In the six months I've been using it, absolutely nothing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Kintone solving and how is that benefiting you? Kintone has transformed our data. Previously, every department and account manager had their own spreadsheet with client information that was relevant to them. There were other spreadsheets for billing and/or annual projects. If a client’s address changed or they hired a new point person, not everyone was updating their data if it wasn’t pertinent to them. This created problems as no one knew which information was the most recent - or if we did, the most recent info was unfortunately saved in more than one spreadsheet. Kintone gives us one central place to store information and provides different views for each manager or project we are working on. Fields like billing can be hidden from certain users or departments. Process management allows users to keep track of projects that require multiple steps and users. A variety of field selections (multi-select, check box, text, date, etc) ensure that there are no typos or inconsistencies in our data. Automated notifications eliminate the step of emailing a team member when a step is completed. Reminders eliminate the need to separately enter info in a calendar and additionally provide a link to the exact task. The icing on the cake is the ability to create saved graphs that allow management to quickly see how the business is doing at any given moment in time. Understanding Kintone’s use of fields, apps, mappings, forms and views took a little patience but I could not be happier with their sales and support staff. I cannot say enough about Pavan and Charles. The two of them always made themselves available and always had a solution for what we needed. It’s no secret that they are technically superior to my marketing mind, yet they were always able to explain things to me so that I understood the reasoning. I highly recommend Kintone. The time dedicated to understanding, learning and using it, will be nothing compared to the time you save looking for information that’s scattered throughout your company. I like that Kintone is fully customizable for our organization. We needed a software program that could handle a certain level of complexity and Kintone definitely does that. We used Salesforce for almost 10 years, and it never quite met our needs. I also appreciate that the employees have a "can do" attitude and will find a way to help us with a number of requests that we have. They are friendly and personable, and integrate themselves with our organization - it just feels like they are a part of us and that they care about our success. We actually haven't started using Kintone exclusively yet. The one feedback that I have about the process of creating our solution is that it was never mapped out for us, so we're flying blind. I'm never sure how far along in the process we are, or what to expect in the future. I understand that they are creating something customized for us, but there's got to be some kind of overarching schedule that the engineers/developers follow. Kintone has completely changed our internal documentation, efficiency, and reporting accuracy. Its customization to our specific workflow has allowed our team to build what we need and has proven to be a cost-effective resource. Kintone has allowed our team to document and report data way more accurately than ever before. It has also allowed documentation related to individual clients to be kept in one spot for easy reference when working with repeat clients. During the building, implementation, and data collection process we have had continued, high-quality support from our Kintone project manager, Tim Edingfield. From guidance on creating the app, updating internal processes that led to updates in Kintone, and building reports specific to the way our funders ask for them. Every question we have is thoroughly answered and not only updated/fixed for our team but shown to our team so that we can do the same thing in the future. Having the excellent support from Tim has lent to a high quality experience for our team as he figured out our internal processes very quickly and adapted some of the limitations of the app to best fit our needs. By asking the right questions and showing the need to get to know our workflow, there was a level of trust that was built with Tim and only further built our confidence with his service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Kintone? The downside of using the app is some of the formatting, if had the option, would format differently. We understand some of the built-in features are limited. For example, not being able to display the work week (M-F) or hours of operation within the calendar. Or some of the options with the font type and size. Also, not being able to type the '12' in our time field is just one more click the specialists have to make. There are some preferences within the reporting features that are lacking, i.e. alphabetizing the individual report graphs. Although we have been able to make the reporting features work for our needs, it has been difficult to get them exactly how we need them to work for us. Setting up the reports and exporting data does not offer a lot of flexibility. Tim has been helpful in working to set things up as much as the app allows, but certain limitations exist within the default features of Kintone. What problems is Kintone solving and how is that benefiting you? Since the implementation of Kintone, we now have one platform to store all client information in a helpdesk environment, thus eliminating multiple spreadsheets. Before starting Kintone our team utilized a spreadsheet, Microsoft Outlook calendar, and some features of an already existing platform. It was very time-consuming alternating between the three systems as the platform we had in place did not have a home to capture all the information necessary. It has been a lot easier training and onboarding new employees. Kintone has allowed better access of client information regardless of when it was collected. Being able to briefly review notes related to an individual all in one place saves time and prevents duplication of information or referrals being made, as the team can easily see what services the client has already received. It has also helped us manage referrals for need in a way that streamlined processes that used to be very time-consuming and stressful. Easy to use for those who aren't tech savvy, for example, you can create an Application very easily with an Excel/CSV file. They also have various methods of integration - from utilizing API to having plugins to directly connect your data. From my experience, though limited it is, I am having to rewire my brain around different ways of setting simple settings from other Database Applications like Primary Key & Foreign Keys.
