## About KDevelop
KDevelop is a free, open source IDE (Integrated Development Environment) for Linux, Solaris, FreeBSD, Mac OS X and other Unix flavors. It is a feature-full, plugin extensible IDE for C/C++ and other programming languages. It is based on KDevPlatform, and the KDE and Qt libraries and is under development since 1998.

**What do you like best about KDevelop?**

KDevelop is a free, open-source IDE for KDE users. Also, it has a feature-full plugin extensible IDE for PHP, Python, C, C++ and more.

**What do you dislike about KDevelop?**

Sometimes it gets slow and has poor customer support, but nowadays, it works fine.

**What problems is KDevelop solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It improved the quality and also the productivity of the code.

Kdevelop is free to use for computer operating systems

It takes time to load and opens slowly few times

It is helping me in editing programming language.

**What do you like best about KDevelop?**

Its code completion feature and the variety of plugins if offers are extremely helpful.

**What do you dislike about KDevelop?**

I couldnt find any downsides of KDevelop as such.

**What problems is KDevelop solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I do coding for competitive programming in Kdevelop. Its version control and code completion feature helps me write programs faster.

**What do you like best about KDevelop?**

KDevelop has a clean interface. Its GUI debugger is great, and beats gdb hands down.

**What do you dislike about KDevelop?**

The GUI debugger does not expose advanced features of gdb. Workaround: it is possible to execute gdb commands directly.

**Recommendations to others considering KDevelop:**

If you are still using emacs or vim, give KDevelop a try.

**What problems is KDevelop solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was doing research and development on Linux as a research assistant. With the GUI interface of KDevelop, I was able to develop and debug code more quickly than in a text editor such as emacs.

KDevelop it's a perfect IDE for KDE users.

KDevelop offer:
 - support for most popular programming languages like PHP, Python, C, C++ and more...
 - integration with most popular CVS like Git, SVN and Mercurial
 - auto-completion, syntax highlight and debugger
 - better integration with KDE technology (eg. KPart, KWrite/Kate)

**What do you dislike about KDevelop?**

KDevelop sometimes is slow to during the project scanning

**What do you like best about KDevelop?**

It's the only IDE that has C++ code completion and refactoring that isn't as slow as in Eclipse. I also like it comes with Ruby support which I use daily.

**What do you dislike about KDevelop?**

Building the project is cumbersome, but, again, most other IDE's out there provide similar experience

**Recommendations to others considering KDevelop:**

KDevelop is hidden gem, make sure to evaluate it.

**What problems is KDevelop solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it for my daily Ruby/Rails development tasks, and occasionally for C++ development.
