**What do you like best about Kastle?**

Kastle provides a reliable, user-friendly access control system that is easy to implement and manage across multiple tenants. The electronic keypads and access management significantly reduce physical key issues, streamline move-ins and vendor access, and improve overall security. Customer support is responsive, and the system integrates well into daily property management operations, making it a tool we rely on frequently.

**What do you dislike about Kastle?**

Certain requests require coordination through support rather than self-service, which can slow things down. Initial setup and changes may take longer than expected depending on the property and scope. More customization and faster turnaround times for updates would improve the overall experience.

**What problems is Kastle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kastle is assisting our tenants with electronic keypads. This is benefiting us in Property Management because our tenants can manage access more efficiently, reduce reliance on physical keys, and streamline move-ins, move-outs, and vendor access.

**What do you like best about Kastle?**

I appreciate that Kastle is highly regarded in the access control space and provides a reliable solution for our building access needs. They are easy to reach when issues arise, which is really valuable for us. Their flexibility and understanding of both larger and smaller buildings, as well as complicated projects, make them an excellent partner. It's particularly helpful that I can call them whenever I need assistance. The initial setup was easy, and their cameras have been simple to install and use, with no issues.

**What do you dislike about Kastle?**

I think what could be improved is the sales side of things. There are too many people involved who do not have holistic knowledge, so specific questions start getting very complicated when so many people are involved.

Kastle solves our access control problem, managing building entry times for different tenants.

**What do you like best about Kastle?**

I really like the immediate control and flexibility of scheduling doors to unlock and lock, as it is very efficient. The Kastle app is an incredibly useful tool for both our regular staff and guests. Additionally, the web GUI is user-friendly and makes it easy to address issues or audit door schedules. The security system's accessibility via phone allows a high volume of guests to access the facility securely. I'm also impressed with the quick and convenient customer service. The initial setup was very easy, thanks to the knowledgeable and helpful technicians.

**What do you dislike about Kastle?**

There are infrequent issues with the app where it fails to work or is not as responsive. However, a reset of the app typically fixes it.

**What problems is Kastle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kastle solves safety and security concerns with 24/7 monitoring and prevents unauthorized access. It reduces staffing issues by securing areas when personnel are away. The app-supported entry is efficient for staff and guests, with user-friendly service to address issues or audit door schedules.

**What do you like best about Kastle?**

We recently upgraded our readers and it has and was the best thing that has happened.  I loved the fast service and the attention that was given to me to support my staff.  They also did a presentation for my staff with Q&A regarding the upgrade.  Highly recommend Kastle to everyone in my network of friends. The staff is very professional and helpful when I need assistance and also showed me how to find and enter people in the sytem for the readers. Very helpful and professional and nice customer service! Very easy to use the system, I use it daily.  We have 2 readers and it was easy.

**What do you dislike about Kastle?**

I wish Kastle offered the download to Apple watch customers for easy access as well.

**What problems is Kastle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Kastle, we gain both security and greater awareness of who is visiting our suite and who is not permitted entry. Additionally, I can generate various reports detailing all employees who have access to our suite.

**What do you like best about Kastle?**

It's very convenient for employees that work at the site. The Kastle card is my preference with just a quick tap on the sensor, you're in. The app is also a nice touch if you forget your card.

**What do you dislike about Kastle?**

I don't like that one time guests have to download an app on their phones to access the suite. Even though it's generally a pretty simple process, we get so many complaints about people having to download an app that they'll use once. We have a lot of one time visitors for conferences and it's always an issue. We also have issues with the app saying "no access assigned" and not allowing our guests to access. I think technology can always be a bit of a pain.

**What problems is Kastle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being on the highest floor of a high rise building with a view, we get a lot of strangers coming to our floor to check out the view. Kastle helps us by keeping unwanted guests out and manages our visitors.

**What do you like best about Kastle?**

We moved into a new building in July of 2019.  We had never had a security system before coming to this new building.  Everything is always a smooth transition or process.  We have our security badges linked to the Kastle system as well.  We have an app on our phone and everything works without issues.  We can make changes in the portal or contact Kastle if needed.  It's nice to know our equipment and suite is protected when we leave each night.  If our alarm trips for one reason or antoher (usually a security check of the doors at night), the person who calls is very pleasant and nice.

**What do you dislike about Kastle?**

So far, we have not found a dislike to Kastle.  All of our questions get answered in a timely matter.  If we have an issue, it's taken care of immediately.

**What problems is Kastle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're secure at night and that helps with the random break-ins we have had at our old building in the past.  We are able to assign each employee with a badge for elevator and door entry.  It is a quick process to have them deactivated should they leave the company (for various reasons).

The customer service and the product is easy to use! The integration process was essentially seamless and painless. 

The Bluetooth card readers are great because it eliminates the cost of physical fobs.

Sometimes it takes longer than I would expect to resolve an issue. However, their team extremely communicative .

During the install, their new intercom system was smaller than the original and they're finding an extension plate to cover up the wallpaper.

**What do you like best about Kastle?**

I find the mobile app very convenient, especially now that we can do multiple intervals for unlocking doors, which is something we use regularly. With everyone having their phones, we don't need to assign or maintain records on cards or fobs to the same extent. I like that we have different schedules for various users and can check access on who used the app.

**What do you dislike about Kastle?**

We have a staff member that hasn't been able to successfully install the My2N system. The audio on My2N is not always good either.

I use Kastle for mobile access control, eliminating the need for cards or fobs. It allows remote door unlocking via phones and lets us schedule doors to lock or unlock, which is super convenient.

Kastle makes managing entry to our suite very easy. With a mostly remote team, it really helps that the door can be controlled from anywhere. It keeps our suite both secure and accessible every day.

I have to admit, our initial installation came with some bugs. They had to come out and fix it a couple of times. Once those were worked out, it's been working great.

Our team is ever evolving, so having physical keys for everyone just isn't realistic. I like that I can manage who has access from my computer and remove people easily when I need to.

**What do you like best about Kastle?**

I like the Castle Presence app available on my phone because it allows me to access the office even if I've left my access card elsewhere. This app provides me with the flexibility to enter the server room and other restricted areas without hassle. Additionally, I appreciate the reliability of Kastle as it has been effectively integrated into the infrastructure of several places where I've worked. Its consistent presence and dependable functionality demonstrate its value. The administrative portal effectively performs the necessary tasks, and whenever a situation exceeds its capabilities, the support service is efficient in addressing and resolving issues.

**What do you dislike about Kastle?**

I dislike that the admin portal does not allow more options for customization. Specifically, when organizing big meetings, I can't extend the default time for door unlocks beyond sixty minutes without having to call support. It's inconvenient and I wish I could handle these tasks on the admin side independently.

I use Kastle for remote access and permission management, ensuring smooth entry to secure areas. The Kastle Presence app on my phone enables me to access restricted areas without a key, enhancing my flexibility and efficiency.

**What do you like best about Kastle?**

I really appreciate the effectiveness of Kastle in ensuring the safety of our building. The presence of cameras and security guards offered by Kastle is something I particularly like, as it significantly enhances surveillance and the security of our premises. The cameras allow us to monitor who comes in and goes out, providing a sense of control and safety. The security guards complement this by offering on-the-ground security presence. For our convenience, the system also allows us to provide access to visitors without the need to be physically available at the front desk, adding to the efficiency and convenience of building management. Furthermore, I found the initial setup of Kastle very easy, which speaks to its user-friendly nature. Overall, Kastle's features are integral to our security setup, providing us with a robust and reliable solution.

I'm concerned about the pricing of Kastle.

**What do you like best about Kastle?**

I love that we have a rep. that is helpful, friendly, and fast! Kirby is great! I like that I feel safe regarding the after-hours security calls. The website for Admins is user-friendly, and I like the app and camera website.

**What do you dislike about Kastle?**

Some cell phones have strong Bluetooth ranges, and even when the person physically turns down their range, a scanner will still turn green when the person is not trying to enter that area or move in that direction. This leads to the access for those doors to stay open for a period of time, which, for us, can allow non-employees to enter the front doors before ringing the doorbell. 
So far, I have found that this issue is only true with Samsung devices. I did not like that the option to remedy this was for all the scanners in the office to be put on a status where the person would have to open their app to utilize their Bluetooth/phone to enter. This is why we didn't switch to that option. As phones get more advanced, I wanted to bring this to your attention as an ongoing issue.

We can see who is coming and going with the cameras. I like that there is a doorbell to help notify us when someone is here.

The fobs are not always responsive to our security doors and this can cause issues within our suite.

I guess there are some things they do well.

**What do you dislike about Kastle?**

I don't have the ability to directly configure unlocking doors on days we have meetings.  Instead, I have to write an email requesting the times/dates, get an email backing saying they got my email, wait for a second email to learn whether they have processed my request or have questions.  This feels cumbersome and inefficient.  
Also,  I do not have a way to edit/update permissions associated with our organization's badge/id holders.  Spontaneously, a colleague's access to the fitness center is revoked, occasionally the same thing happens with access to the suite.  I then have to reach out to building management, who then contacts Kastle, and the issue gets resolved.  It's unsettling, especially since I work part time and am not always on site to resolve access issues in a timely manner.

They are not. I have been unable to directly control suite access (unlocking doors) for over a year, and tried for a year before that.

I like that we can customize it to match the fields we need to search, and that we can link it to a primary list so it’s easy to add or remove employees and contractors as needed.

**What do you dislike about Kastle?**

The costs feel highly repetitive, and managing multiple sites is difficult—especially when different teams aren’t aligned on the type of service we’re used to and I’m expecting.

**What problems is Kastle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They resolved with the help of my IT team:
1.  Deactivating badges for people that are no longer with the company is now automated. The now are deactivated using the end date field. 
2. We have a badge request app that makes supervisors responsible for approving access requests. 
3. I now have remote access to controllables so that I can work remotely.

I really appreciate how easy the access systems are to use, while still offering strong functionality. Setting schedules is straightforward as well. Our rep has been great—always responsive and quick to provide solutions whenever any issues come up.

Our tenants sometimes run into Bluetooth issues when using the phone app, although it seems to vary depending on the operating system.

We had previous issues with an outdated access system. Since bringing them on, the entire system has been revamped and the process is seamless from start to finish.

easy to manage remotely, I can easily use mobile devices to unlock doors enter to my office through the app. very connivance.

Tends to be more expensive than many other security providers

We don’t need to use physical keys anymore, so we don’t worry about lost or copied keys. Instead, we use keycards or phones to open doors, which is easier and safer. We can also control who can enter the building from anywhere. This helps a lot when we need to give or remove access quickly for employees or visitors. The system also has cameras, so we can see who comes in and out, and check video if something happens. Kastle watches our building 24/7. If there is anything unusual, they let us know right away. This keeps our building safe and gives us peace of mind.

**What do you like best about Kastle?**

The Kastle Client Services Support Team is simply amazing!  I appreciate their responsiveness in resolving issues.  Their team is professional, courteous and extremely helpful.

**What do you dislike about Kastle?**

My main concern is the slow response time to reported issues. Kastle does send an acknowledgement email once a report is received, and they typically reply within the same day. However, there have been several instances where I had to wait more than 30 minutes for a response after reaching out to support.

**What problems is Kastle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Previously, Kastle installed a security and access control system in the three stairwells that lead to our office. This system has proven to be extremely valuable. With their Kastle cards, staff members are able to enter the office directly from the stairwells. This capability is especially reassuring, as it enhances our sense of security in emergency situations.

Sometimes the tech is not clear on how to resolve issues, but they eventually figure it out.

**What problems is Kastle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The door mags sometimes do not work. It is not Kastle's fault. When we moved into our building, the building management used DataWatch and did we. In 2021, the building switched to Kastle and we did too; although our equipment for our primary doors was still Datawatch. The mags started to fail and Kastle had to order the parts, and install them, which took some time.

Our rep, the quick response time and willingness to troubleshoot has made a big difference.

Nothing that stands out, overall the experience has been positive.

We haven’t had any major issues, but when we added the check-in/check-out badging service, our rep was extremely responsive and helpful. When the badge wasn’t working properly during installation, they jumped in quickly to help troubleshoot and get things resolved, which made the process smooth for us.

I find Kastle easy to use, which really makes a difference for our team. The communication is straightforward, and the app itself is fairly easy to use, which adds to the convenience.

The timeliness and response can be inconsistent, sometimes they're within a couple of seconds, and then sometimes a couple of hours after an alarm goes off.

Kastle is helpful when adding visitors to our building. Our organization has incorporated it into their elevators and I also use Kastle to access the building with my smart phone which is easy and convenient. I use it everyday.

Our security guards rely very heavily on Kastle. If there is a glitch and they are unable to find the visitor we entered, they are not let up even when permitted.

Kastle is solving the issue of having to vet every person who wants to enter our building.

I like that Kastle is a turnkey solution from design, installation and implementation.  The usability of their product is simple and user friendly.

**What do you dislike about Kastle?**

Kastle has a mandatory maintenance program but it is worth the expense to have the level of customer service that they provide.

The ability to use the app rather than manage physical cards creates efficiencies!  having everything webbased instead of having to physically be at a desktop to make changes is cutting edge.  We love Kastle for so many reasons!

Kastle has provided our office peace of mind. The ability to keep our office secure, while also ensuring the intended personnel have easy access is incredibly valuable to our team. Many of our team members also appreciate the flexibility of using their phones to access the building via Bluetooth.

At times the admin site can be glitchy and we have encountered delays in responses from customer service teams.

The website can be finicky and frequently has issues saving the changes I make within a profile. For example, sometimes when I make 2 changes to a profile (add a floor access and change an email for example) then click save, I will get an error message saying only one change was saved and I have to go back and redo.

Security around the building and keeping certain areas off limits.

Kastle is very organized and has been a game changer when it comes to badge access and reports. I enjoy the depth that this platform brings where I am able to successfully complete various types of requests asked of me.

There isn't necessarily anything that I do not like. I am not fond of the quick logout time period that is given, but that is such a small issue.

Kirby Peek has been my saving grace, truly. He is always available to assist with any requests or asks that I am not sure of. He has taken the time to walk me through situations and is truly such a big help when I need it most! Kastle in general assists with complex badge access requests and I really enjoy getting to run reports in different ways.

**What do you like best about Kastle?**

They are on point anytime we reach out with a request. Once submitted, consider it handled as they are quick to address any requests whether it be for support or a quote at a new site, we never need to follow up with them, they keep us informed. Our main site is very simple to manage with the myKastle portal, most of our issues have ended up being User error or an oversite on our end. Their support is top tier and their install teams are quick, professional, and are more than willing to go the extra mile to ease the integration during the implementation.

**What do you dislike about Kastle?**

They control what hardware you can and can't use at your site. While there are good reasons for this sometimes, the markup in the access control industry is on a whole different level and the inventory and programming software is tightly controlled.

**What problems is Kastle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We keep all of our doors locked 24/7, no badge = no access. 

We have taken then burden off our front staff by putting them behind a badged door and a phone in the lobby for visitors to call their company sponser to let them in. No sales people just walking around the office looking for someone to sell a product to that no one requested.

**What do you like best about Kastle?**

Kastle is a great service for our tenants at our building. The system is intuitive, reliable, and works efficiently across all entry points. Ongoing use over the last several years has been virtually maintenance free, and when we've had any issues, customer support has been responsive and knowledgeable. The ease of setup for application access is very helpful with businesses that have high turnover in their staff. It's clear that a lot of thought went into designing a system that feels natural and easy to use for everyone.

**What do you dislike about Kastle?**

If I had one complaint about Kastle, it would be some of the UX involved with setting up cards, groups, and changing access times. I feel like that could be improved in the future, but it functions well for the time being. And really, that's me reaching for something to dislike.

Kastle allows for our building to have multiple access points and groups. This helps us contain the access provided to separate tenants who may share common areas, and makes it easy for us to manage a high volume of users.

Your team develops a good placement plan, your installers are prepared, your monitoring crew stays active, so my favorite part of working with Kastle is the consistant attention and professionalism at each level.

I don't have a lot to complain about, but it took a while to explain why I had 2 cameras going down when power was out. I think everyone there eventually knew why that was happening.

we are in a high crime area and with the voice feature, you get about as much deterant as you can without acutally having someone sit here.

We are in Canada, they have wonderful service, but getting a technician in is a bit of a challenge and any parts are not available locally, have to wait for them to come across the boarder

ensuring our space is secure. They monitor our doors for alarms and send quick notifications of an incident. The panic buttons have a quick response time.

It's so convenient to have an app on your phone rather than needing to carry a keycard everywhere.

There are days when using the app can be unreliable, as you sometimes have to open it just to access a door or lift. Even when you are standing right in front of the door, it may display a 'reader out of range' message, which can be frustrating.

We haven't had any real problems but when i have contact Kastle for support they have always been helpful.

Kastle has great features with regards to card access security and cameras. The links are easy to use for both card access and Kastle video.

**What do you dislike about Kastle?**

The accuracy of the features are sometimes in question. I understand that things aren't perfect though so we work with it. When I bring it up to Kastle reps, they always take the feedback and look into the issue. The cost is also something to note but it's reasonable for the quality of the product.

**What problems is Kastle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kastle helps us identify transients and activity throughout the building that we are not always physically present for. We are able to identify gaps in our security and the footage helps us find out what happened.

Kastle software is easy to use, allowing end users to add and remove personnel and run reports on the system's status. When there is an issue, the customer service staff is very polite and helpful.

The only issue I have had is when ordering supplies, and being a tax-exempt institution, we have had to go back and get the tax removed and credited back.

Have experienced some delay in tech arriving on site when there has been a problem.

Security is our biggest benefit.  Ease of use of the system is helpful.   Cell phone credentials a big positive.  Visitor management is a nice feature but we haven't utilized due to limited number of visitors we have come to our site.
