What I like most about Katalon Studio is that it is a very complete and versatile tool. It allows you to carry out various types of testing, it allows you to upload the results of the execution of a Test Suite to the cloud, specifically on the Katalon TestOps platform, where you can easily see how the execution of each Test Case turned out. What I dislike about Katalon is that I cannot run the Test Suites in CLI format if because I use the free version without a KRE license, therefore I cannot perform Continuous Integration, which is one of the most frequently performed activities today for agile and large-scale projects. One of the challenges I find with Katalon Platform is that while it's very user-friendly for basic automation, some advanced customizations (like handling dynamic XPaths, complex API chaining, or deeply customized reporting) require more manual effort or scripting than expected. To sum it up:

-You need to download large software packages like Android Studio (multiple GBs) and XCode for iOS (which alone takes around 12GB just for the simulator pack)

- The platform requires at least version 18 of Node to be compatible, and Katalon doesn’t manage/notify about this automatically. Without the correct version, even after installing everything, I ran into issues where tests simply don’t run.

- One of Katalon's biggest limitations is the lack of native real device testing support. It doesn’t offer real-device testing on its own unless you integrate it with a third-party service, and the only direct integration available is with BrowserStack Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
