I have to say it was very easy to get to this point with their guidance! The website immediately started to read the file and get rid of the bad emails.... Wild Apricot did not use good list management practices -- people who registered for events were automatically added to the contact list without an explicit opt-in, 2-factor authentication was not used, and some newsletters were sent without unsubscribe links. To make matters worse, to my knowledge the list had never been cleaned. I recently developed a new WordPress website for this client which replaced the functions provided by Wild Apricot (list management, newsletters, event management, etc.) I switched the newsletter & list manangement functions to MailPoet, which has much better practices. In order to use MailPoet, I had to clean the list, and Kickbox was one of the recommended service providers. Kickbox allowed me to quickly identify and remove bad email addresses before I imported the list into MailPoet. My client's contact list is now about 20% smaller than it was before, but the quality of the contacts is much higher. A recent newsletter had an open rate of 80.6% and a click rate of 18.5%, which is excellent! ### 49.
