As a loyal customer for over 10 years, I have upgraded several times. But discontinuing and changing such core features will make my next upgrade a complete nightmare. I have raised these concerns with Kentico support, but it seems like they don't really care enough to reconsider these changes. We are able to build a frontend in .Net 7 even if the backend is not yet ready for .Net 7 You are not limited to create your frontend and you are able to build a performent site if you use the cache correctly. **What do you dislike about Kentico?** Support, support, support. This Is the main issue with Kentico we cannot count on the support. It is doing a bit of everything but basically wich is good if don't have too much requirements but quickly you need to re-implement part of it to match your requirements. Example, you are able to send 200 000 newsletter but it will takes about 4 hours. **What problems is Kentico solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are building the sites of multiple cusomter. We can design, manage, and review our Kentico website through the platform and keep track of customer information, initiate e-mail campaigns, set up automation and personalization modules, and much more. Editing the website is very quick after a bit of training. It allows us to schedule updates ahead of time, where new content populates, and old content disappears—keeping us up-to-date and compliant. Since the launch of our new website, load speeds have vastly increased, and when paired with SEO efforts, our total number of sessions and user counts have sky-rocketed. **What do you dislike about Kentico?** Kentico is a versatile and robust system with a high price tag. The system takes a bit of training and practice to get used to, so it's harder to drop people with zero experience into the back end and expect them to pick up on it quickly. **What problems is Kentico solving and how is that benefiting you?** My organization had a website on one of the free platforms, but we were plagued with security scares, slow loading times, and an army of "mandatory" plugins. After researching a few vendors, we found one specializing in the Kentico system. To further extend Kentico's functionality, you can expose it's API and use this data on apps, other sites, you name it, extending its functionality even further. **What do you dislike about Kentico?** Kentico have a steeper learning curve when compared to a no-code platformlike Webflow, but I think it pays in the long run, as it gives you ultimate flexibility and unlimited growth potential. **What problems is Kentico solving and how is that benefiting you?** Kentio solves a number of content management issues, such as reusable components, and a really comprehensive content and marketing management set of controls. If you require a CMS/XP platform that utlizes the .Net stack - you can't do much better. ### 22. The menus are intuitive, the interface is easy, and everything works smoothly. I've worked with a number of other CMS's (Wordpress, Umbraco) and I like Kentico above others. It's also very secure and is updated very often, which is a huge plus for us as a financial institution. **What do you dislike about Kentico?** Kentico changed their model from a license to a subscription and now insist on raising the annual cost by a minimum of 10%, all the way up to 25%. We've been customers for over 10 years, but they do not care about customer loyalty or relationships, just about money. I could create new page types and templates to support structured web pages, and then I could have other pages where I just edited the HTML of the page or added custom widgets - so easy to make great pages. Forms, emarketing, and analytics were all linked up so easily, making it a breeze to be able to extend the functionality of the website. Kentico allowed the developer to concentrate on developing new apps - while creating pages, templates and even new page types could be done without coding skills. **What do you dislike about Kentico?** Kentico has a great feature where you can group all your changes made to your staging site together in a group, and then you can sync them all over to the live website. Managing those groups could be better - one wrong save and the item suddenly can be in the wrong task group. It would be good if they introduced a better way to manage these groups and control what objects go in - maybe manually fix mistakes. It is an excellent feature that could do with a UI upgrade to make it less annoying when the human makes a mistake. **What problems is Kentico solving and how is that benefiting you?** We moved from a sharepoint website to Kentico - it made it so much easier for me to add new content, to change layouts of content, to optimise pages for SEO and performance was better too. ### 25.
