We've been able to create some simple apps quickly and painlessly without the need for development skills. However, with our team's development skills, we've also been able to create much more complex production managment software that connects multiple apps together. Everything is adaptable and thus we keep building on it as our business grows. **What do you dislike about Kintone?** It's not as pretty as some software out there, but the fact that it works better than most is far more important. It works on mobile phones, but it's not fully mobile adapted. **What problems is Kintone solving and how is that benefiting you?** We looked at every major industry software and decided we would be cutting corners by using any of them, or we would be committed to a high monthly cost that didn't make sense for the size of our business. It is easy to have the lists of our data. There are couple of things we need to fix on our platform but Kintone is very easy to fix. The main reason why use kintone is to collect data and follow up with the prospect customers. Kintone makes us, as a international education school, very easy to contact and very easy to manage. I really like how we can see everyone's work load and make simple to manage everything. **What do you dislike about Kintone?** For anyone, it is hard to understand the new system. To understand the system in Kintone, it took some time to understand how it works and how I can optimize this to give us the most efficient way to gather our data. Comparing with ASANA, also the another management application we recently started to use recently to see the tasks and everything, ASANA is a whole different platform so you maybe cannot compare but ASANA do much better job in regard of managing the tasks. He has been able to add some amazing functionality for us. I honestly don't know how I would have managed this last year without Kintone! As we are nearing our organization-wide roll out of Kintone, it is greatly simplifying our approval processes (saving me a lot of time and also preventing errors). The fact that it's online and it's a great price for non-profits. Great to have a full dashboard to share with colleagues. **What do you dislike about Kintone?** I really wish I could customize things like the x and y axes for reports, change the sizing of the table cells, and basically reformat so it's easier to understand. Some additional functions with tables to create more targeted reports. There are some limitations around the tables and pivot tables that makes it hard to have easily comprehensible final reports. Again, would love to rename some cells so things are clearer. This was a big learning curve, but it is a useful tool. **What problems is Kintone solving and how is that benefiting you?** The need to share information with coworkers, and do grant reporting. I'm still setting it up, so I don't have a full picture of it's utility for coworkers. Again, still concerned that coworkers will have trouble absorbing the data because of issues around customizing the visual component. Running custom complex calculations for clients, and showing those results in tables. I have been able to run third party api’s and pull requested data in to that application for analysis and calculation points. We can make this work for almost any process we have. Our biggest goal with Kintone currently is to reduce paperwork overhead and to help redefine some key businesses processes. So it has become a big tool in terms of process development. For a small-family owned company, this is HUGE. **What do you dislike about Kintone?** There's not much we dislike - dislike is a bit of a strong word. There are some more things we'd like as an added benefit, but nothing that would be a deal-breaker. Opening up options for connectivity with other software (Office 365, for example). Especially for small business - this would give us the ability to be even more flexible and include some of our processes that are good. A lot of your mid-size to small companies are not going to have large-scale software product implementations. They're going to have a plethera of different softwares used to keep their business up and running. The more flexible a software, the better. **Recommendations to others considering Kintone:** It's DEFINITELY worth it. Kintone has enough flexibilty that you can pretty much create what you want. The support is top-notch and extremely helpful. The overhead of implementing is almost non-exisistent . Technically, if we had known exactly how we wanted to implement our process ahead of time - implementation could've taken less than a day. It only took longer because we were completing redesigning one of our processes. Take your time through the documentation - that's the biggest thing. The documentation is helpful - but read it ahead of time. **What problems is Kintone solving and how is that benefiting you?** To start we've created a Supplier Portal in order to reduce overhead (a day and a half worth) for our Purchasing Department. The support to set up our database has been excellent, as compared to Quickbase, that basically gave us the software and said "Good luck!" SO much more user-friendly and intuitive than Quickbase - I have spent hours trying to find something as simple as adding a user, and still can't get a field to list people alphabetically by last name, which worked just fine until they updated the software. **What do you dislike about Kintone?** We're still implementing it, so I haven't found anything yet. **Recommendations to others considering Kintone:** AS a nonprofit, I recommend it to other nonprofits and an excellent darabase solution at a reasonable cost and outstanding customer service. **What problems is Kintone solving and how is that benefiting you?** Again, we're still in the implementation stage, but I can tell you that Kintone will be a great help in consolidating our multiple spreadsheets that we maintain in addition to Quickbase because it takes too much time to create.
