It's super easy to pick up, you can start using it quickly without a deep learning curve. The community support is excellent, so getting help with any problem is fast and simple. Sometimes the IDE becomes a bit slow when opening large projects or when too many browser drivers are configured. I was a Selenium user since a long time. While exploring the Katalon features, I found it very easy to use with almost no maintenance effort. Below are few benefits which I have noticed while using Katalan so far.

It has many important benefits compare to any other automation tool available in the market. However, Free versions has limited features, and it’s not free for enterprise uses. So, team find it difficult to switch from other free tool to Katalon. So may be more features can be included in free version for more effective use for small teams. Katalon is the easiest and fastest Test Automation platform to onboard new QA Engineers. It also doesn't require backend engineering experience. Most Front-End Developers can be introduced to Katalon and be writing well written tests within 2 - 4 weeks. Because of this, we have adopted Katalon as our standard automation QA testing platform accross all our family of companies, which includes 7 companies to date.

The Katalon managed selenium libraries allow for QA Engineers to focus on expanding test coverage, and not the backend QA code.

The Record feature is basically useless. It's just a gimick to get non-developers interested. But soon as you use this on slightly dynamic AUT, this feature writes bad test objects.
