Be it Page management, Custom modules or the settings application along with the option of customization **What do you dislike about Kentico?** When the customization gets too tricky and not supported by their documentation, it needs a paid consultation which is a bit costly for us as developers :( **What problems is Kentico solving and how is that benefiting you?** Its easy to use, easy to manage content and always there's room for customization if the defacto doesn't suits your requirement. **Official Response from Kentico Team:** > Thank you for sharing your experience! It's incredibly easy to create pages, organize content, and create a truly special and dynamic website made for various audiences. Kentico also offers many marketing tools we do not use, such as email automation. **What do you dislike about Kentico?** I dislike the uncertain future of using Kentico as an on prem solution. Xperience 13 is a quality product that we have been able to use exceptionally well within our organization. With the sunsetting of support for Xperience 13, we are being put in a situation where we have to move our content to Xperience by Kentico. Xperience by Kentico is missing many things that Xperience 13 has and it functions differently from a structural standpoint. It is frustrating to have a product we like so well and then be forced to move to a new product that we're not even sure we can use. **What problems is Kentico solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are able to create multiple websites with varying degrees of personalization and functionality. **Official Response from Jonathan Kentico:** > Thank you for sharing your experience, it’s great to hear how effective Xperience 13 has been for your team, especially in delivering personalized, multi-site experiences with strong marketing capabilities. I have to stay logged in on a separate firefox browser. It often glitches and does not have a very easy file organization system. **What problems is Kentico solving and how is that benefiting you?** It doesn't solve a problem, per say. Visually the CMS is great. **What do you dislike about Kentico?** Out of the box, there is no component to start a website. Everything needs to be done. + support is not really helpful **What problems is Kentico solving and how is that benefiting you?** We managed a multi language website with a dynamic content provided by the cms. ### 5. We have established structures that send automatic mail to the software team in case of errors, work with specified periods of data in our different systems, move them to the database, and display them on the website. We can create a new page and get it live in less than an hour. **What do you dislike about Kentico?** When you work with a developing team that does not have detailed information about Kentico, error rates increase. You can reflect incorrect data to the live environment, and you may have problems with error logging and staging. We may have problems with images uploaded from the admin panel. It can get 404 errors due to the links of the created pages. Working with an experienced team is the key to success for Kentico. **What problems is Kentico solving and how is that benefiting you?** We developed our company's website with Kentico. We are able to meet the demands of our business unit by making content management and improvements. We can provide a quick service in creating new pages. By first viewing our content in the test environment, we can make sure that the correct data is transferred to the live environment. Our content entry efforts have decreased. We can easily move our files that can change frequently, such as visual and front face codes, to the live environment. We also plan to use it for customer tracking. ### 6. Could create corporate sites that was easy to use by content users. Created multiple regional and international sites on the same brand. Created custom user portals that allowed partners to integrate into our site. **What do you dislike about Kentico?** Since the dot net changes, they have chosen to completely outsource the modules so that it no longer has basic functionality. Since any functional modules are not official and from different groups, we cannot utilize it due to internal policies. Each individual is considered a separate vendor. Instead of having a robust core to build off of, we now must build our own modules that are no longer in the off the shelf framework. Since we have to build a new framework from scratch we are looking at other frameworks. **Recommendations to others considering Kentico:** If you want to build modules for other companies, get into Kentico. **What problems is Kentico solving and how is that benefiting you?** Creating a robust system that we can service and control and allows easy content updates to technical level users. ### 10. Could definitely use helpful tips near every actionable item instead of having to go to a whole different site and sift through categories to get some answers. **What problems is Kentico solving and how is that benefiting you?** Easily create new marketing landing pages. Synchronization of tasks continues to have issues and often lags or doesn't run at all. Could be an issue with our provider, though. **What problems is Kentico solving and how is that benefiting you?** Communication channels are opened because of this tool.
