It helps the people who just signed up for your product get to their first win, and it steps in when they get stuck, while they’re still there. Why Kipt exists Most onboarding is static: the same tour or checklist for everyone, whether a new user is flying through or stuck on step two. And the users who get stuck rarely ask for help. They just leave, and by the time it shows up as churn, they’ve been gone for weeks. Kipt was built by Matthew Brown, who has spent twenty years building software, fifteen of them running a SaaS company with a small team, after seeing that pattern in years of support tickets. How it works You build an onboarding flow in a visual builder, with no code: questions that send people down different paths, pop-ups, checklists and tips that point at the right button. You add one small script tag to your product (under 12 KB), and from then on you change your flows in Kipt without redeploying your app. A live preview shows each step exactly as your users will see it, drawn by the same code that runs on your site. Reflex: onboarding that notices On the Growth plan, Reflex watches each step for the moments people give up: taking much longer than usual, going quiet, abandoning a field, heading for the exit, or not coming back. When that happens, it steps in with a tip, a pop-up, a shortcut past the step, an email to the user, or an alert to your team. Reflex runs on plain rules, not AI guesses, and every time it steps in, it records why in plain English, for example “no activity for 30s on Get set up”. It’s capped at about two nudges per visit and never interrupts someone who’s moving fast. See what’s working Each flow shows how many people started, how far each one got, and where they stopped. You can test two versions of a step, or two whole flows, and keep the winner, and a weekly email sends you the results. Flow validation checks every flow before it goes live and keeps watching once it does: if a tip can’t find what it points at on your site, you get an email while it’s still one person. Pricing Starter is $29 a month for one flow with every static tool. Growth is $99 a month for multiple flows and apps, Reflex and A/B testing. Every account starts with a 14-day free trial of everything, and no card is needed. Privacy Kipt doesn’t sell your users’ data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI.
