What do you like best about Kinetic Data?

I absolutely love the flexibility of the product and platform. The drag and drop form creation in Kinetic. its ability to integrate with other systems, and its ability to make your web applications look and feel like any other website or meet any branding requirement cannot be beat. What do you dislike about Kinetic Data?

Advanced branding requires web development expertise, using non-proprietary and standard web development methodologies (React, HTML, javascript, jquery, cascading style sheets, etc.). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Kinetic Data solving and how is that benefiting you?

Providing a customer self-service web request capability, customer request status visibility, integrating with other business systems, automating process workflows, fostering collaboration on issues, and processing request fulfillments. What do you like best about Kinetic Data?

The KD product line is a suite of products that work seamlessly together. The largest strength, in my mind, however is the KD Task Engine. With it, one can perform a multitude of different tasks - automated provisioning, process automation, ETL, micro-services - and all are created using easy to implement Ruby/Java code for specialized tasks and a graphical design interface that is powerful and easy to use.

It is far superior to any other workflow management software I've used before. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kinetic Data?

I could consider the weakest part of the KD suite to be the KD Request interface builder. While still quite good for creating individual services (Forms), the mechanism to add branding and special functionality to the web portals, pages, and interface requires implementing what is called a Bundle, which is more or less a complete website structure that is created via direct file editing.

It's not a difficult design pattern to learn, and is quite powerful, but compared to the ease of implementation of their backend KD Task Engine, it is not as robust.

The addition of a "bundle builder" or "site designer" would be an excellent feature for future releases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Kinetic Data:

This is a high quality product with many good features and excellent customer support and service. However, it does require a fair amount of knowledge in most web technologies, so having personnel with solid web-dev experience is essential. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Kinetic Data solving and how is that benefiting you?

KD has allowed us to solve innumerable problems with regards to integration and provisioning. With very low overhead, we've been able to implement services which allow us to provision virtual servers in both cloud and on-prem clusters, create user accounts, manage data flow between disparate systems, easily incorporate approvals at multiple steps in any given process. Removes a lot of labor and more importantly makes many steps consistent. Why are people still doing everyrhong manually, I don't know. Get this product and automate automate automate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
