Data wasn't showing properly (states being marked as exposed when we have no taxable products in the state) and I wasn't going to commit to a contract with them until they can solve the issue. They claimed to be working on it but never gave me an update after 1+ month and ignored my follow up email. Their ads keep showing up in my social media and kept reminding me about being ghosted. That prompted this review. **What problems is Kintsugi solving and how is that benefiting you?** Was hoping they could be a cheaper alternative to a sales tax tool while still maintaining the same level of customer service, but that wasn't the case. **Official Response from Carolyn Hoffner:** > We're genuinely sorry to hear about your experience. They educate us when appropriate and this just functions like you hope a partnership would (does not feel like a vendor relationship). Very hopeful that this relationship continues to operate like this because we will be long term customers if it does. **What do you dislike about Kintsugi?** Honestly, this is a hard question. I wish Shopify gave them access to the checkout so they could inject the tax rates but I understand why Shopify has this locked up. **What problems is Kintsugi solving and how is that benefiting you?** Kintsugi is streamlining the state tax filings process. They are making a very complicated system more approachable and easier to understand. ### 3. Please fix this. I dont want to sign a 18 month contract with avalara. **What problems is Kintsugi solving and how is that benefiting you?** Sales tax compliance ### 4. They do it automatically and notify me of the filing and payment. Customer Support was fantastic when we first signed up. What was a quarterly ordeal is now a "notification email". Soon our small business will do monthly returns and I am thankful for Kingsugi. **What do you dislike about Kintsugi?** the implementation was a challenge for us, but that's because we find Sales Tax Returns to be cumbersome. Their customer support walked us thru the process. **What problems is Kintsugi solving and how is that benefiting you?** automatically complete and file return saving me hours each month. ### 5.
