The detection of ransomware is quite effective, very precise. Clearly, the pro (paid) version is much better than the free one, the latter is limited to very basic protection and will not protect your data in the ideal way, while the paid version is complete protection, offering all the modules and functionalities needed to protect your personal machine or organization from a ransomware attack. Perhaps the only thing would be the fact of having to register with Kaspersky before being able to use the product, often users want (myself included) to simply use the protection without the need to create an account as other anti-malware solutions allow. Primarily and basically being able to be protected either individually, in your home, your family, or in an organization. Ransomware is one of the most dangerous malware in existence, especially when vital information is involved such as passwords, other personal data, or in the case of organizations, for example, lists of suppliers, employees, banks, etc... with Kaspersky Anti-Ransomware Tool there is a great margin of security to prevent your computer from being hijacked by an attacker, it also helps to prevent human errors from triggering major problems. Kaspersky has an excellent user interface and works seamlessly with the default security features of Windows. It has a breakneck scanning speed for removable drives like pen drives, memory cards, etc. It is also faster in autodetecting possible threats (like .cmd files) and neutralizing them compared to other market leaders in this segment. The full scan of the system is very time-consuming, even with very little data present in the machine. The password manager is tedious to work with and often not comaptable with main browsers like Chrome & Edge, thus have forced me to disable it on my system. It often accidently blocks some websites since they looks suspicious but I am pretty confident they are not, thus causing serious difficulties often. User alse gets updates very frequently thus causing unwanted data consumption. The free version is a disaster to use since it will be flooded with popups to purchase the original edition. The best thing I like about the Kaspersky Anti-Ransomware tool is the small download size which helped me download and install it in less than 10 minutes. Even though I have a fast internet connection, I believe this would help those with slower internet connections with data caps. Using an I3 CPU with 4 GB RAM it was vital for me to find a tool that did not take up a lot of memory power, and this tool did a great job of working in the background without slowing my computer. Finally, the Kaspersky Anti-Ransomeware tool can work alongside other security software and did not ask me to uninstall or disable other software that I had on my computer. One feature that I did not like is the User Interphase. I would have liked the user interphase to be more aesthetically pleasing, similar to the other Kaspersky software. I think the user interphase is too basic for 2021. I also think the company should have included a few more features in the Free version without prompting users to pay for the premium version making the free version a little frustrating for the users. Also, I would recommend using this tool alongside the default windows security software because this would add an extra layer of security to the computer. The main benefit I have realized the behavioral detection scan, which scans the system for any abnormal behaviors in the installed software. This has allowed me to add another layer of security to my computer because I have many business information and research data stored on my laptop. I love Kaspersky for working with the security software that I already have installed on my computer, so it truly becomes an additional layer of security.
