Language settings include 34 languages for front and back matter. Language and script support vary by workflow and export format, with some options marked eBook only; check the product language settings before preparing files for publication. Start from a book idea, import your own manuscript, or work with an existing print-ready interior. Supported projects include fiction, nonfiction, children's books, memoirs, cookbooks, business books, workbooks, puzzles, coloring books, journals, and planners. Authors remain involved throughout the process: review the outline, edit individual chapters, lock approved text, and check the finished files before publication. The six-phase workflow covers research and planning, a book blueprint and outline, manuscript drafting, editing and review, cover and interior preparation, and a downloadable publishing package. The design studio offers editable cover templates, layers, typography controls, and AI tools for artwork generation and retouching. Interior tools help authors organize chapters and prepare formatted book pages. Depending on the book type and workflow, a package can include a print-ready interior PDF, paperback cover wrap, ebook cover, text-free cover art, book description, back-cover copy, keywords, categories, author bio, and an upload checklist. Authors download, review, and upload their files to their chosen publishing service, such as Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, or Lulu. KDP Builder does not publish books on an author's behalf through these exports.
