I feel like Kintone might not be the best program for our organization because we need a database that is going to act as a "hub" or "one-stop shop" for our staff, volunteers and clients. Right now it is only staff have access to it. Yes, it holds our records, but we need the database to do more. We need a space where we can hold information, easily download and analyze data, user friendly for volunteers to use. For example, our organization has to collect attendance reports from our volunteers and then enter it into kintone database. It would be ideal for volunteers to be able to fill out a form that auto-fills into kintone. Things like this would save us time. Support was fantastic in assisting with setup and creation of an application. Robust features to customize almost any need an application or use case may have. Was able to create an entire inventory tracking system with mobile app capabilities to include taking and storing of pictures open delivery and pickup of packages. Check In/Out of boxes and items with audit logging. Literally took a day maybe 2 to perfect the setup and go live in production after importing the excel sheet into the database. The licensing model has a flaw in that it treats ever user equally nearly so building an application that may have a user that uses that application 7 hours a day is the same license and cost for a user that only uses it 30 minutes a day. It can very quickly turn a simple application from a few dollars to several hundred or thousands if you invite an entire company just to use the app 1/10 the amount of time the main super users do. This can be cost prohibitive and remove the no code low code convenience if over 3-5 years it costs far more than just a custom developer would. The user permissions and application permissions is a little confusing. The model really could benefit from hourly credits like a pool of hours for non-essential users and then flat rate active fulltime access. Keeps it cost effective and allows for blanket installs of users across an entire org when you are unsure just how well adoption will be company wide. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Kintone is very customizable which means that if somebody in my team asks me if we can do something in Kintone, I am able to say yes almost all of the time. Plus, it's fun to figure out how to most efficiently organize data in Kintone. You are able to create apps which keeps different data separate and organized, for example, one app for budgets and another app for meeting notes, but you are also able to connect the data across apps so all of the budget and meeting note data that is in separate apps will link to the same client. Because it is so customizable, sometimes I'll set up a task or table and then realize that it was not the best way to do it. My coworkers have also called it clunky and hard to adapt into their work flow. After a couple of years of learning and using it, plus a few added customizations, plus making tutorial videos for my coworkers, we are in a great place with Kintone and really appreciate it, but it did take us time and work to get there. I love that Kintone allows me to almost effortlessly track data. We have expanded the data tracking of our organization exponentially because of Kintone. It is VERY easy to create an app and easy to import and export data to a spreadsheet. I also LOVE that Kintone offers a Non-Profit price break. It allows us as a small non-profit to use a wonderful tool.

There are a few features that are missing, that would be helpful. 1) searching for a partial name, like typing "JA" and having all of the names that meet that being available to select from. 2) being able to sort the 'apps' based on my personal frequency of use rather than when they were created.
