This is especially useful when dealing with sophisticated test scenarios that require custom scripting beyond the simple record-and-playback methods. The integrated features are great, especially the object repository management and the seamless CI/CD integration. Another aspect I appreciate about Katalon is its supportive community. While using the free version of Katalon Studio, I didn’t have access to 24/7 customer support, but the Katalon forum became a valuable resource. Performance can be a bit slow when dealing with very large test suites. Also, while trying to see test results in real time, it can be quite troublesome when reporting in Katalon TestOps sometimes vanishes or is severely lagged. Katalon Studio is easy to learn and gives beginner to advanced automation testers an arena to execute basic to complex test scenarios. Katalon TestOps offers the reporting and analysis we need to identify issues on our products and manage our automation setup. **What do you dislike about Katalon?** The Visual Testing part of the platform could use some improvements - such as being able to manage baseline collections a bit easier and making the screenshot mechanism a bit more stable. We cannot currently use the API offerings of the tool as we store our projects in Gitlab and there is no way to encrypt API tokens as variables so this isn't good from a security perspective. **What problems is Katalon solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our regression and smoke testing collections are extensive and take a long time to execute manually - which historically created a bottleneck in our delivery cycles and also kept QA's focus not on new enhancements and fixes but on existing functionality. We have automated all of our regression and smoke tests using Katalon and now we don't have this issue anymore - which now means we have faster release cycles, improved QA focus on new enhancements and fixes and overall better quality. ### 15. I didn’t find it difficult to follow courses provided by Katalon or tutorials on YouTube. Even though I don’t come from an IT background and have limited coding knowledge, Katalon has been very helpful throughout my three years of work. It also played a big role in helping me transition from a manual tester to an automation tester. **What do you dislike about Katalon?** What I don’t like about Katalon is the mobile integration. I’ve found it quite difficult to use Katalon for mobile automation, whether it's for Android or iOS, especially when it's assigned by my supervisor. I’ve faced many challenges working with mobile testing. On top of that, since I’m based in Indonesia, most local tutorials are focused on web automation, not mobile. Even when I do find mobile-related learning resources, I often struggle to follow them. **What problems is Katalon solving and how is that benefiting you?** With automation, I’m definitely helped when it comes to repetitive testing tasks. The amount of time that is essentially saved by being able to capture page objects with a simple click followed by replicating a users actions through the record button and then convert that into a test case is remarkable. Katalon essentially enables you to focus on the bigger picture while reducing the efforts taken in setting up complex page classes and validating plus writing up page objects. **What do you dislike about Katalon?** Although the benefits outweigh the negatives, if any, I would say a useful addition to Katalon Studio would be making the the Studio Assist AI provide suggestions to the code on its own instead of the user having to specifically highlight a section of the code and have it provide the output.
