"An easy to use quick environment for testing sketchy links"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Kasm Workspaces?

Super easy to use, quick to set up and copy&paste information (which you often use when visiting URLs, etc), and very intuitive, responsive UI.

But hands down the best feature of Kasm is that: It can run Doom.

- the Kasm Chrome option is the favourite of the colleagues Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kasm Workspaces?

Sometimes a bit slow in latency even if the server is close to your location. Since we often employ company VPNs or alternative private networks, this can reduce the responsiveness of the software, but overall still usable.

- sometimes the Kasm website login page bugged out for us redirecting to a different home page which has been strange

- we have been slightly less sure about the usefullness of the Firefox environment due to the following: We prefer to use Firefox for any general browsing where security or privacy is a concern - hence almost always. Only when it comes to testing how a user would react to a strange email do we turn to Chrome. Since most people use the latter without extensions, etc, on discard-able machines we always run a Chrome env to best simulate average user's use-case. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Secure Desktop for Email/Files/Websites"
5/5
What do you like best about Kasm Workspaces?

Kasm provides a safe way to visit websites, check webmail and open files without putting my computer at risk. As a realtor, I have to open files from clients and colleagues who may not have the latest security protections. By using a desktop in the cloud, I can ensure that my computer is not compromised. What do you dislike about Kasm Workspaces?

Additional browser login when opening the desktop. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Kasm Workspaces?

The quick deployment model that allows users to deploy an isolated box. I also very much enjoy the ability to hook into existing LDAP. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kasm Workspaces?

One of my biggest downside right now, is the ability to configure network modes on each application. This requires a code change from kasm's end. I've raised a request for support, but haven't gotten any information yet. Would be nice if they responded even if its not a quick fix. Just to note, i am a community member, and i do not pay for support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Extremely valuable, disposable desktop/browser that you can self-host"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Kasm Workspaces?

I am able to self-host on a Linux server I have at home. It runs on Dockers and the installation steps were relatively easy. It allows me to keep some of my online work separate from my normal account both at home and at work. I can even, with Chrome, set it up so that it has an icon in my taskbar and launches like an app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kasm Workspaces?

Getting it to work with Caddy and persistent profiles/volumes wasn't the smoothest experience, but wasn't terrible. The persistent profiles/volumes issue might have to do with my running it under Dockers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Cloud Hosted Applications and Desktops"
5/5
What do you like best about Kasm Workspaces?

Cloud service that provides access to applications, desktops and browsers. This allows me to interact with the web without putting my browser/computer at risk. The Sharing feature is very useful for screen sharing without having to join into a web conference application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kasm Workspaces?

File upload is through the control panel instead of drag-and-drop. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great for peace of mind!"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Kasm Workspaces?

The security and peace of mind from having an entirely isolated browser means I can visit websites and not worry if they secretly have malicious code on the site. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kasm Workspaces?

The environment can feel a bit delayed depending on your connection, however the video quality controls help remedy this a bit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Secure, versatile, and reliable"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Kasm Workspaces?

It's built on top of mature technologies and is simple to use and administer. No need to install extra software on client machines. Use your browser. Integrates with SAML and supports MFA. Provides Proxy and DLP functions. No need to setup bastion hosts. Physically and logically segregate different users and/or networks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kasm Workspaces?

In the year of using this product I haven't seen much to dislike. It works smoothly. It can run a little slow if you don't provide enough resources to the server. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Useful for fishy (or phishing 😉) links"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Kasm Workspaces?

I like how fast the virtual desktops boot up, it only takes a few seconds then pow, you’ve got a safe desktop to use for testing insecure links and other things. Plus, you can get rid of all traces of the VM with 2 clicks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kasm Workspaces?

The free version doesn’t allow access to most sites, the only things it will allow are things like Google and such. I wish they could expand it more. The 30 minute limit is saddening, but understandable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
