What do you like best about Keboola?

The most helpful thing about Keboola is its simple usage. In our BI department, we don't have many senior positions, mostly we are looking for people with junior / mid-level tech stack and on the other side with great attitude, hard workers and high motivation in self-education. In this case Keboola is a great tool. In its simplicity, people learn to work with tools quickly and they don't need a senior tech stack. Of course i need to mention your help center, which helps our people to figure out their problems really quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Keboola?

I must say just one thing and it is sandbox interface. I liked the old one - every transformation had a unique sandbox. I was able to fix a code quickly. For me with the new workspaces, it is not that easy. Because of new transformations which includes every phases of all data pipeline transformations you need load all input data. Besides workspace has new interface which is pretty complicated. One thing i hate the most. You need to use schema in every query in worskspace and after that you need to delete that schema when you are finish. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Zdenek Linc of Keboola

Hello Luboš, thank you for a great review. Regarding the transformations we are sorry to hear that. We are trying to improve our platform while bringing new features concerning our users and use cases. While doing so, sometimes, we have to let go of old working concepts. We are not switching off the old transformation, so you can still use them however you will be missing out on all new features related to new transformations. Also, we are working on bringing dbt transformation into keboola which would bring more flexibility and robustness to transformations job and could mitigate the usage problems you are describing.

What do you dislike about Keboola?

Sometimes fails (but it could be on "third" side), some UX features, migration of transformations :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Keboola?

The amount of various connectors and the overall variability and simplicity of use. The support is also superb and reacts very quicky. Another great thing is the documentation to almost anything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Keboola?

I do not enjoy some UX features and changes in the new UI which I find rather user-unfriendlier than the older one - mostly searching in transformations, the overall transformation section, the query box etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Keboola?

The variety of extractors and how easy to setup they are Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Keboola?

The lack of a testing framework for data

The storage layer makes it very difficult to access and debug data coming in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Zdenek Linc of Keboola

Hi, Inês thanks for the lovely review.

To your pain points:

The currently supported option is to use a custom component for data quality. With recently added dbt support, we are looking to support dbt_expectations, getre.io or elementary-data.com.

If you want to develop a new flow, you can use development branches in Keboola and test everything before merging changes into production.

Regarding accessing and debugging data within the storage, I'd love to learn more, please get in touch via the feedback button in the product. Your feedback will be valuable, as always. Thanks a lot.

What do you like best about Keboola?

Friendliness of the platform and the people, straight forward user experience. Transparency of pricing. The fact that it replaces multiple services with whom we would have to communicate and pay separately. I lead a team working with Keboola and they love working in it. Keboola managed to automize routine work of building data warehouses and the team can focus on more interesting work with data and analyses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Keboola?

From the point of view of the business data leader: nothing. No complaints from the team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Zdenek Linc of Keboola

Ease of use and robustness of the solution - always available and always good to get support. The flexibility is great and we could not operate without it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Keboola?

Would be great if we could configure webhooks in Keboola and being able to easily trigger orchestrations from salesforce. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Zdenek Linc of Keboola

Hi Simon, thanks for the lovely review. I think you will be happier even more. Triggering the orchestrations - it's doable. We internally also use it with Salesforce. So feel free to contact our support so we can help you with that :-)
