"Amazing Software"
5/5
What do you like best about Kasm Workspaces?

Kasm is just quite amazing. I haven't seen any other software stream a docker container to your browser! I am just blown away at how amazing Kasm is. You can create your own images, virtually customize every aspect about Kasm and more. Kasm really helps me malware test, click on suspicious links without putting my PC in jeopardy. What do you dislike about Kasm Workspaces?

Nothing really. I had some issues at first but Kasm support helped me out! Thanks! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love the solution is based around docker containers and as such is something a DevOps team can work quickly with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kasm Workspaces?

At the time of writing the Ubuntu version was 18.04 and for compliance and software build reasons Ubuntu 20.04 would be a better desktop. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

5/5
What do you like best about Kasm Workspaces?

The Security of the Virtual Machine was impressive. NO Data Leaks. Logged on remotely. trusted for banking credentials and online shopping. Email , messaging Privately

Browser Isolation impeccable, fast and intuitive

DAAS using desktop right where you stand

Virtual Desktop remarkable, undeniable fast connection Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kasm Workspaces?

The only downside was that the Trail was very limited. only-begotten 1 hour to use the Virtual Machine. I would like to see a longer trail period for interested users. Provide a better user interface for the not so technically inclined. The log on screen was out dated as well. But all in all it's hard to find anything wrong with such a genius and ready to go solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent solution for Browser Isolation and controllable Linux Desktops"
5/5
What do you like best about Kasm Workspaces?

1. The ability to provide on-demand Linux Desktop environments from any browser.

In troubleshooting Web Development issues, I'm normally on a Windows 10 PC, so being able to start up an on-demand Linux Desktop allows me to handle things in a Linux environment without having to use a VPS or dedicated Linux install. And thanks to the optional persistence, when I start up the Desktop, I can choose if I want it to be a clean install or pick up where I left off.

2. Configurability

Out-of-the-box, it's completely functional and requires no configuration. But there's so much that you CAN tweak and configure to your needs.

3. Responsiveness of Support

I've contacted Kasm Support for a couple install and management issues, and they are extremely responsive and helpful. In fact, I had a feature suggestion, and it was included in the succeeding release! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kasm Workspaces?

1. Scope of available applications.

I'd love to see them increase their library of available "Kasms" to include additional applications. They have done a nice job in expanding the available applications within the Deluxe Desktop Kasm, but I'd love to see additional "isolated" applications, if feasible. I can understand that this takes time.

2. Custom Kasm development

I haven't dug into this yet, but it appears that you need extensive knowledge of Docker to be able to create custom Kasms. Their documentation on this seems sparse, but it may be my inexperience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Virtual Desktops and Apps with DevOps best practices."
5/5
What do you like best about Kasm Workspaces?

One of the most challenging task me as a VDI engineer is to build images. There are technologies like Citrix App Layering that help but the process requires manual configuration which is often not documented or forgotten and adds administrative overhead.

The image build process with Kasm is done as code, I build mine in VSCode just as I would build a dockerfile. Using devops practices to build base/gold images reduces the administrative overhead since future upgrades won't require for me to re-install apps or reconfigure settings in the OS. Having the base image in code also allows for team collaboration since everyone in my team can see line by line what is done on the gold image instead of relying on SMEs or App owners to share information on how specific apps are installed.

I also like that I can apply different settings based on groups, OOB integration with LDAP/SAML for authentication and OOB web filtering for users.

I have implemented different VDI solutions over 15 years of experience in the field and Kasm is the most innovative solution since they are leveraging containers for VDI with DevOps and security practices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kasm Workspaces?

Not being able to run some windows apps since the technology is Linux based but hope this will change in the near future as most applications are web based and now developing for different OSs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
