"Streamlined Workflows, Better Collaboration"
5/5
What do you like best about Karbon?

I find Karbon incredibly useful for managing all our customer communication and workflows in one place, which keeps our work environment cohesive whether we're in the office or remote. I really like using the triage as my inbox since it makes processing emails so easy. Sharing information widely and having it easily referenced at a later date is a big plus. The workflows and automation features are fantastic for moving tasks between team members efficiently. Karbon's integration with tools like Vinyl is a major benefit, where meeting summaries automatically sync to client timelines. The system evolves quickly with valuable improvements based on user feedback. Working with the Karbon team is enjoyable; they're really easy to collaborate with and great at helping with setup and changes. The communication features, like tagging, make it easy to connect with the right groups in our firm. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Karbon?

Honestly, nothing significant comes to mind. Karbon has been a great fit for our team and continues to improve with regular updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Consistent, Step-by-Step Templates That Keep Our Processes on Track"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Karbon?

Consistency of the processes. Forces me to think about a task in sequential steps and record them. Then, later as I use the template, when I find areas of improvement by either adding or deleting steps, I do so on an ongoing basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Karbon?

The on-boarding was not the smoothest. It took me almost 6 months before I finally understood how to efficiently build a workable template. I guess that's part of the process.

Then, the lack of a scheduling module. When I schedule tax returns for work at a later date, the scheduled work disappears from view. This makes is very difficult to know what's the load ahead and it also makes it almost impossible to move a project from one time slot to another. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Karbon Keeps Our Team Aligned and Saves Hours with Automation"
5/5
What do you like best about Karbon?

Karbon has been a game-changer for our firm — having client emails, tasks, and deadlines all in one shared workspace means nothing slips through the cracks and the whole team stays aligned. The workflow templates and automation alone have saved us countless hours on recurring engagements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Karbon?

The main drawbacks are the learning curve during onboarding — it takes time to get the whole team fully up to speed — and the cost, which can feel steep for smaller firms. A few features, like the client portal, also aren't as polished as dedicated standalone tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Can not live without Karbon"
5/5
What do you like best about Karbon?

Karbon really “tames” my email and helps me stay on top of my tasks by keeping everything organized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Karbon?

There isn’t anything specific that I dislike about the software. I’ve been using it for almost 10 years now, and I know I’m not taking full advantage of everything it offers, but it still makes my work life so much better by helping me stay on top of assignments and tasks. "Karbon Keeps Everything in One Place for Effortless Organization"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Karbon?

I love that Karbon lets us keep everything in one place. The way everything flows together makes it much easier to stay organized, especially when work items and correspondence are connected and easy to track in the same spot. Being able to add emails to client timelines or to the work item timeline has really been a game changer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Karbon?

I think the document sorting has some downfalls. It would be nice to be able to have folders that could be named where you can sort documents out instead of just by work item. Makes it a little harder to find documents quickly, especially if you are not sure what work item the document would have been loaded to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All-in-One Suite With Seamless Billing Integration and Major AI Time Savings"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Karbon?

A fully built out suite of products and tools that support not only internal behind the scene workflows but also pushing deliverables out and client checklists. Integrates with our outside billing system seamlessly. With their Aider acquisition, AI support with month end close has resulted in huge time savings and a consistent standard applied across all of our firms clients. For our tax workflows their deep integration with Stanford has simplified and streamlined tax organizer and document collection that while not only saving time for the firm creates a seamless flow for our clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Karbon?

Their native billing solution is in it's early stages. We may transition from an outside product once those features are a little more robust. I know their working on that! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Karbon Keeps Our Firm Organized "
4.5/5
What do you like best about Karbon?

After using Karbon more, I really appreciate how well it keeps our team organized. The task management and workflow tracking make it easy to see what needs to be done and who is responsible. Communication is also much smoother because everything related to a client is in one place, which saves time and reduces the need to search through emails. Overall, it has become an important part of keeping our daily work efficient and on track. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Karbon?

Karbon is a great platform overall, but there are a few areas that could be improved. I would like to see faster performance in some parts of the application, along with more customization options for workflows and dashboards. Better search capabilities and a few additional quality-of-life improvements for navigating between tasks and clients would also make the experience even better. Overall, these are minor improvements, and the software has been a great fit for our team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Transformational CRM with Robust Collaboration"
5/5
What do you like best about Karbon?

Karbon's recent improvements that allow further insight on our team's KPIs and showing how work actually moves forward in the queue has been extremely invaluable to gaining information on where our bottlenecks are and how to improve them. Our biggest setback before was that we didn't have the data, and now that we do, we feel even more empowered to make decisions based on our reality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Karbon?

Engagements is still not where it needs to be at for us to adopt this system for our practice. The client portal also has some holes that are preventing us from using it - namely, the fact that you can not link it to a family grouping. We assign all of our T1 works to the family group instead of an individual, so without the ability to use family groups in the client portal, we would have to completely change the way we structure our work and client data. "Karbon is very easy to navigate and efficient in the workspace"
5/5
What do you like best about Karbon?

What I like most about Karbon is how it keeps our team organized and accountable. The workflow automation, work templates, and task management features make it easy to standardize our processes, collaborate across the team, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks. It has become a central hub for managing client work efficiently while improving visibility, communication, and consistency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Karbon?

Karbon has been a great tool overall, but there are a few areas where it could improve. I’d love to see more flexibility in automations, better bulk editing capabilities, and more customization for work templates and reporting. Improvements to mobile functionality, document management, and integrations with other accounting applications would also help streamline workflows and reduce manual work. "Karbon Keeps Tasks and Emails Organized—Nothing Slips Through"
5/5
What do you like best about Karbon?

What I like most about Karbon is that it keeps all our tasks and emails organized in one place. It’s easy to see who is responsible for each task, and we can track everything to make sure nothing gets missed. It helps the team stay on top of work and gives me peace of mind knowing that no task is left behind. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Karbon?

Currently, the features are amazing for me. However, the mobile version has some limitations, and there are fewer things we can do compared to the desktop version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
