It makes working between the devices super simple because it backs up the document to icloud. Also, Keynote is incredibly user-friendly with all the major features you would need in a presentation software simple to find. **What do you dislike about Keynote?** I do not like that the compatibility seems to be off with Microsoft Powerpoint. I can export my keynote file as a PowerPoint file extension, but it doesn't look quite the same. It is also super compatible with other presentation apps. If one of our employees writes some slides in Powerpoint, we can just drop those slides into Keynote with almost 0 compatibility issues. Editing is easy and the side bar is easy to navigate, making the task at hand more efficient. Images are easily resized. I like that I can collage multiple the way that I like, select all and move to be centered/middled in that same design. I'm all about making the best use of my time and this program's design seems developed witht that in mind. Not to mention the elements are sleek. Visuals are important to me when choosing software. **What do you dislike about Keynote?** The slide bleeds all the way to the edge of the program. I don't know if this will make sense to others, but visually it's confusing to me. I like to see the full slide with a border around it to know where to stop, not the edge of the window. I know that my image has fallen off the slide when I no longer see it in the window, but it makes me think it's still there and I need to scroll to see it. I also wouldn't mind if the color picker didn't stay up when I was done with is. **Recommendations to others considering Keynote:** It comes with your Apple device so I don't know why you wouldn't choose to use it unless you simply didn't have the option. I'm always a proponent of using Apple programs on Apple products when you can. **What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Keynote for all of my client presentations. The problem I solve is getting my content out of my brain and onto a document. I know that there are other programs that do similar what Keynote does, but they just aren't as easy to use to me. Another problem I'm solving is time management. I only have so many hours in the day and Keynote doesnt make me feel like I'm wasting them trying to figure out how to work the software. The benefit is I'm saving time and I don't need internet to complete presentations. ### 8. Since most of the team uses Mac, we are able to use the collaboration features within Keynote to create slides for our clients, it's super helpful. The layouts, notes, software is super robust, we have massive presentations that run very fast on our oldest machines. **What do you dislike about Keynote?** I do wish there was a more 'Google-Drive-esque' file management system, where I can easily browse and find my keynotes from anywhere, I think we can all agree that iCloud leave a lot to be desired there. Additionally, for the few team members who need to use the web-app on a Windows machine, it's very slow and clunky for them. When comparing Keynotes to Google Sheets, Keynotes is far more superior since it is not 100% free, because Keynotes is only available for MacOS users and is not available for purchase for Windows computer. However, when talking about Microsoft Powerpoint, even if you are a MacOS user, unlike Keynotes you will have to pay for it. Keynotes can basically do what Microsoft Powerpoint can do. However, what I like most about Keynotes would be the smoothness of the software. Since Keynotes is built by Apple and built just for its MacOS products, Keynotes run extremely smooth even for old Macbook or iMac like the Macbook Air 2015 that I'm using right now. Other than the smoothness, similar to other Apple products, the user experience in using it would be the best. Everything is easy to locate, looks modern, contains all the necessary features, and good looking slides design. **What do you dislike about Keynote?** The main thing that I dislike about Keynotes is sharing the presentation to non-Mac users. Therefore, I have to switch from using Keynotes to Powerpoint sometimes when I know that my audience or stakeholders only have Powerpoint or use Windows computer. Even though you can download files from Keynotes as PPTX, the format and animations set literally became a chaos. **Recommendations to others considering Keynote:** If everyone in your organization is using Mac, I believe that Keynotes would be the best presentation tool. However, if not everyone is using Mac, you might find some difficulties. **What problems is Keynote solving and how is that benefiting you?** In newer Macs, even though Keynote has to be downloaded from the AppStore, it's free and easy to download unlike Powerpoint. As previosly mentioned, first, Powerpoint is not free so that is already one benefit that I have realized. All Macs comes with a free presentation tool call Keynote. And, second, Keynote runs very smooth unlike Powerpoint on older Mac which lags so bad after the creation of couple of slides (15 - 20 on Macbook Air 2015 that I'm using right now). ### 11. I wish they'd remove some of the older ones and introduce fresh templates more often. This is a minor criticism, though, since I use a very small number of templates in my work. Compatibility with PowerPoint is okay. The formatting only changed slightly, and I found that I was able to easily tweak presentations that I had made in PowerPoint before. I also like the professional templates they offer, and it was fairly simple to upload different templates to use that they didn't already offer. I find that their animation settings are also more extensive than what I recalled from PowerPoint, and I was able to do more interesting things in my animation, and had more control over how they performed. **What do you dislike about Keynote?** Unfortunately the compatibility with other presentation software, although fairly good, wasn't perfect. I did have to go through and change some settings when I translated my presentations to Keynote. As long as you aren't simply reading from the slides, Keynote is a great tool that you can build off of. The built in templates are super helpful and because Keynote is less widely used, I think people are less likely to know that you used a template to get you started. **What do you dislike about Keynote?** The biggest limitation is obviously that Keynote is limited to Mac users only. I've also had some difficulties and messiness when coverting from Keynote to Powerpoint (something that inevitably happens if I have to share a doc or give it to someone to present for me. Additionally, the learning curve to start using Keynote if you are only used to PPT can be a bit tough. I definitely had to invest some extra time to get comfortable using it. Keynote is not as strong as Powerpoint in terms of data visualization.
