job every day and it has been highly efficient and very easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Kisi?**

Sometimes, but very rarely, there have been connectivity issues. Not a huge problem though as its only happened once to me.

Would recommend it for any business

**What do you like best about Kisi?**

I used this when half our team was sharing keys due to a lack there of. As we had many remote team members that would occasionally travel in our office building didn't want to provide more keys to us and didn't want us to make copies so we needed an alternative to allow us to securely allow remote employees into the office. This was an amazing system as after it was set up on a pretty old door and everyone could just download the app, sign-in and open the door. It also worked on multiple doors!

**What do you dislike about Kisi?**

Nothing really, however, it is not the most attractive or interactive app. It was easy to download, set up and use so no complaints from me. I will note the initial page after you sign in doesn't clearly state how you would open the designated door, but it didn't take more than a few minutes to figure it out.

**Recommendations to others considering Kisi:**

I think they should start competing with August and other apps so I can get this for my apartment.

**What problems is Kisi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowing all employees to get in despite running out of keys or having teams that are not based in your office but will need to access it at random times. This was also a good option as we could allow anyone to use it.
