"All-in-one solution for marketers, with a few things missing."
4/5
What do you like best about Kartra?

1) Having a complete solution for all my needs

2) Done for you campaigns (saves a TON of time)

3) Templates are nicely done

4) Support is helpful and present Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kartra?

1) Checkout forms: they are very limited (for example, you can't insert custom fields nor make them mandatory); this is a big problem as it doesn't allow me to gather all the data I need to comply with the Italian law.

2) Not listening enough to customer's opinions/needs: there are some feature requests created 1-2 years ago, that have not been implemented

3) Bandwith: I believe it's very limited. The vast majority of companies don't have such strict bandwidths.

4) Some things in general with the interface are not that straightforward: for example, if you close the browser windows where you've been working but haven't saved, no message will pop-up telling you that you haven't saved. Or, if you save, and right after you exit from the editor, a message will pop-up telling you that you'll lose all the unsaved work (it doesn't make sense having this if you have indeed saved). "Great platform but challenging to learn for the lessexperienced "

What do you like best about Kartra?

Kartra does many of the things that my virtual assistant loves for summits and webinars. It looks clean on the receiver (emails, etc) and colors are easy on the eyes when you are the user. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kartra?

I love learning in a simple way, but Kartra does not make it simple for the regular user to learn the platform even with the Kartraverse Training portal. It will require too much of my time to dig and start working it. I am a physician who would like to have the ease to start doing my own summits without the help of a virtual assistant but it would take me tooooo long!

Also the price point is high. Now I have gone for a $99/month to a $199, so I am seriously consider to change.

Categories to find what you want to do are not simple and as a person who would use it less than often for now, I is time wasting to go through each category to find the place I need to go and complete a specific job. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"So, So Good But Lacks In The User-Friendly Department"

What do you like best about Kartra?

There are a lot of things to like about Kartra, specifically the absolute all-in-one platform they have. It goes far beyond just designing a website/landing page or sending an email. They cover all the bases - from websites, landing pages, email marketing/automation with sequences and tagging, funnels, simple e-commerce, digital downloads, membership sites, help desk, scheduling, forms, affiliates and now an agency solution. If you'd like to consolidate the many platforms you use, Kartra can handle 95% of everything you throw at it.

Their support group on Facebook is second to none. They truly care about their people and it shows; it's like a family. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kartra?

Learning the platform was a long, complicated process. They have people lined up that will help "onboard" you and while that's extremely helpful and effective, I think it's always beneficial to know your platform inside and out so you can make necessary changes as needed and not have to depend on the support team, or others. Because of the complexity, there's a time-consuming process you'll have to undertake before you can "go live". I mean, it makes sense due to the fullness and depth of their platform, just be sure to go into it knowing: (1), the trial is not nearly long enough to know if it's a right fit for your business, and (2), it'll take time to setup your workflows and make sense of how everything is integrated, and (3), host your videos elsewhere or you'll get eaten alive in bandwith overcharges.

Kartra has what they call Kartraverse, which is like a step-by-step training course on how to use their platform. It's superb and very informative; however, it's still in its infancy and you have to wait until they create the next lesson before you can do in-depth with whatever topic they decide, and that was often frustrating. With that said, however, they also do a lot of webinars that are in-depth and full of insight, but sitting through a webinar to find one answer is a bit defeating when you're in a hurry or just not really sure what exactly you're even looking for. Their documentation leaves a little to be needed.

Their page designer is also a bit on the clunky side without a lot of flexibility, and that's one place where they lost me. I don't like being held to rigid flows, templates and outlines. There's also not a way to remove their branding from emails, just so you know, in case that's a big turn-off for you. Kartra requires a lot of back and forth and in the beginning that can be extra confusing and frustrating. Once you get to know their method, it definitely makes sense, but it just seems that there has to be a better way of doing it so it's more user friendly.

PS: Make sure you save your work... and save often! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A comprehensive All-in-One business solution"
5/5
What do you like best about Kartra?

So many aspects of my business can be addressed through Kartra. It saves me from having to subscribe to many different service providers. I truly love the (almost) All-in-One approach. There are many training videos and the Facebook group is an awesome resource for extra tips and immediate help. I am happy with Kartra, because it allowed me to really upgrade the online presence of my business, and to automate my sales and the communication with my clients. It enhances my ability to have a detailed database of my clients, their purchase activity and browsing behaviors. Once I learned how to utilize the different modules, it became very easy to duplicate existing segments or modify templates. I also appreciate, that Karta continues to work on the integration of even more features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kartra?

There are new features added frequently. That is in itself a good thing. But it requires keeping up with the changes. A couple of times it resulted in me having to redo things. So sometimes the many different levels of complexity interfere with each other and create a bit extra work. Also, the initial learning was pretty time consuming. "Truly excellent all-in-one marketing automation solution"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Kartra?

I love how well it covers the bases and fits together, eliminating the need for all the usual collection of various software solutions (that you end up working hard to get talking to each other and continuing to do so smoothly). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kartra?

I'd like to see a more mature page builder. But Thrive Architect is peerless in that respect, and I doubt if Kartra will catch up to that level. In fairness, I use Kartra for most things and Thrive Architect for my actual web pages, and that's a great match. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Very Powerful and Capable but Steep Learning Curve"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Kartra?

The flexibility and numerous configuration options make this a very capable CRM and auto-mailer system. It seems like the OEM has really though through the use cases and the result is a very robust feature set Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kartra?

The learning curve is not a curve, it's more like a 90-degree wall. In spite of the videos and online Wiki, this is a very complicated system to configure. All of the power and flexibility (and there is a whole lot of both) has translated into a system that is not intuitive in the least. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Amazing platform for online business. I wish I would have grabbed it at the beta rate."
4/5
What do you like best about Kartra?

Kartra is awesome for coaches/course creators/consultants and those with a need for a membership platform. The payoff once everything is set up is that it's mostly hands-off and runs itself. It's super easy to attach your payment processor(s) and create different payment options for your products. Setting up each area is accompanied by inline, easy to understand instruction that even self-professed non-techies can conquer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kartra?

One issue I had with Kartra was that each element had to be published before it could be attached/linked to another, which means a lot of back and forth when you have a product that has multiple parts: product, landing page, membership portal + all the little pieces that made each of those up.

The other issue, which was an issue for me as an advanced WordPress designer, was the restrictions and having to format each block of the design repeatedly. Admittedly, given time constraints of the project, I was unable to search around for landing page customization tutorials which may have helped to iron out the issues we were having with how images appeared on mobile if even the tiniest modification was made to a preset content block.

The saving grace with that part of the cons was that it was super easy for me to create the landing pages we wanted in WordPress and have CTA buttons connect to the checkout page and subsequent automations in Kartra, so it wasn't a total loss. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
