What do you like best about Kentico?

Ease of use and functionality. Being able to quickly and easily update content on our site, and the quick turnaround in it loading and becoming customer-facing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kentico?

I've been finding lately that some pages are unable to be edited due to errors; whether this is a Kentico issue or a company login issue, is currently being investigated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jonathan Kentico of Kentico

We're glad to hear that Kentico’s ease of use and fast content publishing are helping your team stay agile and responsive. Regarding the editing issues you’ve encountered, this could stem from either user permissions or page-specific configuration settings. We recommend checking the Event Log in Kentico for any error messages tied to those pages, and ensuring your user role has the appropriate Page Permissions and Workflow privileges.

If the issue persists, feel free to contact your Kentico administrator or submit a ticket through our 24/7 support portal. We're here to help you keep delivering timely content to your customers.

What do you like best about Kentico?

With move to .net core mvc, web development is finally nice again. Developing front facing app is as vanilla as it gets, if you build your app right, you don't even have to be aware it's talking to kentico. really, really enjoyable, after kentico 11 and portal engine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kentico?

2 months in and im still in honeymoon period. past projects were K11, so this is a breath of fresh air. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jonathan Kentico of Kentico

Love hearing this! Moving to .NET Core MVC really does open things up, and it’s great to see you're enjoying the clean separation and flexibility.

If you're this happy after two months, you’ll love what’s ahead—Xperience by Kentico takes that fresh-air feeling even further with its modern architecture and cloud-native approach. Definitely worth exploring for your next projects.

"Solid platform for a myriad of user personas"
4/5
What do you like best about Kentico?

From the stanpoint of an 8 year user of the Kentico Portal Engine model. It seems like K2 is going to be an even moreapractical solution for me in the role of a Website Editor User Support and Training specialist. Im can teach complete strangers how to edit their Kentico website information in one 30-60 training session. They are off the the races as Website Content Editors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kentico?

Still from the Portal Engine vantage point; (For my persona group of editors and users that build web apps or manage other websites on their own), the expectation for content editor area would have been something along the line of Code hinting and colored code blocks like VSCode. However from what i've noticed from watching the K2 videos, the source view code editing portion is no longer client facing anyway. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jonathan Kentico of Kentico

Thanks for sharing your long-term perspective! It's great to hear how effective Kentico has been for training and empowering content editors with minimal ramp-up. Your use of workflows, scheduling, and version control is exactly what the platform was built to support.

We appreciate the note about the editing experience—while source view is no longer client-facing in newer versions, we’re always exploring ways to enhance usability for power users like yours. Your input helps guide that evolution.
