My experience with Eggplant has been positive because I really find this tool to be very easy-to-use and learn for everyone even those that are not tech-savvy.This is a great tool and have all the capabilities to automate any type of application or system. What problems is Keysight Eggplant solving and how is that benefiting you? I am really impressed at how quick it is to get started with Eggplant. We used Eggplant Functional to implement an automation framework for some different systems. I love that we can make simple, common scripts that mimic real user/tester behavior, and then use those scripts to quickly build new test scenarios. We have also been able to quickly grow to cover many versions of GUI and WEB software via automated tests using built-in functionality that Eggplant offers. We regularly run full sets of automated tests against every release, leaving testers freer to be creative in extra manual testing. The ability to very quickly train many people over the years to use the tools, often with no programming background is nearly invaluable This allows testers (who are not interested in being developers because it is a different skill set) to make useful automated tests directly, which is something I have found lacking in most other tools I have used. Finally, the product has continued to grow and become more and more robust. Often, taking direct customer support questions and feedback and incorporating it into new software releases. But it is hard to even call that a dislike, because we are covering so much more in each test round due to easy to create test scripts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. We can quickly and confidently verify that new versions of our software have not suffered any regression in primary functionality. This allows our testers to focus more attention on new functionality and bug fixes, while getting releases out with more confidence in quality and with greater velocity. That is has both image identification capabilities and OCR Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Keysight Eggplant? The GUI window isn't editable. DAI test captures and stuff don't work. The executible license is only command line driven, it would be very nice if it has a GUI that you could pull up and schedule a test through, pass required parameters, etc. OR even allow the user to create a GUI window that is costume to the script being called in order to allow the user to configure and schedule a test for that script through it. The relaible outside in montioring, 24/7 of our key business websites. This provides us confidence that what Eggplant is loading is the same for the customer. Eggplant is a nice and easy-to-use test automation tool that improves software quality and quick returns on ROI. The vendor support is outstanding. Implementation was quick and require a very low learning curve. It allows us to create automated test scripts rapidly. It has enabled remote access and control of mobile devices for manual testing. Image/Text based testing is a wonderful feature provided by Eggplant. I am using it for the past 4 years and very satisfied. Initially I was working in Selenium and was little hesitant to move to Eggplant but the end result was surprising. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Keysight Eggplant? One thing I dislikes most is Eggplant is keep releasing but fixes version in a span of 2 or 3 months. Being and end user I would expect a mature version which have the major bug fixes and not very frequent. Also some of the OCR features won't work properly as expected. Once you have conducted your training its really easy to start automating even if you are a beginner. DAI models is a game changer when it comes to automating workflows of a web app. I also really like that fact that Keysight have listened to some of our needs like reporting and have continues to improve in this area. The image based object recognition works really well and the sensetalk code is easy to write and understand.
